Old Oyster Factory
Beautiful views and sunsets from every table overlooking Broad Creek.
Delicious food and great view!!! We enjoyed their sunset menu. Great service. Have celiac and can’t have gluten and they were very accommodating! Fish was excellent! I am very picky with eating fish out and I enjoyed my dinner. No complaints! Nice relaxing dinner with a great view!!
Old Oyster Factory easily accommodated our group of 6 couples. Serving sizes were ample and the food was good. Our server was exceptional; pleasant, timely, and met our needs.
Best service ever
Took out of town guests and they loved it
As usual we were not disappointed
Love the fact that I can make a reservation with Open Table. Seafood Pot Pie was excellent.
Beautiful view overlooking cranes and a gorgeous sunset reflecting of the marsh. The floor to ceiling windows and open concept gave us a great vibe. Fresh ingredients, fish and good selection of drinks. Good upbeat atmosphere, family friendly, but noise level was fine with plenty of space between tables.
Good service. Loved the Hilton Head ice cream for desert!
Awesome food & service! I would definitely recommend to friends and family!’
Great view but the food is average at best. This restaurant is called the “oyster factory “ but the oysters we ordered were the worst we’ve had on the island.
Good service. Swordfish / grits / collard greens .. Amazing!
Had a great time here. The food was excellent. If highly recommend the mahi mahi .
Place is attractive, service was very good. Food was bland and expensive.
I have dined here many times over the years The food and service are consistently on pointe.
Love this place! We always go there when we visit Hilton Head Island!
Grand fathers birthday.
Everything turned out just great. However the bartender didn't quite know how to make a good Italian Maragrita! I will return...
The atmosphere is beautiful with all the windows looking out on a salt water marsh. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Great service!
Our server, Petey, was outstanding. We were seated promptly at a lovely table with a great sunset view. We will return.
Been going there since it opened
I have been to the Old Oyster Factory twice recently with friends. Our food was delicious, attractively plated and served hot. The wait staff was attentive and helpful. Reservations are necessary. They have an excellent Early Bird menu. The view is spectacular. Highly recommended.
Great filets, spinach salad and service.
Reservation recommended, glad we used opentable to reserve.
Very disappointing for the price. We ordered their specials for the night. The scallops at $29 included 4 breaded breaded and fired scallops, a small scoop of rice and a few pieces of carrot and green beans arranged on a plate. The two crab cakes at $26 were soft and mushy without much flavor. We are happy to pay these prices for well prepared food, but this was quite bland. We had much better crabs cakes and local food at a small restaurant just down the road.
MahiMahi is a thick fish, mine was about. Quarter inch , 2 very small pieces & all the rest veggies.
For buy one get one the price was rediculous.
The shrimp was undercooked & made a person in our party sick.
Went during restaurant week. BOGO was excellent value. Our server was outstanding.
We had a very nice dinner with pretty good service. The restaurant was busy so I understand why the service was a bit inconsistent. The food was very good and well prepared, I had the cedar plank salmon which was excellent.
Taking the family out to dinner. It was AWESOME!
The food was fresh & delicious, as always! Our server, Carrie did a fantastic job.
Waiter not trained enough in dealing with a costumer who’s food is over seasoned with too much salt! 2 people ( out of a party of 8)at our table had same dish “Pork Chops” that was overly Salted! We were there 2 weeks before & did not have this problem! Only one of the 2 diners was given a discount!!! Everything else was fine!
I would absolutely recommend Old Oyster Factory to anyone I meet. We have taken all our guests there, and they all love it. Good food, great service, they really go above and beyond. Along with all the staff, a special shout-out to James and Frank who always make the experience special.
OOF never disappoints!
Great location, Good service, Good food, good ambience.
We've been to this restaurant 3 times in the last 2 months. The thing that first occurred to me this last time is that the wait staff has been outstanding each time. We were a party of 5 the first time and parties of 8 the last two visits and the service was efficient, and very pleasant and professional. Prices for some menu items are a little on the high side but not outrageous. They run a BOGO (buy-one/get-one) promotions regularly (at least off season, not sure about in-season) which is outstanding. This last visit I had the Low-Country Boil which I enjoyed very much and was plenty of food, including generous portions of scrimp and kielbasa.
Best food and service! And Frank was just awesome!!
We come to Hilton Head every year and never miss an evening at the Old Oyster Factory. The decor is fantastic and the food is terrific and the service is attentive. We would recommend this restaurant to everyone.
Got one side order wrong. Food was average. Had a buy one, get one special and bill still $75 after 18% tip. Will go back again, but hoping for superior food instead of just average.
We went to celebrate a birthday and took advantage of the two-for-one special. The food is outstanding! This was our second time in two weeks, and we weren't disappointed. The staff is friendly and the view unparalleled.
Delicious again and again! Our server James always make our dining experience nothing short of delightful! Great sunset views!
Fish was dry...we had sea bass not even sure it was that kind of fish because of dryness you couldn’t taste, asparagus was undercooked and chewy
Disappointing meal, three of us had and agreed.
Perhaps because we had bogo attention wasn’t applied as much as a full paying company.
I will offer credit for the restaurant permitting an exchange for risotto.
Old Oyster Factory was recommended by friends but we were truly disappointed.
Had reservations for 7 which worked out fine but downhill from there. The food was about on par with Captain D's! At least you know what to expect there. The service was of "closing time" quality. And getting into the restaurant was a real chore for my wife who had is recovering from a knee replacement.
Will not go back there!!
This restaurant which overlooks Broad Creek in Hilton Head, SC has a wonderful view where you can watch the wildlife and the sunset. The food is okay, but the real reason a first time visitor to Hilton Head has to go there is that is a place that has been there since before the tourists arrived. The hush puppies are wonderful too as is the gluten free flourless lava cake.
Old Oyster Factory is one of my favorites. Food quality is consistent and tasty. Service is great and value terrific. Great setting for sunsets too! I have gone with small and larger groups and always happy with their service.
