Olio e Limone Ristorante
Olio e Limone Ristorante, located in downtown Santa Barbara's historic arts district, serves artisanal Italian cuisine. Meaning “oil and lemon” in Italian, their restaurant’s name reflects husband-wife team Alberto and Elaine Morello’s philosophy: rely on the integrity of the ingredients and quality of the preparation to provide Santa Barbara diners “simply sophisticated” Italian cuisine served in an inviting atmosphere with European hospitality. Start with eggplant souffle, then tuck into a plate of house made duck ravioli. And be sure to take home a bottle of their own olio, an organic extra-virgin olive oil made from Sicilian olive varieties.
Bonus: their Milano-styled Olio Crudo Bar, and authentic pizzeria next door at Olio Pizzeria.

Consistently excellent in both food quality, taste and selections. Service is wonderful. Ambiance created in an outdoor “Covid” year is beautiful! So sad for the lockdown during our holiday season which will impact five star restaurants like Olio e Limone restaurant. 💜
The food was fantastic as was the service and setting!!
Great food and service. Patio well set up for covid with heaters.
The food was excellent. The service was also very excellent.
Amazing food and great staff. Had a great dinner and look forward to coming back when we are in town next.
Fantastic experience! My family enjoyed it so much we went back for a second time the following day. Great food and service. And the ambiance was just perfect! Highly recommend!
Wonderful food and wine. It was a fun experience to eat outside during this covid time. Looking forward to going back.
The menu was too eclectic for my taste, missing the whole point of Italian cuisine: not complicated, but with a few perfect flavors. My saltimbocca had marsala sauce, my eggplant timbal had all kinds of stuff, my gnocchi were equally chuck full of all kinds of ingredients. The food was pretty good, but generally, overdone in terms of complexity. It was well-cooked and delightfully served, however.
Phenomenal Italian meal with great service. We sat outside on a cool night, but their heaters kept us warm. We had a wonderful evening with great food, terrific service with a wonderful atmosphere. Highly HIGHLY recommend.
Excellent in every way! Would highly recommend. Enjoy!
As good as the short ribs are, go for the duck ravioli.
The waiter remembered me from my last visit and was very welcoming. The patio was very pleasant. Food was excellent as always. I will be back more often.
Like most wonderful restaurants this year, Olio has lost a step from the instability caused by Covid. The salmon was wonderful but the chicken with artichoke hearts and lemon was tough. The asparagus soup was a delight but the Panna Cotta was ordinary. The ambience was a bit spartan, the service was mostly very professional. Restaurants have been put through hell and it has taken a toll.
One of my top choices in Santa Barbara. The service is excellent, the atmosphere is peaceful and the food is always good.
Great experience at Olio e Limone. Eva (host) was wonderful, she was handling several things, was able to sit us inside before our scheduled time. Thank You Eva. Food was great, Service excellent. Well done.
It is always a special treat for us to dine at Olio e Limone Restaurant to enjoy an authentic Italian cousin. Service is efficient and warm. I would just suggest to have more "authentic Italian" desserts. We will keep going back as our favorite restaurant in Santa Barbara.
Another superb meal at this truly authentic Italian restaurant, with a nicely varied menu of appetizers, pastas, seafood and traditional meat dishes, perfectly prepared. Seriously, one of our favorite restaurants in the world. Even foodies admit it's outstanding. Share the tortolloni di spinaci in a fresh tomato sauce as a starter. Yum!
e had a ftic evening. The food, the service...everything about this place is perfection!
Surpassed expectations! Terrific waiter with great suggestions. We had the spinach ravioli, pasta bolognese and the burrata/egglant salad was amazing!
We could not have found a more perfect place for a late dinner on a difficult 500-mile road trip that began with a flat tire! It was like coming home, except with no cooking or dishwashing. The food is superb, and the drinks are generous (always one of our criteria for a repeat!); service was gracious and humorous. Our fennel soup (fantastic!) was served with "Olio" written in an olive oil float. We exclaimed how nice that looked. Our wonderful server placed it in front of us with a flourish, remarking, "Sorry, no room to write the phone number!" Olio e Limone is right next to a public parking lot, so on top of all its great attributes, it is also very conveniently located.
Absolutely perfect for a romantic anniversary dinner. Delicious risotto and ravioli special and wonderful service.
had a nice time dining, it is what i have expected
Excellent food ,service and outdoor safe dining experience . Very relaxed and quiet . Best restaurant in SB. Highest Recommendation
Outstanding. A true gem in Santa Barbara.
Nice night. Service was great. It got really busy after we arrived so maybe got lucky.
Wonderful pasta - ours had a short rib sauce that was spectacular!
Food, hospitality, wine selections were all outsanding. Silvio was a great server too.
Service was impeccable and the specials that evening were delicious. We enjoyed their seabass dish and a special pasta. Will become a dinner spot for us when visiting Santa Barbara.
Exceptional food and very reasonable and excellent wine list. The servers are professional waiters and are very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Street side seating for fine Italian food. Pastas and fresh fish were our choices during our last visit. A lovely place to celebrate life.
We are fortunate to have a gem like Olio e Limone in Santa Barbara.
The food is fantastic. The service was attentive but laid back enough that you can just enjoy. The outside dining was set up will observing Covid.
Have been coming back for years and always the same high level .
The calpaccio, salad, the pasta, every dish was excellent! Service was very professional. Will visit again for sure.
We will be back! The food was the greatest we’ve had in a long time.
Excellent, authentic food. Lovely atmosphere. Ate outside and enjoyed the cafe setting.
We always enjoy Olio Limone, we especially liked sitting outside toasting our anniversary.
