Olio e Limone Ristorante
Our experience at Olio e Limone was fabulous. The superb food, outstanding service, and elegant but cozy atmosphere made the evening an experience to treasure.
Nice atmosphere, good cuisine and excellent service by a charming lady, very competent and knowledgeable. The risotto of squid is highly recommended.
Closest you can get to Italy without flying to Rome. High class but relaxed. Impeccable food and service.
Everything was fantastic! We especially enjoyed the Anchovy appetizer and the stuffed Quail entree. We will definitely be back. Thank you.
Excellent. We will be back!
This is a very elegant Italian restaurant and the food was great. I highly recommend. Our local friends told us their pizza place is also great.
Excellent choice for authentic Italian in Santa Barbara.
Pros: fantastic food but that is where it ends.
Cons: horrible service, ambience was sorely lacking, noise was pretty bad. I won’t be returning
The owner Elaine provides exceptional customer service to all her guests. We had dinner for four on Friday night and everyone loved the food and wine!
Truly one of my favorite restaurants in Santa Barbara!
Perfect restaurant. Noise level was perfect too. Food delicious. Everyone cleaned their plates. Service was fabulous. Always around when needed. Can’t wait to go back. Eggplant soufflé appetizer off the charts.
Very traditional, very good food and terrific service. Glad we split the appetizer, pasta and entrees as all portions were extremely large with rich flavors. Tricolore salad featured asparagus and a lot of shaved Parmesan. Mushroom risotto was tremendous with a Dover Sole closer the perfect light finish. Throw in a surprising banana chocolate bread pudding dessert, some great, interesting cocktails and some surprising Italian craft beers, and you've got quite a meal. Well done.
so delicious!! and nice atmospher and kind and tender waiters!!! Thank you verymuch!!!
Wonderful food and staff!
Salads are all delicious
Angel hair pasta nice red sauce with a touch of heat
Olio Limone is one of my "Go to" places in the city. The service, food and lighting is always spot-on.
Thank you for another wonderful evening.
I was in Santa Barbara for the weekend and made a dinner reservation. I had been here once for lunch with a friend so it was on my radar as a good spot. Dinner was delicious. It was busy but also somehow very quiet and service was great. I was very happy with my meal and our dining experience. Would definitely go back next time I’m in SB
Great food and service
My favorite dinner location in Santa Barbara. Third time I have been. First for my wife. Both loved it. Will be back.
Best Italian food in Santa Barbara. Food was top notch as was service and ambiance. We will go back again and again when traveling to Santa Barbara.
This restaurant has wonderful food and a lovely atmosphere. The service was excellent. I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner. It is appropriate for a romantic evening or a group.
Delicious food. Only negative was that the anchovy salad came with Arugula and not mache (lamb’s lettuce) as described on the menu.
I have hearing problem and being in the middle of the restaurant makes conversation difficult. When we arrived for our reservation, the waiter indicated one of four table in the middle of the room were available. There were two tables in the corners next to the Private dining room that were empty, but I supposed that since those options were not suggested that they were received.
IF we come again I would want one of those table
Thanks you for asking about nice.
Superb pizza! Many other things on the menu as well - didn’t try. Nice refined atmosphere.
Olio e Limone never disappoints. The cocktails were inventive, strong and delicious, and the wine lists extensive, especially as to the wines available by the glass. They didn't skimp on the salads either, and they were almost large enough to be entrees unto themselves. All the entrees at our table were delicious, but the pumpkin squash ravioli was more so, including the great sauce. Our only regret was we didn't have time for coffee and dessert. It was simply a memorable meal.
The food was delicious and our server was outstanding. Highly recommend and will absolutely be back
Whenever we go to Santa Barbara, Olio e Lomine is the first dinner on our list. We love it there, and have not ever been disappointed. The food is always delicious, and the ambiance something we look forward to always. A wonderful treat...highly recommend.
I have been to this restaurant on about 6 occasions and have had the pleasure of meeting Gigi, our waitress, each time but last week, we were met by a very non- welcoming waiter who treated myself and my guests with almost disdain. He had a difficult to understand accent and when asked to please repeat the specials, he seemed to be upset that we couldn’t understand and was reluctant to explain the sauce on the bass special versus plain grilling.
My out of town guests noticed this as well and were upset.
The other waiter assisting him practically threw the silver on the table and was very rough filling the water glasses— I felt I was in some cheap cafe!
When I realized I had no knife and asked him for one, he took one off the adjacent table, and handed it to me with his back turned to me. I felt totally disrespected and I felt that they thought we were tourists who should be gotten in and gotten out as quickly as possible.
The bill of course was steep and I paid it and tipped them although they deserved no tip!
The food was just OK and the whole experience was miserable.
I will never return to this restaurant again!
We don’t get to Santa Barbara often, but when we do we always go for dinner. It makes the whole trip special.
The menu had the perfect amount of choices/variety. I was very pleased to find abundant vegetarian options. My husband was thrilled with his “perfect “ ribeye. Service was impeccable and the vibe was relaxed yet casually elegant. Impressive wine selection, but I prefer cocktails - try the Rosmarino! I will certainly come back the next time I’m in Santa Barbara.
The crudo was amazing. The pumpkin ravioli was unbelievable. The chicken saltimbocca was also a hit!
Would recommend for the amazing food but the service was lacking
Great attentive team service, our server extremely knowledgeable and helpful!!
Excellent job by all!
Good Italian, with a lot of choices. Great service, decent wine selection.
The food and choices were very diversified and an array of good choices. The room was filled and could have ben noisy, however we were in the corner which was sheltered from other conversation (which is a good thing). The service seemed to be either short handed that night or they were just very slow. We had to ask for our server at least three times and when we finally ordered our dessert, they gave us the check first and forgot to serve us our desserts. However, the server did not charge us once the final bill showed up.
Very Good Food!!!
To be frank, the food was not great and not up to the standards we have experienced in the past here. The blossom appetizer was over done. One of the pasta dishes was low on flavor and one of the risotto dishes was soggy with too much liquid. Very disappointing.
My friend (who is in the restaurant business himself) and I have eaten here before and, in the past, were happy with everything . However, this time we found the waiters to be very hard to find and inattentive. We hope that it was simply a bad day.
Olio e Limone Ristorante is an outstanding Italian restaurant. Excellent food, service, choice of wine and environment. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Appealing menu with very good food! The gnocchi and the veal piccata were both delicious. As with many of our Santa Barbara restaurants, servers seem hurried and don't take much time to go over the menu. It took a while for them to come by to take our order for a glass of wine to get us started. All in all I really like this restaurant.
Once we were seated we had good service and dinner, however we were left standing by the door for a long time to be seated and felt ignored by staff who had seen us. I appreciate that people are busy but just an acknowledgement that we were there would have been nice. I noticed 2 other customers had the same experience and they just left.
Food was great, service was disappointing
