   What a lovely time we had, introduced our friends who were staying at the Royal Lancaster to Nipa Thai! The service was much appreciated and the food was delicious too! We absolutely enjoyed the Thai white wine, what a discovery! Couldn't believe we had spent three hours eating and enjoying our time together! Thank you to the attentive and knowledgeable staff.

   Return visit to Nipa Thai – just as impressive. This was our second time dining at Nipa Thai, and once again it delivered on every front. The restaurant is tucked away on the first floor of the Royal Lancaster London Hotel. You enter through the elegant marble foyer, head up the stairs, and turn right – a calm and luxurious setting from the start. This time we visited with friends and were warmly welcomed by the manager before being shown to a window table overlooking Hyde Park. We had a 5:30pm booking, and the atmosphere was relaxed and quiet when we arrived. The menu is broad but not overwhelming. I had the same dishes as before – chicken and coconut soup, chicken stir-fry, and mango sorbet – and they were just as exceptional the second time around. A real highlight came when our friend asked if the kitchen could prepare his favourite Thai dish, even though it wasn’t on the menu. Without hesitation, they made it specially for him – a thoughtful touch that really impressed us all. Service remained attentive but discreet, and the whole evening had the polished, relaxed feel you’d expect from one of London’s top hotels. Once again, excellent food and excellent staff. We’ll definitely be back – and I’d still recommend you book a table too.

   Coming from America where Thai is common as well commonly bland, but and therefore widely accepted, we ordered items we were familiar with in order to test our expectations. We were made delighted by how our expectations were overturned. Pad Thai and the green chicken curry were beautiful to look at and their ingredients harmonized rather than muddied together. Service and the feeling of the dining room were open and relaxed while still focused and formal — a feat to pull off. Easy to decide to dine here again.

   First visit to Nipa Thai – and it won’t be the last. The restaurant is tucked away on the first floor of the Royal Lancaster London Hotel. You enter through the elegant marble foyer, head up the stairs, and turn right. It sets the tone beautifully. We were greeted warmly by the manager and shown to a window table overlooking Hyde Park. Our 18:30 reservation meant the restaurant was still quiet, with only one other table occupied, a perfect start. The menu is broad but not overwhelming. I chose the chicken and coconut soup, chicken stir-fry, and mango sorbet for dessert. Every dish was exceptional, the best Thai food I’ve had anywhere. Service was attentive without being intrusive. The team clearly know what they’re doing and let the food speak for itself. The whole experience reflects the setting, refined, calm, and just the right side of luxurious. Excellent food, excellent staff. I’ll definitely be back, and would highly recommend you book a table too.

   Nipa Thai is unquestionably the best Thai restaurant this side on Bangkok imho… it ticks all the boxes from the amazing chef Sanguan and her team to front of house Kaseam who quietly manages his team of professionals- and the new carpet is a joy to walk over 😄

    It is absolutely a hidden gem for Thai food in London. Not many people know it serves lunch on Saturdays. I ordered the lunch menu for two at the price of £30. The portion is all right. We enjoy four dishes: prawn dumplings, steamed seabass fillet, prawns in chill and basil and stir-fried mixed vegetables, plus jasmine rice. I think it serves as a value-for-money tasting menu. The service was excellent; it is definitely a five-star hotel standard. The waiter handed in the plates with a tea towel, not even directly touching the plate. The environment was also flawless. Everything was so clean and clear. The carpet was very soft and comfy.
