    Olea is an outstanding restaurant. Its modern Spanish cuisine is creative as it combines ingredients in special ways and uses ingredients in innovative ways. The menu is spot on. The wine list is very good, emphasizing Spanish wines, but presenting a good selection of other terroirs as well. The service was outstanding. We thank Hugo for helping to make our evening perfect.

    There is no better place in the New Haven area to dine. The owner/maitre d’ knows you, the staff are the same and get to know you and the food is always superb. It’s where discriminating people, especially Yale faculty choose to dine for a reason. I am there at least every few weeks and never think it gets old.

    Sleek interior, beautifully trained and attentive staff, ethereal food. Unfortunately, the din precludes any sort of conversation.

    The food and service were both amazing. It was difficult enough to pick an entree, with all the options. Later we gave up choosing, and ordered 6 desserts for 5 of us. So glad. The pastry chef is a genius.

    As usual, everything was delicious. The pear salad which was a special was superb. Hope it can become a regular item on the menu.

    We’ve been a fan of Olea for several years but in the past year they have taken it to a new level. The cuisine is refined without being pretentious. The tasting menu is to die for. Our favorite place for a special meal in New Haven

    Another wonderful night of delicious food and great friendly service. We absolutely enjoyed another Wonderful Birthday celebration. The tasting menu was delightful. Each course was delicious, with a variety of flavors and beautiful presentation. My favorite restaurant in New Haven. A real gem.
