We strive to create an experience that looks at the Southern dinner table through a new lens.  Our menu offerings are rooted in southern comfort dishes but are elevated to a level that will excite today’s diner.  They remind us of family meals around our dinner tables but over deliver complex flavors and stimulating presentations.  Our guests are served by a staff of eager hospitality professionals capable of providing the backstories of dishes, suppliers and ingredients.  The experience offers a balance between soothing and creative, rustic and refined, downhome & uptown, satisfied and craving more.

    We had a delightful dinner last night. The food was really good and our server Abigail was the best. She was attententive but not intrusive, responsive, cheerful and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back.

    Food and service was great. While we ordered small plates and a salad it would have been nice if the waiter asked we wanted them together or as two course's.

    New South is ALWAYS great!! Sue is wonderful as is the rest of her staff. Although this restaurant has been in charlotte for a long time I consider it a hidden gem. If you have not been there or it has been a while, do yourself a favor and go back!! The food is fresh, local and made with intention and the service is always great! I highly recommend it. Michele

    Veggies and biscuits. Been coming for years and the menu items are all great. However, I love a place to get country style veggies (collards and fried okra) that are fresh and nice biscuits.
