Service and food was outstanding! Alex was our server and he was warm, friendly, and made excellent recommendations. Everything we had was absolutely delicious! Thank you for such a great first meal in Boston!!
We had reservations for 8:30 pm and waited for 45 minutes after the time. They just kept telling us soon, but they really had no idea when we would be seated. We traveled 3 hours to celebrate our anniversary at Nico's and unfortunately, it never happened.
Excellent service and the food was delicious. Our server was very knowledgeable and provided great recommendations on both wine and food. It was a bit cramped but they had a few large parties they were doing their best to accommodate in a small space.
Absolutely amazing food, great service, great wine. They let me make a reservation for NINE on a Saturday night. That’s amazing in the North End. 10/10 will be back.
Great service, pasta dishes were all a hit! Best scallops I have tasted!
Good food and atmosphere for a small Italian restaurant in Boston's North End. Nico was overbooked a d we had to wait about 35 minutes for a table. Wine selection at the bar was good.
Loved everything about it. Except for the fire station across the street that interrupted dinner 3 times. Besides that food was exceptional.
Long wait even with a reservation, once seated excellent experience both food and service.
Wonderful time at Nico's! Food and wine were superb. Alessandro was the best waiter! We will return and highly recommend.
Good food, good wine list and great service. Luciano was or waiter and was great for recommending some good options. I will be glad to return to Boston and dine at Nicos again.
One of the North Ends best. Recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal.
Fantastic authentic Italian food and servers. Basement was a little noisy and cramped.
Great ambience and good menu options reasonable price. Didn’t care for the red sauce, too acidic.
Good authentic Italian. For the price paid, I feel that more could have been done for atmosphere and accommodations. Service and food were great but for the special occasion my wife and I were there for, more attention could have been given with seating in a more private and quieter area. Also, for the price paid, everything should have been excellent. I feel that we could have had better value at one of the larger Italian restaurants in the same area.
Overall, the food was excellent. Two of us got the Cioppino special. The variety of seafood was wonderful and it was cooked perfectly. The downside was that we ordered it with the spicy sauce and there was no spice. It was actually bland. We told the waiter and he brought us a jar of red peppers. Another in our party had the saltimbocca and thought it was amazing. There was a good wine selection. The restaurant is small and the tables are very close together. It was very noisy, mainly because there was a large table of about 12. The noise level was significantly lower once they left.
Nico was an amazing find! My husband and I took our four children to Boston over a long weekend and happened upon this place on our second night. It was perfect. We ordered family style for the family and there was more than enough food. All the food was absolutely delicious. The wait staff was also exceptional and very kind. They remarked how well behaved our children were and brought them a sweet treat for their exceptional behavior. We’d go back in a heartbeat.
Very romantic and nice place, food is great and fresh , I will be back for sure!
Great place for my wife’s birthday and a group of eight. The servers were warm, welcoming, friendly and funny! I recommend Nico to all!
Food and service were definitely outstanding. Tables were a little too close together, but other than that the entire experience was first class.
Awesome as always. Great food. Great wine. Great service.
The meals were fantastic .Everyday spaghetti and giant meatball was delicious. Seafood special was impressive.
The meal is always AMAZING!! We love Achim- he takes great care of us.
The big disappointment in this restaurant is that we had an 8 PM reservation and we were not seated until 8:35. This just does not work for us. The food was good but I would not go back.
Ladies night out for a friend's birthday. Excellent choice. Staff was very attentive ,and there were 6 of us chatty girls! Our friend was totally pleased with our choice! Excellent food and cocktails...
Great food, large portions, excellent service. My mushroom ravioli was delicious, the seafood portions were huge. Our waiter was fantastic and attentive and made good recommendations.
The service was wonderful and the food delicious. We felt attended to during our meal and the staff was kind and charismatic. Truly felt like we were in Italy for a few hours having a devious meal made with care and attention to our entire experience.
Vibrant and genuine Italian restaurant in the North End of Boston. Efficient service and delicious food in a no-fuss atmosphere. A real find.
Fabulous dinner with great wait staff. Arancini was fantastic.
We were looking for a different place in the North End and decided on NICO after reading the reviews. What a find!! Not only was the food delicious, but the service was wonderful, and prices reasonable. We had a chocolate hazelnut mousse for dessert that was to die for :-) Will definitely go back again...and again.
Great food, quaint atmosphere
Friendly, fast service! Nice relaxed atmosphere! Pasta was homemade!
Great food and service!!!! Love the neighborhood feel!
I love Nico, it is by far the best Italian restaurant in the entire city of Boston. The combination of quality, serving size, price, and service make it unmatched in the North End.
Great! Would definitely go back!! Service was excellent and the food was delicious..especially the meatball..
The veal masala was wonderful; service was excellent, noise level -oye! Prohibits conversation while eating. Meal, however, was excellent.
We had macaroni and meatballs and it was fabulous! Best meatballs ever. Looking forward to going back and having it again. Fabulous sauce!
We were in town moving our daughter in to college and looking for a place to relax over a great meal. Boy, did we find it! The space is small and intimate, which we enjoy, however if there is a loud group their conversation will dominate the room.
The service was exceptional. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and personable and the support staff was attentive. Our water glasses were never empty.
As for the food, it was everything we were hoping for. We started with the shrimp bruschetta, which was zesty and flavorful. Large cloves of roasted garlic married well with the citrus of the lemon and shrimp. Our son had the chicken alfredo and we shared the sausage rigatoni. Both sauces were well balanced and the portions were generous.
We will definitely dine here again on our next (and possibly every) visit!
Excellent food, but sweltering inside. Service seems a bit disingenuous- but attentive.
We met friends for dinner at Nico early on a Monday night and were delighted to find many delicious entrees on the menu in a reasonable price range. The cozy, quiet atmosphere was just what we needed and our waiter, Luciano, provided both superb service and whimsical humor that was much appreciated. My Vitelli Saltimboca was wonderful, as was the Raviolo ai Funghi Porcini my friend ordered. Nico is a great choice for an evening in the North End and we look forward to returning!
Food was amazing, Hakim took great care of us! We would definitely come back again!
