Finally dined here after hearing so many good things about it.
Service was excellent, friendly and attentive. It’s a loud restaurant, which wasn’t a problem for our party, but would be hard if you wanted to have a conversation.
Zucca chips. I thought these would be better based on people’s reviews. They were fried very thin zucchini slices that weren’t warm and were pretty forgettable. We actually left some uneaten, which is unusual for my husband and fried food!
Calamari- solid. Rings were crispy and not overly salty. The marinara sauce was tasty, but for some reason a huge portion in a bowl almost the same size as the bowl the calamari came in.
Black mussels. These were fantastic. The portion was very generous. I’d say there were maybe 40. The mussels were plump and fresh and broth was nice with the bits of salami giving it a nice salty quality.
Seasonal vegetable salad. This was very fresh and tasty. The flavors of the roasted vegetables and the sweetness of the dates and all of the textures made for a perfect dish topped off by a delicate vinaigrette.
Sea bass- the fish was fresh, but bordering on dry. The portion was a good size. The accompanying vegetables were perfectly done.
Bolognese pasta. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. The sauce is rich though since it has heavy cream and is a little sweet, so we were happy we were sharing because it grew tiresome.
Short rib radiatori. Wow, the short rib was amazing—so tender and tasty. The pasta, like the other pasta, was perfectly cooked. The sauce was citrus and cream. Not too heavy, but again we were happy to be sharing because it could easily get monotonous.
Bombolini- these little Italian donuts were fluffy and warm and tasty. The Meyer lemon and vanilla mascarpone sauce was out-of-this-world delicious.
Brunch for the first time. Food was good but the service was slow as usual.
It was very crowded, the restaurant could not keep up... we were a party of 6 and our meals came out 2 at a time.... then waited... 2 more..... waited.... 2 more.....
Some of the dishes were wonderfully hot, unfortunately 2 of the meals were Luke warm and the meatball appetizers were warm.....
Then they forget the birthday cake we brought in earlier to surprise the birthday person!!!
The server tried her best, but it was loud and an overwhelming disappointment....
Not sure I would do a special occasion dinner there again...
Enjoyed the food, great service. As you already know very loud.
The restaurant was very busy, and very loud. We had trouble hearing one another, but the service and food made up for everything. Obviously a very popular restaurant.
I was disappointed to hear that The Cheesecake Factory now owns it. They list the calories at the end of the food descriptions which really is a deterrent from ordering most things on the menu. It also did not seem very accurate.
The service was good and the food was fine. Might have been better if I had ordered the 2000 calorie pasta!
Food is pretty good the service was Excellent.
The only issue and was the portion.
I remember a couple of years ago the portions were more "generous".
The 2 men at my table mentioned that they felt their portions were a bit smaller, lol.
That's the only issue really.
Complained about the terrible service and the manager only comped one of our two appetizers despite multiple complaints about the lack of service. I had to get up three times to request water, 2 of our 3 courses and red chili flakes. The waitress never checked on us and didn’t even bring us a pen with our bill.
Overpriced for what you get. Ordered Calamari appetizer and got a plate full of arugula with a few rings of calamari. Pasta was OK but not worth it. Overall it was very disappointing!
Incredible service. Food never disappoints. A little loud but that was because it was busy, not because of added noise.
Pastas were great. Gluten free options were a draw for us. Diver scallops were very good, too. Robby our waiter as friendly, attentive and professional.
I love the food every time I go to North Italia. For New Year’s Eve the menu was a pre-fixed menu and price. At the end when we ordered the dessert we were told the dessert we wanted was sold out. I think if the restaurant has a pre fix menu and you can only eat by making reservations for such event then the restaurant should not run out of food. Not coming here again for New Year’s dinner.
Dining for New Year’s Eve. Limited menu. Several good options but missed my favorites. Expensive for what you get. Not in a hurry to return.
Beautiful New Year's Eve dinner! Incredibly attentive staff, delicious food, happy atmosphere. Thanks!
The food here is good. You always know what to expect in terms of quality. This particular location had the music on super loud which proved difficult for my elderly parents but not enough to be a huge issue. Our wait staff was a little disorganized bringing us other tables orders etc. but they were nice throughout.
Awesome food and nice servers!! Thanks for another great meal.
They did not bring out the garlic bread appetizer but more than made up for it by bringing it out with our dinner and i
on the house👍 the manager, and server were most apologetic . Great service
We have eaten there many times and the food is always good. However, the noise level is very high and the service has gotten much slower. Are they understaffed?
Food was great. Service was great.
Great food very tasty and fresh . Always great Dinning experience every time. We continue to return . Service was great and waiter was very friendly. We will be back .
It’s was great overall
Celebrated our granddaughters 5th birthday at lunchtime and we all had a great time! The food was excellent, good service and equally fun and a pleasing menu for a 5 year old, her dad, a 25 year old uncle and 60 something grandparents!
They sat me and my young daughter at a table that was at the same time nearest the bar and the front door. It was literally the worst seat in the house, with people bumping us the whole time, setting drinks on our table, but we still had a nice time together not because of the place or the food, but because we could laugh about it.
From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for an excellent experience at North Italia at The Point. The hostess was very friendly and although it was very crowded, she made everyone feel welcome. We were seated quickly and our server was right there to take our drink orders. The service was excellent throughout the evening.
Our server recommended their meatballs and I ordered their spaghetti and meatballs, but asked for rigatoni instead on spaghetti. The server was right about the meatballs. They were the best I’ve had. Everything was fresh and delicious. I’d highly recommend North Italia for anyon looking for an upscale Italian restaurant.
First time here. Everything was really good. Will definitely be back.
They are lovely... from the super friendly and welcoming hostesses to the wait staff! Seriously, our guests raves about the food and the service. I too was beyond impressed when I mistakenly had reserved a table for 4 (my usual number) when I actually had six. They were very busy and didn’t make me feel like a dope and got us seated very quickly! Will be returning often!! Thank you sooo much for a wonderful dinner.
Normally I love North Italia. This visit was very disappointing. When we checked in, we were told we had to wait but could wait at the bar. When we tried to check out the bar seating, another host asked us where we were going and if we were meeting someone. It was not a polite tone. I left and decided to spend time elsewhere while we were waiting for our table. When a table was ready, We were placed at a high top table for 8 with only two of us. We asked our server if we could move, and told we could to a low table for 4. Then after we had put in our drink orders, the hostess came by and told us we had to move back to the high top table. At no point when we were swat were we asked if the table was ok. No. It was not. I said it would not be acceptable to go to a high top table, and we would rather get up and wait than be placed at the same oversized table, it was met with shock and derision. Somehow it turned out to be ok for us to eat at the lower table. If we had been asked to get up, we would have just left.
It said in our reservation that we were celebrating a birthday. It was a question to check off. There was no recognition of any special occasion. I had the chicken Parmesan. It was too salty. For the first time In the past 3 years that I have been coming to this location it was deeply disappointing.
This was supposed to be a special birthday dinner. It staff made us feel unwelcome, even intruding on the restaurant's space. Go here for lunch or dinner, but don't expect much much from the staff. And skip the chicken Parmesan unless you are low on your daily sodium intake.
Never disappointed in a meal here. The appetizers and happy hour were great value and taste. Can’t wait to go again.
Local and friendly but noisy
High quality ingredients prepared just right. As usual another wonderful meal.
Our salads, pizza, and Vino, as well the service, were all on point! When we’re back in town, we’ll definitely be stopping by again for dinner!
Good food. Good service. Great dinner company.
great! The food was superb, the location was beautiful in the heart of el sugendo. I would definitely recommend coming to North for any special occasions or dates
Good food, good service, nice ambiance. Everyone was friendly, professional and attentive.
The food was fine, but uniquely slow for us. People arriving after we were seated received their food before we received ours. The lunch took much longer than I had expected, such that I was obliged to leave before I had finished to get back to my office in time for a meeting. Maybe not the best place for lunch if you are time constrained.
Very tasty entrees and very good service from our waiter. Night and day experience from last visit.
Salad was good, but a bit too much dressing, slightly overpowering. A nice early evening dinner out!
Consistently so good. Yummy food and good service. We eat there as a couple, with friends and family and sometimes as a larger group and are never disappointed. Brunch, lunch, dinner are always a treat.
Not the best meal we have had! Pasta was cold. Just not at the level we have had before but staff was accommodating and helpful!
Brunch menu is somewhat limited but can also order from lunch menu. All of the food was good - the grilled artichokes were excellent. Service here always is a bit slow but acceptable.
