    The food and service were excellent as usual on our visit on July 3 except for the blonde bartender who was consistently rude to everyone. The place was unusually crowded because of the holiday weekend so folks were waiting on tables by ordering at the bar. Had we not been to the restaurant on many prior occasions and had we not been celebrating a birthday we would have walked out after that poor welcome.

    Absolutely the best steak. The is a steak joint. First class all the way. (the lobster looked amazing too) Many folks were dress for a nice dinner but not absolutely required. The service aligns with the top-shelf steak restaurant. Great wine selection. And the temperature in the restaurant was perfect. No Shaw or cover-up needed for the ladies. Be mindful of the parking.

    The prices here are right up there with Mastro’s Steakhouse—a true fine dining restaurant —but the food doesn’t quite rise to the occasion. It was decent, nothing terrible, but definitely nothing memorable either. For South Carolina, it’s a solid spot. But if you’re coming from the food scenes in New York or Boston, it’s like comparing a high school talent show to Broadway. And while the menu screams “fine dining,” the atmosphere doesn’t exactly follow suit. The space feels more like a dark box—no windows, no views, just dim lighting and high prices that seem a little ambitious for the local pay scale. As my dad likes to say: if you have to smother something in butter, you’re probably trying to hide what’s underneath—and it’s rarely anything good

    Trayson and Lizzy were amazing! We enjoyed celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary at NY Prime. Food was delicious and the cocktails were a 10/10! Anytime we visit Myrtle Beach this restaurant will always be on our itinerary! Thank you for a great experience!

    The food and sides were very good. My grandson said it’s the best steak he’s ever had. The staff were attentive and friendly. For us it’s a one time meal while on vacation as it’s pricey but well worth it.

    This may be my 3rd....4th(?) review of NY Prime, and this one will be no different: I will put NY Prime up against the best steak houses out there in terms of quality of service, atmosphere and of course the steaks. Who would have thought something like this could exist in Myrtle Beach?! Go, and enjoy!

    This is the only place I go for steak. It’s more than an hour from Southport but so worth the trip. Outstanding quality all around. Food, service, ambiance. NY steakhouse experience in Myrtle Beach.
