                                                                                                      The clam chowder was excellent and Jambalaya exquisite- the perfect about of spicy heat and tender shrimp, chicken and andouille sausage! The key lime pie was homemade and delicious. Our server was friendly and attentive and shared the history of the restaurant. It’s a must go-to!

                                                                                                      Best clam chowder ever. Just a hint of sweetness. Hands down the best fried calamari on the planet! The crab cake was sweet and savory and moist. And a young seal all alone in shallow the shallows just rolling and diving and slapping the water outside our window, either just playing or churning up the sand for treats. Great time!

                                                                                                      Made the reservation to celebrate our anniversary based on award winning clam chowder reviews and Dungeness crab offering then got blown away by the hospitality, service, and food quality. Our server Brad was impeccable. While my wife happily ate her favorite crab, I went with the chef special braised lamb shank with soft polenta. Flavorful, fall off the bone tender with not a dry or stingy morsel at all; absolute perfection. Highly recommend and is a must visit if only for the chowder. A little on the pricey side but worth every penny. It's not just dinner but truly a dining experience for all your senses.

                                                                                                      We travel through Monterey every year and always stop at this restaurant. Seafood can be tricky to not over cook and this restaurant has it down to perfection. From crispy calamari to Pasta Isabella everything was cooked perfectly. I am always pleased to find un-oaked Chardonnay on the wine menu. The service is top notch and such a pleasant comfortable restaurant. See you next year!

Luis and Ricardo were thoughtful, thorough and there when we needed them. Food was delicious as always. We had out of town guests and they had a great meal. Thank you!

                                                                                                      Our meal was excellent and the service was outstanding. My ratings reflect that The gripe I have is about their use of Open Table and the policy (probably theirs, not Open Table's) that one is charged $20 if one has to cancel less then 24 hours before the reservation. They gladly accept reservations later than that, proving that the restaurant doesn't necessarily lose a paying table if a reservation has to cancel. I would understand a couple hours, but 24 seems a policy as unfriendly as the signs they have in their in their windows about children. Loosen up a bit, if you want to be loved. Not everyone will be a kind in their ratings to a place they don't.
