It's Valentine's Day, easily the worst day of the year to be in food service. When we arrived our poor server was splitting her time waiting tables, bussing tables, setting tables, and running the host stand. When we say the service was bad, the food was slow, and the kids seated next to us were going out of their minds from boredom; it's not because of the staff who were clearly working hard to make the best of a tough situation. But, if I'm honest, I wouldn't recommend eating here, especially if you plan to make a destination of it.
DO NOT DEPEND ON THE MENU ONLINE!!! We arrived and had to call the restaurant to send a hostess as we stood at the host podium watching waitresses walk back and forth from the kitchen. The menu we were given looked nothing like it did online and when we asked the waitress laughed and just said that they have not had that menu in a long time. No apology.... Never again.
We had a reservation and did not get seated for twenty minutes later, because there wasn’t even a hostess at the stand. Finally got seated and literally never had anyone come to the table for 20 more minutes. We had to stop a worker walking by and ask for a server to get us drinks. Food was ok, nothing special. Never got refills. Will not go back.
I made a reservation for my lunch group of 3, walked over only to be told at the time of arriving, that it was cash only and that they were only serving the buffet. highly upset, the young lady that confirmed my reservation when I called, could have given this information.
I've had many good experiences with this restaurant over the years...this wasn't one of them.

Booked the Valentines Package. The manager, Jamie, and our server Stacey were awesome!! Took the time to talk a little and really made us feel special. Table was decorated for Valentine’s Day and was great. Jamie and Stacey are awesome! We will definitely return regularly for the great food and especially to see our new friends.
The posted menu is not accurate. For breakfast, there is only an expensive continental breakfast...very disappointing!
Fast meal and we were on a time crunch and very hungry
Apparently because of other commitments, they were offering a dinner buffet which featured chicken piccata and roast beef. I got two pieces of the chicken, one of which tasted rancid. In addition, the sauce was tasteless, and the succotash was pretty unappealing. I also ordered the crème brûlée, which is supposed to be a custard beneath a sugar crust. The crust was okay, but the custard was juicy and pretty unappealing
Best restaurant on the west side. I eat here often. Midweek lunch buffet always perfect for entertaining clients. Dinner menu very good. Great menu and food. Comfortable place and easy to have conversations at table. Love this place!
We got to the restaurant for our reservation and found that it was closed. We had to find someone to talk to and finally was told they would seat us and the menu would be the same. When they sat us down they gave us menus for the pub grub and didn’t come back for 10 minutes. We got up and left. We will never be going back again there! If the restaurant is closed you should not accept the reservation!

We came in and meet people from out of town, my husband had a few drinks in our hotel room and then we order a round of beers at the table and then he was given a dirty fork so he went to the bar and asked for a clean one and the bartender was quite ride and cut him off from drinking, not even given time to drink his first beer. We also spent 100$. Never will i go again.
Open table allowed a dining time past the closure of the actual restaurant and only pub area was open. While the menu offerings were the same the ambiance was clearly not. Staff seem distressed an decor was old and dated
We had a reservation at 7pm. When we arrived at 7 we were told to wait 10 minutes, but a very unfriendly host. 30 minutes later, we finally were seated without menus. After a 15 minute wait on the server to come to our table for the first time, we finally had menus at 7:45. We ordered and our $40 was way overcooked (well done, and we ordered it as medium). The sides were ice cold (mashed potatoes and broccoli). We sent it back and it took roughly 25 minutes to get our food the second time. We asked for a box and left without eating our entire meal, because we just had to leave. Our reservation was at 7, and we didn't leave until after 9 without eating.; This was a terrible experience and we will never be back to this restaurant.
Restaurant had a special menu but failed to Offer ordering off the menu unless you asked. The wait staff was a little short for the occasion and service suffered. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was tastefully done.
Food was excellent and service was ok. Those working tied but they were tasked with covering more than humanly possible given the limited number of wait staff present. Staffed properly and this could be a really good option for those wanting to get a meal onsite or as a destination for locals trying to avoid the city bustle and parking charges.
We were there for dinner, even though it wasn't too busy, they were under staffed causing poor service. Food was average at best.
The food and service at Nicolino's was outstanding. We made a dinner reservation for 4:30. The website said that dinner began at 4:00. We expect dinner to be in a dining room at a restaurant of this caliber. When we arrived the bartender told us that the dining room didn't open until 5:00. We sat in the bar and it was very noisy. As I stated, the food and service was fine, but we were disappointed to not be in a quiet dining room. The Wyndham needs to correct their website and modify Opentable so that dinner reservations are not offered that cannot be accommodated in a dining room.
don't be in a hurry. took over an hour to get our food and we were one of , only 3 tables. we were late to our meeting and had to practically beg for our check to leave.
Several of the elements of each dish were great, but at the same time the remainder were very bad. It bills itself as an Italian restaurant, and has many pictures about the life and history of its founder but only two dishes were even close to being Italian. For instance the goat cheese 'fondue' had great flavor but was so runny it was like a thin cream sauce, unlike any fondue we had ever seen before. Their bread is GREAT, both as an general accompaniment, and as crostini for the 'fondue'. Both the salmon and bass filets were done exceptionally well but the accompanying vegetables were so bold as to totally overpower them.
Looks like they covered up the old with a fresh coat of paint and hoped for the best. Food was great. Restaurant was completely empty. Service was pretty good.

I ordered by Chicken Vodka that came with asparagus and angel hair pasta. It was FABULOUS...so good I would order it again! There was plenty of food. The others in our party got the buffet dinner, and loved it, too.
Yes I had a great dinner, but the wine and dessert were oustanding. I would come back for wine and dessert at least.

Our first time there, just across from our own hotel... what a find! Absolutely delicious food... watch out for the Chicken Parm - it's huge!! One to share with your date - would probably be best ;)
i had a dinner interview at Nicolino's as the recruiter had flown in and was staying across the street at a hotel without a restaurant. So, while I reside in Carmel I saw that Nicolino's was close to her hotel, so i decided to give it a try. To say we were both pleasantly surprised is an understatement. My Artic Char was absolutely delicious, and a welcome relief from the typical burger, pizza or chicken caeser salad that are the main stays of most hotel restaurants that are close to the Indianapolis airport.
This was a great experience for my husband and I. We wanted to get away from the busy and hectic lifestyle we both carry. And this was a perfect choice. Atmosphere was quiet and the food was great.
We were staying there for an oratorical contest and just didn't want to deal with having to leave the hotel for ANYthing all weekend. So this place was good for dinner and also for breakfast. Reasonable variety and fairly well prepared. The pasta and salad bar on Sunday was EXCELLENT.
On the internet it made it appear that it was a traditional Italian Reataurant. Seeing how it is part of a hotel the menu was all over the place. The breaking point was the bruschetta. It was basically sliced bread with tomatoes on the side.
Don't get me wrong it wasn't all bad but just not what we thought.
Unexpected gem on the south-west side of Indianapolis. Second time to dine at the Wyndham hotel (Last time is was called the the Marker Restaurant & Lounge). Nicolino's proves to be a great dinning experience. Both entrees were tender, even the Chicken Marsala was delightful. Thanks for a great romantic evening.
I have eaten at the hotel twice when attending conferences and everything was great, but when dining in the restaurant at night, I was sorely disappointed.
Our server was inebriated and walked past us (within 2 feet!) all night without checking to see if we needed anything.
Our food took an incredibly long time to come out, but I noticed that the other tables were getting their food at the same time, I think they were missing a cook for a while.
One bright spot was that the appetizers were excellent.
But when you have to wait 30+ minutes for a refill of water, multiple times, good appetizers can't overcome that.
We dined on a Monday,that may have had something to do with the very poor service. It seemed they utilized the hotel housekeeping staff for the night. Neither the hostess nor server had any clue about the drinks or dinner menu or how to serve a table. I had to get up and walk to the bar to see what beer was on tap. I think they only had one wine list that was shared by the entire restaurant. I ordered one of the 'Chef Specials', it was very bland and looked like something you would get from a Stouffers frozen dinner. My wife ordered the Chicken Parmesan. it was OK. When they brought out the meals I was missing my vegetable, it was brought out about 15 mins later. The atmosphere was very nice. It was a shame the food and service was to poor.
I usually don't eat in hotels but I was in the middle of nowhere and didn't want to drive into de city so I try this hotel restaurant and I pay de price with a below average experience.
Mediocre, standardized, homogenized food.
The service started off terrible. The hostess was rude. She sat us in the middle of the room when there were only 5 or 6 table in the room. I asked to move and she said no. The server took 8 minutes even acknowledge us. The food was bland. We ordered a cheesy bread, there was a bowl of blah marinara sauce and some cheese sprinkled and melted across the bread sticks.
My dates dinner was your typical spaghetti and meatballs, no spices or zing to set it apart from ragu. My dinner was the mushroom risotto. I was practically attacked with garlic and it was severely missing the mushrooms that were promised.
All in all. I will not be back. I was not impressed all the way across the board. It was bland, boring, and very unimaginative.
