Nora's has become our casual go-to place for a quick and delicious dinner. We love the trio appetizer and all the various kabob combos. We have been there 8-10 times in the last year, and every time is great. The food is really good, you can watch it being prepared in the open kitchen, and there is a lot of it.

Highly recommended!

No surprise that the kabobs were superb at Nora's Kabob but the surprise of the night was the grilled octopus. The octopus made a believer of my friend who would have no part of it at first. I ordered it as an appetizer anyway. It is a large portion, an entrée for most people. My friend had a small taste whereupon I lost half my serving to her. It's the best I ever had and would have paid twice the price at Ouzo Bay in Baltimore - no slouch of a restaurant. My suggestion for those who don't care for the taste of cucumber is to tell the server in advance because it normally comes with a lot of diced cucumber on top. I detest cucumber!
The Kabobs feature tender meats. I would have liked some sauce for the very Basamati dry rice, perhaps something like soy, although that would be a bit out of place.
I am wary of shopping center restaurants but Nora's is an exception and we will be back.

Great food, good service, quiet. What more can you ask? Others must think so too because almost all the tables were full.

We enjoyed a casual Sunday evening dinner. Looking around at some of the other tables, we saw that portions were very generous so the two of us decided to split a salad and a chicken and beef kabob platter. My husband had soup. Even so, we took food home! The chicken and beef were delicious. We had an absolutely wonderful chopped kale, carrot, and broccoli salad with dried cherries and a lemon vinaigrette. They should consider putting it on the regular menu. Service was prompt and pleasant.

Not many tables so I’d make a reservation. Excellent food and great service. It was so nice to have so many gluten free options. They just need a few gluten free desserts.

We visited Nora's Cafe for the first time on Friday evening and we will definitely be back. The restaurant is small but not crowded. Our waitress was friendly and attentive and extremely helpful. Our dinners were delicious!

We love Nora's. It has become our go-to place in the neighborhood. Normally the food is outstanding. Tonight things were a bit over cooked and drier than usual. I'm sure it was just an off night in the middle of the week.

Although in a strip mall this restaurant is light and pleasant inside. Feels very clean and has reasonable ambiance. Service was friendly and efficient. We had chicken kebabs and falafel wrap. Both were well presented and delicious. There is a good selection of desserts. The chocolate creme brulee was very good. It has an interesting selection of beers, did not check out the wine much. Looking forward to going back.

The food was really delicious. We enjoyed the smoky eggplant dip and the kabobs. I would say that the server was a bit distracted with what could have been family or close friends. He spent a lot of time another table, and we had to wave him down for water or to take our order. No biggie.

This is a great find! Probably the best kabobs we've had in many years, with attentive service and a very reasonable check at the end. We plan on making this a regular haunt. Thank you for the great evening!

On Friday evening, despite showing up on time, there was no reserved table. After 10 minutes and no seating, when I spoke to the hostess to inquire about when my party of three would be seated, I was told "they couldn't say--the restaurant business is unpredictable." We will not return.

We first went to Nora's a couple times last year, and decided to go back during Howard County's Restaurant Week. While the menu was limited (though you *could* order off the full menu), the choices were varied (lamb, seafood, steak & chicken), and the food was excellent. Portions are reasonable. (I had no leftovers, but my wife did.) The service was also great. There is not a lot of seating, so I would recommend reservations, especially for special events. All in all, you may not notice this place unless you're looking for it, but it's definitely worth looking for.

Nice small comfortable neighborhood place. Not fancy, really good fresh well prepared food. Had some of the best salmon I've ever had. The veggie kabob, was wonderful. Service was quick and friendly. It gets busy and a little noisy, but still very pleasant. We've been taking out since they opened and this was the first sit down diviner there . Definitely will come again.

I love the relaxed feel of this place even though it was small like a pizza shop. I am definitely coming back to try more items and we will also be using their take out service. The traditional gyro was great. We started with calamari and the 3 types of dips which went over like a big hit. Service was good and friendly, the red wine I had was affordable."

If looking for great Middle Eastern cuisine, look no further than Nora Kabob. Although small in size, the restaurant is big on taste and service. The humus and falafel were fantastic, the combination kabob was enough for the two of us after the appetizers.

Nora Kabob isn't a traditional restaurant. There is a takeout counter with a few tables in front. The food was delicious. However, the service wasn't the best as it really isn't a sit down restaurant. What was most irritating was that the staff was completely unaware that OpenTable existed. I had to wait several weeks to get my OpenTable points.

This is a small restaurant with just a few tables and seems to do mostly takeout. I was impressed by the waiters attention to us and eagerness to help. As the name implies it is a kebob place and has the standard fare. The meat quality was excellent. The place was very clean and the service fast.

I rated it quiet high because it was much better than I would expect from a kebob place in a strip mall.

The food was good. We love the chicken and salmon knobs the best. The salad is amazing and this time we tried the falafel, love them too. This was the first time we took our adult children to the restaurant. They enjoyed their meal and said they would come back. We will return.

I took the family to Nora Kabob because we wanted something reasonable that wasn't fast food and wasn't going to be a big ordeal. The service was excellent and very accommodating. The server even suggested just getting a side of shrimp for our 6 yo instead of the full entre. That was perfect. The hummus and other Mediterranean appetizers were very good. The gyros and kabobs hit the spot for us!

My wife and I dined there on Valentines Day. We have been there before, and have had very good meals off the menu. The food is good, and a great value. For Valentines Day they had a special menu with 4 courses and 3-4 choices for each course, for a fixed price. My wife had the chicken, I had the lamb, both very good. Service was excellent--my wife is gluten free, and they accomidated her very nicely. As with the regular menu, this place is a bargin for a sit down, good quality meal. We will be back.

We're from Silver Spring and were meeting a friend from Baltimore, normal midpoint Ellicott City. It had just snowed the day before so I was concerned about parking, so I went online through Open Table and searched nearby. Nora Kabob sounded decent, had good reviews, and was in a shopping area so hopefully plenty of parking. We gave it a try.
It also happened to be Valentines Day weekend. They did not have their normal menu but had a nice selection of 3 course dinners for $30. We were very pleasantly surprised by our dining experience. The service was great, the wine selection was good and the food was excellent. The seating looked a little tight from outside, but it was fine.
We will be going back again to try their regular menu.

This was our first visit to Nora Kabob, and we liked the menu choices and portion sizes are generous. The restaurant is small, with a counter in the back of the restaurant, and you can tell alot of effort and thought went into the decor which is lovely. The service was gracious and efficient. We were glad they had a nice selection of wines by the glass. A lot of times you're not that lucky with small ethnic restaurants. The only off note was that the salmon kabob was seriously overdone.
