Noah Grant's Grill House and Oyster Bar Ratings and Reviews
First time at Noah Grant's. For the dead of January I was surprised that the place was absolutely packed. I had a reservation at 8:15, but we didn't get seated until 8:45, which was a little disappointing. Overall, the food was excellent, generous portions, fairly priced for the quality and overall a very good meal.
I appreciated the fact that they recognized the late seating despite the reservation and comped a shared dessert for the table.
Overall, nice ambiance, good meal and I will go back but I would recommend either going early or late if possible to avoid the 6-8 pm crush. If you don't have a reservation and they suggest getting a seat in the bar - be skeptical. The bar was packed was standing room only and tight.
I made this reservation for a birthday dinner. I was seated over 20 minutes late to my table. In my view this is unacceptable without some offer from the manager as compensation (drinks, dessert, etc.).
The food is above average and the wait staff adequate. However, I will not be back to this establishment based on how my reservation was handled.
Beautiful...newly remodeled and very pleasing to the eye! The food was all fresh, hot and wonderfully presented. The staff was friendly and attentive. We will be going back and bringing more family with us. Could've been because we were there on a busy Saturday night but it was very loud. Perhaps it was the tall ceilings, not sure. I'm guessing other nights, wouldn't be an issue.
We arrived early about 5 PM, and NG's was packed by 6...not bad for a Sunday! A usual, everything was wonderful! Half-priced oysters and bottles of wine were added bonuses on this Sunday evening. We started with a dozen Wellfleet oysters (not always available at NG's) which seemed as tasty/fresh as those served at the Beachcomber or at Finely JP's in that Cape Cod town...over the years we've vacationed near Wellfleet at least a dozen times and had local oysters at both joints. The Kickin Shrimp appetizer was a nice spicy contrast to the oysters. The Grouper entree and Blackened Shrimp salad were both very good for dinner. Highly recommend the Tikal Patriota wine from Argentina. No room for dessert this time, but another great trip to NG's on the Brick Street!
Beautifully presented and tasteful seafood in a mid-west location. It's hard to find great seafood in a "land-locked" location but we did. We had several appetizers & the fish special of the night - the Conch and Shrimp Ceviche had a fantastic flavour (if you don't like Cilantro - don't get this) & the Frutti Di Mare was divine again with a wonderful cream sauce with the cilantro and coconut flavours. The fish special that night was grilled Halibut - which again was nicely done (not overcooked) and the sauce happened to be very similar to the Frutti Di Mare (if not exactly the same) served with potatoes. We tried the green beans side made with bacon (who doesn't love bacon) and they hit the spot! Our server was friendly and attentive and provided great recommendations. This is my second time here (I'd been at the previous location prior to their move) and I would highly recommend it.
Very nice restaurant. It is a little bit noisy, but that really didn't bother us. The service was very good and the food outstanding. WE both had fresh grouper and it was delicious. We ordered too many sides - they were big enough to share. A little pricey but don't mind for a special occasion. Definitely will return.
Had to send filet back 3 times. Not properly cooked. Sides did not come out with entrees—5 minutes later. Waiter disappeared. Manager Kept appoligizing but never fixes problem. Restaurant way way too noisy. Could not hear across the table. Will never go back. Was celebrating birthday—total Disaster.
new location, while nicely done, is missing the character & ambiance of the original location.
Table spaces are small, we felt cramped (6 persons) & little room for the many appetizers ordered. Overall food quality remained very good, but service attentiveness came up short.
This is one of my favorite restaurants, and I had a birthday entree certificate, so it’s how we celebrated my birthday. It was the first time I had been in the new facility. It is beautiful. The other site had ambiance, and so does this one. It also is so classy! One big improvement, in my opinion, is that the noise level is much better. My only complaint previously was that it was sometimes difficult to carry on a conversation. I had intended to order seared tuna—one of the few places I trust to properly prepare it. But at the last minute I decided on the crab cakes...no regrets!!! I love the house salad. Most house salads are rather mundane and predictable. Not this one. It’s more like a special salad. And the green beans with goat cheese and walnuts are outstanding. Dessert is always such a difficult decision for me between bread pudding and butter cake. This time bread pudding won and it was served with a birthday candle! It was another wonderful evening at Noah Grant’s.
We celebrated our anniversary early evening and had a wonderful experience. I tried the crab wonton, which is house made with blue crab seasoned with cream cheese, garlic and sweet chili. Delicious, great appetizer. For the main dish tried sushi for the first time. I had main lobster roll with sweet crab and a salad. This was mouth watering, very tasty. For dessert, tried the signature butter cake topped with house made whipped cream and berries, to die for ! We had a delightful evening and will be back.
Seafood was wonderful, but they completely messed up the steak by overcooking the outside then serving it room temperature. The baked potato was burned and the seasoning was underwhelming. For the price of a meal, the food should be excellent. The dinner fell short in every aspect.
This was our first trip - and won't be our last - for a midweek dinner -date after reading complements from other diners. I had heard about it from a friend and then it was mentioned as a favorite in a local article in the Star. Being from the Boston area, and growing up on lobster, clams and all kinds of seafood, this place is like heaven for me. The service was very good, and the food was excellent; the presentations were also inviting. We loved the Key Lime Pie in a jar. Tart and tasty!
