                                                                                                                                Each year in our anniversary we seek out an upscale restaurant to celebrate. We’ve tried Morton’s, Three Forks, YO, Del Frisco’s, Chamberlains, Ruths Chris, Capital Grill , Trulucks, Steve’s (in Plano), Four Winds (in Wills Point - find it) and right now our current favorite, Bob’s Steak and Chop house This year Nick and Sam’s- the drive up and restaurant was gorgeous and impressive as we were led to our table. The excitement somewhat ended there. I kid you not we sat there for a min of five mins before anyone said a word to us. A young man came and took the extra glasses and settings away and finally a slick waiter showed up and gave us the menus. He walked away and then after a little bit we get water! lol. Waiter returns and takes a cocktail order and that was the last time he asked me about my cocktail or if I wanted another one. Now we did unceremoniously receive two glasses of champagne for our anniversary-it was nice. The food was good enough, just. I had the 12 oz ribeye and wife had the 10 oz fillet and two sides. As I type this I remember they put a basket of bread on the table a few moments after our meal was served - that was odd. My ribeye was neither juicy as you would expect a ribeye to be nor was it as tender as the filet my wife had. Again, throughout dinner my cocktail glass was empty (I know, I could have asked and should have). The kicker and I’ll admit that I’ve been impacted by this. - we just returned from a two week trip in Europe. There’s no tipping!!!I mean I get done and they give me a bill for the meal, I Apple Pay it and they don’t place the reader in my hand with options for 20% and beyond while they hover. I think that is what bothers me the most right now. The waiter wasn’t on his game, if he even had one and handed me a reader with my card in it asking for a min 20% tip. The experience wasn’t worth it. Did I tip it? Yes. So our fav so far is Bobs!!! They seem to care a little more about their craft (service and food). Sry NS

                                                                                                                                The food was amazing as always. The manager came over a few times to make sure everything was okay and we got complementary caviar and champagne. 10’a across the board. Also my ribeye and my boyfriend’s  filet mignon was cooked to  perfection and taste delicious.

                                                                                                                                Honestly, the worst experience I have ever had at N+S. Wendy was our waitress and her service was, well — let’s just say less than subpar. She was less than inattentive. We sat for over 25 + minutes on two separate occasions waiting for her. This was horribly embarrassing considering I was treating my boyfriend for his birthday. I have been coming here since we hosted the Super Bowl. What has happened?!? Best in Dallas? No. Wrong. I remember a time when Nick and Sam’s had Joe Palladino and Phil Romano touch each table and make sure you were having an amazing time. When the hostesses were the next up and coming models in North Texas. Sigh………times are clearly changing and not for the better.
