Nick & Sam's Steakhouse
USA Today says “well-done”, ZAGAT “very good to excellent” and a 2008 recipient of the Five Diamond Star Award.
Delicious food, great atmosphere, our waiter was ok.
One of the best experiences we’ve had since we moved to Dallas.
Delightful time with our guests who were first-time diners at Nick and Sam's. Our waiter, Ethan, was fun, energetic and gracious...not to mention thorough. We had a nice booth that helped with conversation until the overwhelming din of voices made it a little harder to hear. The chef was spot on with some gluten free options and the food and drink thrilled our friends. All in all a great night.
The place was extremely crowded and noisy and overpriced. The tables were so close together that the waiters could barely get through and so noisy that you could not have a conversation at your table. Then upon departure I discovered that the men's bathroom only had one urinal and one toilet which seemed ridiculous considering the number of people there.
The food was great BUT we had a reservation at 830pm and didn't get seated until 945pm. That's a major downfall. Once being seated, everything was great. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable.
One word!!Amazing!!! So glad we stopped by! Visiting from
LA! WILL NOT DISAPPOINT!
The service was horrible, we had to wait a long time to get our food. We had a 6:30 reservation but did not get our food till 8:30 and when the food finally came our steaks were cold and under cooked. The server was so neglecting my child. He brought us water but did not even ask if my 2 1/2 year old wanted some water. We had ask him to bring her some water. We asked if we could get her food out first which was Mac and cheese that also took for ever. The worst experience we have had their. It was loud, the lights were too low. Needed to use the light on our phone to read the menus. Never going back their again. We use to love going to Nick and Sam’s it was choice for all our special occasions. The quality and service has gone down. Very disappointed.
It gets no better than this. They always provide top service and anything food wise you want is excellent. It’s a steakhouse but don’t miss all the other seafood and sushi they offer!!!
Steak selection is always great here. After all, there are only 9 restaurants in the country that can display the Kobe beef brass statue. Service is always good. Chateaubriand was exceptional, as was the watermelon and tomato salad. Wine list offers great first and second line choices. Enjoy.
Steve, our server took very good care of us. The sommelier was great at recommending a very nice wine-Newton Puzzle. the food was great other than a few tough spots in our bone-in ribeye.
Outstanding!! Will definitely be back!
We adore Nick & Sam’s. No matter the occasion it will be taken to the next level by their impeccable service and attention to detail. This is the IT spot for lively, high energy festive atmosphere and 5 star cuisine. Management and staff won’t let you leave without feeling like you’re part of the family! This is no ordinary steakhouse. This is an a EXPERIENCE!
Always accommodative with great food and service. Dinner in the bar is the best steakhouse scene in Dallas
Absolutely wonderful.! Nick and Sam’s never disappoints. Enoc, the manager, stopped by our table and was most gracious. Taylor, our server, was great. It was my friend’s first experience at Nick and Sam’s. She is a Del Frisco’s fan and she was totally impressed. Thanks for a most pleasurable evening.
Our experience was amazing & Steve (our server) was the GREAT!
Great food. Great service. Great time.Great memories.
I regularly dine here with my family, so we decided to bring my boyfriend in for his birthday because he had never been and I was incredibly disappointed. I ordered the steak special (sampler of cuts) and was not only never asked what temperature I wanted them prepared, they were very over cooked for the standard medium rare. The server asked for temperature on the other steak dish and the ahi tuna dishes but for some reason neglected mine. I did not send the steak back because I didn’t want everyone else’s food to get cold by the time I got a replacement, which was a mistake because the steak was tough and fairly flavorless. All of the sides (lobster Mac, duck Mac and mushrooms) were egregiously over salted almost to the point of being inedible and both of the Mac’s were bland at best. Definitely not the first nick and Sam’s experience I wanted to give my boyfriend and not near what I expected from them especially with a $400+ tab. Will be dining elsewhere after this experience.
Great as usual !
We went for my boyfriends birthday, and everything was amazing! Our server Seth took great care of us. The food was awesome, would definitely recommend this place for birthdays and anniversaries!
Steaks were perfect and service was excellent!
Everything from the service to drinks and food was amazing! Will definitely be returning.
Extremely loud, unpleasant atmosphere. Waiter apparently thought we had come for drinks and deviled eggs, waited for a long period after appetizers to order main course and waiter looked surprised when he asked if we were going to order anything else and we said “yes.”
Main dish (meat) arrived at the table 5 mins before sides and with desert after everyone else at the table ordered it would have been nice for the last person ordering be told that the S’mores Baked Alaskan is very large and possibly offered a 1/2 size...?
The one shining star was the food. It was excellent and prepared as ordered.
We had a party of 11 for my boyfriends birthday. The waiter was amazing and the food was awesome. The dessert was cheesecake with a sparkler, fruit and gummy bears! Everything was just perfect!
Had a wonderful evening celebrating my mother’s birthday. Good was great like always, and our waitress. At the end we had to have dessert! Can I just say how good and pretty the rainbow cake was 🌈🎂
We were seated promptly even when we arrived about 15 minutes early. Our female waiter was friendly and knowledgeable, I’m sure the wait staff are trained to upsell constantly, but it did grow a bit wearisome after awhile. The food was all well prepared and delicious. Filet, crab legs, sautéed spinach, and creme brûlée were all excellent. Wines by the glass were good. A nice touch was a complimentary stem of a sweet sparkling wine from CA delivered as we were finishing our food made me order a dessert even though we were full and I am glad we did! No complaints at all. Will return.
Food was delicious!! We were so grateful for Mike and Brian's hospitality. The atmosphere was lively and joyful. Will try out the cotton candy next time :)
This was our first time to eat at Nick & Sam's. It was the best filet I've ever eaten and all the food was fabulous. The service was great as well. Juan was our server and there was an amazing support staff to help us as well. The general manager even made it to our table to ask us how we were doing and to introduce himself. Kudos!
Awsome food was great no complaints what so ever will be going back
Kayla is awesome! Had an amazing dinner and service. Love coming to nick and sams.
Nick & Sam’s is my all time favorite I love it... however when I book through open table my seating is always in a high traffic, high noise location. I do better on my own dropping a name or two :)
One of the best steakhouses anywhere in the country. You will not go wrong choosing Nick and Sam's.
Absolutely wonderful! Food was amazing!
I’ve heard a lot about how great the food was here, but I was a little disappointed. The service was outstanding, the steak was awesome and the cake was pretty good, but that’s where it stops. The sides were just okay, something that could have been made at him nothing exquisite at all. The lobster Mac and cheese doesn’t compare to other places I’ve had. I will return but will only eat cake.
First time at Nick and Sam's and we will definitely be back! The filet and ribeye were superb, and we were brought free champagne since we were celebrating my boyfriend's birthday. Highly recommended!
I went for my 31st birthday because I’ve heard amazing things about this place but my experience was everything but that. My initial table was in a terrible spot right by the kitchen, it was very noisy and I couldn’t hear my guests speaking, so I asked to be moved to another room which was much better. Our server was really sweet, although she kept forgetting our drink orders. The food wasn’t tasty or flavorful at all(I had the red snapper) which I ended up sending back. Our sides were cold, my Brussels sprouts were really cold and crunchy as if they hadn’t been cooked long enough. At the end I asked for dessert and the server told me that the dessert wasn’t complimentary, that complimentary birthday desserts are up to the manager and the server at the time. I thought that was odd because I always choose a high end steakhouse to dine in for my birthday and I’ve never had this issue, so that was a little odd to me and dessert is honestly my favorite portion of the meal. After we had that discussion about dessert I asked to see the dessert menu and ordered some chocolate cake. However, I never received it because after we’d taken care of our bills she disappeared and I sat at the table with my guests for about 15 mins waiting to no avail. So I just left shortly after. My birthday dinner definitely wasn’t what i expected, i was highly disappointed.
Rocky start. Been here a few times and they really need to work on how the guests are greeted. We had reservations for 8, we checked in at the desk and they told us our table would be ready soon. At that point you just walk into a very dark room with a couple of bar tables and what appears to be a a caviar buffet set up and facing us, but no one references what that is for. I have seen people help themselves to it, and then I’ve seen servers do it. I believe you are supposed to let the servers do it but no one tells you this. If the people at the front would simply say there is a caviar bar but please don’t help yourself, that would be helpful. It’s just a little awkward to not know. We were seated and one of our guests was asked to remove his hat (not a ball cap but a nice hat that looked nice with his outfit. He had a jacket on and looked great and i was sad for him to be singled out, especially when we had seen men walk by wearing shorts, and in jeans, at 9pm on a weekend. I have no issue with having a dress code but I felt like focusing on the hat while allowing the others was odd. These things happening at the beginning really put of a bit off, but thank goodness for our server. Ed was phenomenal. We had a marvelous time once he got involved. The food, of course, is incredible. We had a great evening and will return.
Excellent service throughout and I loved the meat showcase. Love how knowledgeable the servers are. All of the staff made us feel welcome.
Enjoyed but always feel a bit pricey since everything is a la cart. Expensive steaks for no included sides.
Celebrating a birthday here based on friends suggestion. . We had to wait for our table however, we were told to help ourselves to the caviar bar but I had to ask someone for a spoon. Napkin nor anything else offered. 20 minutes later a manager asked if we’d like a beverage while we waited. Made it to the table decorated with glitter. Service was attentive at first but nose dived after entree delivered. Charged for birthday cake, which is ok, but at this cost for dinner a complimentary something would have been a nice gesture. Overrated and would not suggest nor return. Better food, service, and customer appreciation at Capital Grille. Disappointed for price and hype.
