We had lunch at Nick’s Laguna Beach on July 23 and were seated promptly on the balcony, which offered a lovely setting. Drinks and appetizers were served quickly and were enjoyable. However, the service felt inconsistent— after taking our lunch order, there was a long wait, and the food arrived somewhat cold. I ordered the fish burger, and while the flavors were good, the presentation made it difficult to eat. The fish cut was very thick, and with all the toppings stacked on top, it was nearly impossible to get a clean bite, which I don’t expect at a restaurant of this caliber. Overall, while the location is great and the atmosphere is nice, the service and food presentation could use improvement.

Sherry was absolutely wonderful. All great but the ribeye melt was well done and very greasy. Sherry was one of the best waitress ever!

We were outside, which really helped keep noise level down. As always, food & service was great. I try to stop in every time I’m in town.

Food was great. Service was spotty…we didn’t see our server again after our food came out and we had to wave down other servers to get items we needed/the check. Overall, would come back but maybe on a less busy day.

From the greeting at the door to all the servers waiting on all the tables, the delicious and flavorful food, the portion size, and the prices. This is just an exceptional place.
