No Coast Sushi
Our restaurant is urban modern with an active up-beat vibe.
We at No Coast Sushi value our resources and environment by purchasing our fish from purveyors who pledge to only fish in-season, in-stream, without nets. We also purchase some fish, such as Salmon, from sustainable ranches in New Zealand. We fly fish in three days a week from our main fish purveyors: Honolulu Fish Co. (Hawaii) and Seattle Fish Co. (Washington).
In our kitchen we use hormone, antibiotic free meats for our cooked dishes. We also purchase locally grown produce when in season and continue to pledge to buy more each year and create more Vegan/Vegetarian options. Our chefs and bartenders make 99% all of our items in-house, including our sauces and drink mixes.
We care about our food, it"s quality, presentation and your enjoyment.
Please join us and experience what Modern Japanese can be.

Cool decor. Good service. Good service, considering the land-locked nature of our location.
Only critique I have is why do half the rolls have cream cheese? Gross.
It was our 10th Anniversary and even though our drinks were comped our waiter never once asked us how our meal was or asked if we wanted anything else to drink. We weren’t even offered a refill on our water. Boo! The noise level was terrible and I thought our table placement sucked. I don’t think I’ll ever be back!
The sushi was good but not great. A little disappointed in quality and in presentation. Felt it was a little overpriced for what we got. Not sure if we would go back.
Love No Coast! Staff alwys friendly and helpful, food is delicious. The seasonal soft shell crab with peach is fantastic!!
We had pretty good sushi at No Coast. What made the experience a good one was a waiter. He was phenomenal.
It was our 37th anniversary. Did a “blind” booking based on TA and OT feedback and we were very pleased. The secret crab cream cheese jalapeño “poppers” were awesome. 😉
No Coast Sushi was excellent! I went with a friend who was not familiar with this type of cuisine. She was very impressed and I am certain she will return, as will I.
The staff at No Coast is exceptional. It was not our first time dining in but it was our first time trying sushi. Michael put together some custom plates for us to try after talking with us about what we like and what we were interested in tasting. Our waiter, Trey, was very timely and friendly. Will be back.
Great birthday dinner as always
Everything was great as usual.
We go here often, and always have an excellent meal. The sushi chefs are very creative, and the wait staff attentive w/o being obnoxious. Highly recommended.
We took my son there for his birthday. It’s a favorite sushi restaurant of ours. The meal was fabulous.
As always, our dinner at No Coast was wonderful. We had a quiet table right next to the fish tank.
First, I don't usually do reviews.
If you want absolutely flawless Sushi, go to Sukiyabashi Jiro in Japan. The idea here is that they serve exceptionally good food with absolutely stellar service. Is the Nigiri perfect? No, but it tastes perfect. The folks here work very hard to make the experience worth your time and money. I don't need slathered with attention but I do like good service and No Coast has that in spades.
Give the place a try. I've taken my family here several times and the quality of the food and the way we are treated keeps us coming back.
Awesome as always
Absolutely awesome as always!! Our favorite place by far!!!
Excellent sushi, friendly attentive staff. They are very busy. Make a reservation, you can do it online.
Beautiful decor, excellent service but the sushi was so, so. Flavors didn't pop like I expect out of really good sushi. Presentation was sad. Probably won't return.
Outstanding as usual. Top notch Service
Sweet 16 Birthday!!
Wonderful night. Our birthday girl even got a drink comped. Very nice. Thank you.
Great service. Thanks Michael. Great food. Thanks Josh. Great company. Thanks Bret and Steph.
Outstanding as usual
The atmosphere wass very pleasant, the service was very good, as usual, the menu offered a broad selection, and the food was once again delicious with a beautiful presentation.
We had an amazing dinner & drinks with our friends! We had a large, needy group & Kianna was spot on with service!
Overall the food was good. Priced a bit high for the quality. The service was great and was an enjoyable dinner.
We dine here often. We enjoy the food, but sushi options are limited in GJ, so it’s not like we can go elsewhere for better quality. The service is always hit and miss - you either have a server who is 100% on the ball, or one who is totally oblivious. I have no problem with the prices for the food, but if you factor in the service, it makes the price seems a bit high. If I’m going to drop more than $100 for a meal then you better not ever let my drink run low, and I shouldn’t be waiting extended periods for my next course. Service makes or brakes your experience and I think No Coast could improve here.
Great evening every time we go
Amazing sushi and even better service. We will definitely be back.
Always good , everything here is good . One of our favorite restaurants in grand junction
we went with our daughter and her husband and our 2 grand-kids. when they come to visit (they live out-of-state) they like to go to NoCoast. surprisingly, the grandkids (5 & 7) behaved and were not their usual finicky ("I don't like this") selves, but ate quite a bit. the only disappointment for me was the so-called "clam chowder" which was more like potato chowder.
Great food and excellent service! Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive. The selection was outstanding, definitely something for everyone. Plenty of parking and prompt service. Friendly staff.
Thank you for your review. We appreciate that you added categories too! We are so glad you had a great experience here.
The noise level is atrocious. The sushi is over priced considering they don’t have the spread larger sushi establishments have. But it’s the best sushi in our sad one horse town
Thank you for our review and letting us know your concerns. As we fly in fresh fish this does increase our costs. If you have an interest in different fish, please let our chefs know as we order 3 days a week from Honolulu Fish Company. Many of our guests come in at 5pm or on weekdays to enjoy a more mellow environment and ask for our side room. Weekends are our most rambunctious nights as many people come in with larger groups.
Awesome food and great people!
We always look forward to our dinner experience when we come back.
Great food and service. Fish is flown in several times per week and is very fresh and high quality. Great restaurant.
Always a great experience. Service and food above expectations
The sushi rolls are small in size and had very little taste. The spicy tuna roll was the most bland tasting sushi I have ever tasted.
