Old Oyster Factory
Beautiful views and sunsets from every table overlooking Broad Creek.
Semi private area off of main dining room seats 70ppl.
Birthday of my wife. It was good
LOVED THE FOOD. SERVICE WAS TERRIFIC. WOULD DEFINITELY GO BACK WHEN IN HH
After experiencing awesome meals around Hilton Head, I was underwhelmed by OOF. Our server did not bus our table hardly at all, and the very narrow table got cluttered. She also did not understand the concept of allowing us time to finish our dinner to ask us if we wanted dessert — we felt rushed. The scallops dish I had was under seasoned and quite a disappointment compared to other restaurants on the island. However, the views and atmosphere were terrific and so was the dessert.
Wow! Amazing experience! We sat outside and watched the sunset and the incoming tide. Drinks were fabulous, hush puppies delightful, and the Key Lime Salmon and the Low Country Boil were outstanding. Service was impeccable. Do you have six stars?
had reservation, waited fro table at bar, no big deal.
Gorgeous view and delicious food! We went for the early sunset specials.
We've been to Old Oyster Factory many times. And every time it turns out great. This place has a nice view, you can see the sky changing color as it starts getting dark; you can see the water reflecting the sky. And it's a beautiful wooden structure inside. They are famous for their seafood, which is as fresh as it can be. And simply delicious. This place is always busy, but it is worth the wait.
Amazing food. Great service. Would recommend to all.
Great food as always. Service was slow at times. I think waitress had too many tables .
Great food, nice family atmosphere, friendly staff, very busy, overbooked, make a reservation for sure!
We have eaten at the Old Oyster Factory 9 times before this trip and this was the first time I've ever had any complaints. I always order the Seafood Medley but this time it was cold. My husband's steak was "okay" and my daughter's chocolate chip cookie dessert was, in her words, "gross" (and she is not one to complain about treats). My biggest complaint was with our server who was MIA most of the time. I actually got up and refilled our water for us (twice) and grabbed more napkins. I had to switch to water after ordering Coke because she never came back.
I'm super upset and disappointed because, until now, this was by far my favorite restaurant on the entire island. The OOF has been a HHI staple for us for a decade but this was likely our last visit. It's far too pricey to gamble on questionable food and service.
Awesome food as always, thank you.
We had a great time. View was amazing. It was a good setting to celebrate my dad's birthday.
Fabulous views and food! The menu offers something for everyone.
Way too loud. Still a tourist trap but my fillet was very good. I am allergic to seafood the other four are not and their food was not outstanding.
People walking around the dining area to make an “important “ business call standing in the windows is rude. Hands down rude. Go outside and stop ruining everyone else’s meal with your stupid call.
Fantastic place, great food. View was awesome ..just a great placw all around. Highly recommended
It was quite hot temperature wise. Our meal would have been enjoyed better with a little air conditioning.
Food was great. Service was great. The restaurant was very hot. When I discussed this with the server because I thought the air conditioning was malfunctioning I was told it was always this way and customers frequently complain about it.
We had a wonderful dinner. The wait staff was very attentive. Frank was our waiter. I was so impressed how he could remember what we ordered without even writing it down. At the end of our meal he even had t-shirts for my daughter and her two cousins. The food was delicious. Eating here was one of the highlights of our vacation. Thank you!
Always great food at Old Oyster!
My mom and I came for dinner and when we got our good it was ice cold. Waitress took it back and reheated it. It was better. Second time we brought my Aunt. All entrees were cold AGAIN. Waitress took them back to reheat. Mine was still cold . The oysters Rockefeller and Savannah were like rubber..after the reheat. We were very disappointed and probably steer clear of there for awile.
Food was pretty good, but seemed a bit overpriced. Atmosphere was good for families with kids. Our waitress was excellent, but the host stand seemed a bit disorganized.
Great food, charming waitress and my wife was given a free dessert for her birthday.
Great view. Great service. Food is good, but not great. Sea bass and grouper were average in taste. Couple people had steak - average as well.
My husband and I visited Old Oyster Factory on vacation in Hilton Head Island, SC for the first time in 3 years. They did not disappoint. When I made the reservation, I requested a waterside table indoors, not expecting that they would be able to accommodate the request since it was dinner time at the height of the summer season. We got what we requested!! My husband had the 6 oz filet and I had the pecan encrusted grouper - both at least 4 star worthy. The waiter was knowledgeable and excellent and when I informed him of my shellfish allergy, he assured me that the kitchen had processes in place to ensure my safety. The evening was a success, we had a beautiful view and we look forward to dining here again when we return to Hilton Head Island!
Was an average touristy seafood restaurant. Food was good but over priced. I suggest making reservations, we got in fast because of that. Would have been disappointed if I’d had to wait an hour or more. Service was friendly.
Party of six squeezed into a four top. Not enough room to enjoy the meal adequately. I found the food to be wonderful but service not so much and the temperature of the dining room extremely warm.
Overall the food was delicious but for the price, I would like to enjoy my meal without being uncomfortable both in terms of seating and temperature.
Great dinner excellent food. Seafood medley was awesome. Loved the marscapone dessert. Will eat here again.
Fireworks on Tuesday night while sitting outside was great. Service was wonderful as well
We were in Hilton Head for vacation and dined at Old Oyster Factory on our last night. The food, service, drinks, view and atmosphere were superb. We will definitely come back on our next trip to HHI!!
Love love this place!! Used Open Table App and only had a 5 minute wait!
With the family on vacation. The place was busy so glad we made a reservation but lots of seating. Staff was friendly and the food was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Nice view of the channel.
Received email after visit indicating I would not receive Open Table points from this reservation. No explanation given. Puzzling. Never happened before.
The swordfish was excellent as well as the crab artichoke dip would highly recommend eating there if your in hilton head
Had a really pleasant experience, everyone was nice and food was good. Service was fast and reasonably priced.
Oysters were a joke, some of them so small should have been thrown away. We sent calamari back so greasy they took it off the bill. The food came out so fast you can tell they are looking to turn tables fast so it was all pre cooked. Would never go back, too many better restaurants to visit. This place is a tourist trap.
We were surprised at the diner style atmosphere. It was incredibly noisy. Difficult to have a conversation at our table. Food was mediocre. Definitely not one of our top dining experiences on HHI.
The food is quite pedestrian, oversalted and unimaginative
Amazing food and staff.
Wasn't their best performance, but what do you expect on the 4th of July weekend. We got seated in a reasonable amount of time for our reservation. The smoke salmon is still the best anywhere for an appetizer. The three different meals were cooked properly especially the medium rare salmon, but with both fish dishes the veggies were barely cooked, more blashed than al-dante. Brin did an excellent job as she was handling several large tables.
