A Northern Italian kitchen inspired by the Bacari of Venice.

Our menu is inspired by tradition and dictated by the quality and availability of ingredients. We play off the similarities between the climates of Eastern Ontario and Northeast Italy, and create our take on classic dishes made with seasonal game, seafood and vegetables. Plus, sometimes we’ll just add whatever we want.

Food was fabulous! Really enjoyed the tasting menu + wine flight. Service was excellent. Only criticism was that it was a bit loud. Would have preferred a quieter table.

The service was excellent. We enjoyed the pace of delivery of the tasting plate menu and the wine pairing suggestions. We had expected that the chef’s choice menu would include dishes different than the choices on the set menu, but we thoroughly enjoyed every dish which were well presented and unusually delicious.

Our waiter was particularly good . He explained the menu well and was helpful with wine. And he then checked in on us but just enough. He really contributed to the overall good experience that we had.

Overall dinner - food and service was excellent. Really appreciate that our server went through the entire menu in detail and even pointing out her favorites and recommendations upon hearing that it was my first visit. I chose the restaurant based on the hearing about the food quality and presumed cozy atmosphere. While the food and service was excellent, I was a bit disappointed in the fact that the restaurant was much louder than I was anticipating. I understand the space constraints, however, at least that evening (Sat.), music was also being pumped through the speaker system a bit too loud. The music choice leaned towards more upbeat/energetic further veering away from a cozy intimate dining experience. I would go back for the food and service, perhaps on a weekday.

Wonderful Bacaro party. We were greeting with a choice of sweet or bitter spritzer followed by tasty bites. We ordered a few additional snacks and enjoy our night very much. Thank you to the attentive service and accommodations for our dairy free needs. We will be back!
