The food was delicious like always and our waitress delivered great service!
Delicious kale salad with pancetta, pistachios and other yummy stuff. Branzino and Bolognese pasta. Fresh ingredients. The hazelnut dessert was amazing! My husband and I look forward to returning to North and taste more of their menu.
We got the healthiest dish on the menu... the truffle, garlic, cheese bread. We laughed at the people next to us who were eating salad because they thought they were the healthiest, BUT they weren't. We were.
Parking lot was EXTREMELY crowded and full. Had to valet park our two cars for $20 (total for both, including tips). Seating is very cramped. Felt like the couple at the table next to us was listening to our conversations. Service was decent, but drink service was slow due to the restaurant being so crowded.
Closed to where I live, friendly, high ceiling, good food.
Pleasantly surprised. I know this is a chain and I viewed it as a cross between Cheesecake Factory and Maggianos and I was blown away. The salads were fresh, service was on point and a small kids menu. Perfect for a Sunday or weekday bite!
It was great. We will be back soon.
Business dinner. Very good food and service
I was a little disappointed. I had specifically said during the reservation process that it was for a birthday. The waitress who started helping was Madison and she explained another waitress whose name was also Madison would be taking over and she would be sure to let her know of the birthday of my friend. Well, that was not done and there was no birthday acknowledgement of any kind. Not good and a little embarassing.
The table also had not been cleaned appropriately and my blouse got some kind of red sauce all over the front of it. I told our waitress and someone else came over to clean the table and to give me some club soda to clean my blouse. It came out, but only got a pitiful apology.
All in all, the food was good but the rest of the experience was not. The wait staff has to be trained to be a little more attentive
Food is great, simple straight forward Italian goodness! Pasta dishes are my favorite but always ask about the days specials as I have been greatly surprised by them(:
Casual, comfortable atmosphere, excellent food. They split pasta entrees for us so we could try more.
Had a great time while my dad was visiting from Florida. He was impressed and we had a great time!
Food was average. Nothing special.
Great arugula salad, but the "Pig" pizza was too greasy and the crust was tough and overbaked.
Price was not bad but the food was too salty. Wine selection can be better as well.
An amazing dining experience! With all the items being made fresh daily, the menu offers all sorts of options. The staff is experienced, work well as a team and made sure that we were happy with our meal and service. Reservations on the weekend are a must unless you don't mind having a few drinks in the bar while waiting. We are looking forward to returning to try more items off the menu.
Food and service were very good but on the expensive side. We split a Caesar salad and each had an entree (short ribs for me, scallops for her) and I also ordered some of their delicious crispy potatos. We also had one drink each, a vodka (Kettle One) tonic. That came to 123 dollars before tip, about twice what I spent on the two of us for lunch recently. So we’ll probably keep that as a lunch place golfing forward. The VTa weee 12.25 each.
enjoyed the food but the noise level was a little excessive
Service was great, very friendly attentive. Fig and prosciutto pizza is always delicious.
Overall amazing customer service and dinning experience. Very allergy friendly and authentic food
We had our second business lunch at North - Irvine.
They were fantastic.
Each of us enjoyed all items ordered:
Paige was great as our lead wait-person. Will ask for her next time.
Look forward to the next visit.
Never a disappointment! :)
Great food and service
Our go to restaurant for birthday celebrations. I always love how helpful and friendly the entire staff are when we dine here. Extra slice of bruschetta to share, recommendations for salmon on the salad, timely yet unobtrusive service. Perfection!
North Italia is consistently outstanding! Staff and food are always excellent! I love that my pasta Bolognese is served steaming hot! Sangria is great! Everything I have ever eaten here is superb! If North Italia was closer to where I live I would eat here weekly!
We normally love North and eat there often but our experience Wednesday was very disappointing. The service was just ok (although the manager, Morgan was attentive once we sent 2 of our meals back). The chef refused to let my son order the meatball sandwich off of the lunch menu (which he's literally, without a problem, done at least 10 times before), my filet was way under cooked for how I ordered it and my son's pasta was way under cooked. Considering it's an Italian restaurant, I do at least expect the pasta to be perfect. I never send food back but the pasta was inedible. Typically, North is extremely busy but this particular evening wasn't crowded enough to have been the cause of such poorly cooked food. Frustrating to say the least, especially considering the cost.
As usual the food and service was excellent! Tried the salmon entree with the Simple Salad, excellent! Usually stick with the pasta and pizza but glad I ventured out.
We like sitting in the outdoor patio where we can bring our dog. The food, drink and service are always consistent. A great place for upscale casual dining.
The food was amazing and so was the casual ambiance. We will definitely be back.
I took my family there to celebrate a birthday and to enjoy time together. I would recommend North Italia to everyone I know. I will eat there again when I am in OC. I traveled there from Virginia.
We truly enjoyed our dinner here. Food are superb! Everything that we've ordered, pizza, burrata, calamari and pasta were all amazingly very good. We will definitely come back again another day.
Always fabulous. Love everything about this restaurant.
Noisy but good food and good service. We all had salads for lunch which were very fresh and tasty.
This was my second time eating here and it was extremely upsetting. I bought a strawberry shortcake for my Mom's birthday and asked they put it in the fridge. When it came time to bring the cake out, they simply started cutting it. My Mom never saw it & we didn't get to sing Happy Birthday :( I let them know how upset I was and they brought out 2 huge dessert platters on the house to make up for their mistake. I really appreciate how they tried to make it right, but I'm not sure I'll ever eat dine here again...
The food was amazing!
Love the decor and yummy food option. The truffle bread is to DIE for.
Great casual and contemporary Italian restaurant, very nice patio area, very tasty food with very good selections - service may be but slow at times but it is very friendly.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food can use some improvement in presentation and taste. Pasta dishes had too heavy a cream sauce for our tastes. Bread was excellent.
This is the LOUDEST restaurant we’ve been to Ian’s we eat out all the time. We’ve been here a handful of times...couldn’t remember why we didn’t return...know we know. The restaurant is a nice setting, large fun bar area but it was beyond loud everywhere. The server was nice, but the tumblr of everything was SLOW! To top it off the food was very mediocre. We will not be returning.
