We made a reservation through open table at 3:30 and when we arrived at 3:45 were told the restaurant didn't actually open until 4. They acted less than gracious about us being there before it opened even when we told them we had a 3:30 reservation. When I made the reservation I said we were celebrating an anniversary but they didn't even look up the reservation because the restaurant was empty. So, they didn't know we were celebrating and we weren't treated as such. The booth we were in was incredibly sticky. Since, they hadn't been open for dinner since the day before I concluded that they never wiped down the seats. The food was very good. However, during dessert they only brought two of the three sauces and said they were out of one. However, since we were the first dinner guests clearly they didn't run out that day, they just didn't have it. Also, I picked my drink because it was supposed to come with a candy gummy but it didn't. It also didn't taste very good. When we got the check they had to bring the whole IPad register over to us because their wifi didn't work. The waiter said they were using a nearby restaurant's wifi. I wouldn't recommend Nixs for a special occasion, but I would recommend for an average date night. Everyone there seemed a little unprepared even after it was officially open for business. When we left at 5:30 there were only three other tables full, which seemed surprising for a Saturday night. Knowing that one of their other locations has closed makes me wonder if they are struggling here as well. It's a shame because the restaurant's decor has a really cool vibe. Overall, I'd say I'm just a little disappointed in my choice of choosing to celebrate our anniversary at Nixs.
