New Sheridan Chop House
Galloping Goose Bus Station: We are 20 feet from the Courthouse Galloping Goose bus stop.
$7.00 for bread is ridiculous and your prices on steaks is exorbitant. With this pricing structure you are inviting a competitor to the town
Still one of the very best in Telluride. Great cocktails, classic steakhouse cuisine.
Always a great experience. Everyone there knows how to make sure your visit will be memorable. Outstanding wine and cocktail list. Menu has a great variety of entrees and don't forget to try their burger.
Best steaks in town!
Johnny was our waiter. He was amazing. Great service level and attentiveness. Food was spectacular.
Always enjoy the Chop House. Good food, beautiful atmosphere and great service.
We brought our friends here who were visiting Telluride for the first time. They loved it as we knew they would. We are never disappointed when we visit NSCH.
Excellent menu, wine and atmosphere....Our service was exceptional! The location is a super cute hotel...
Took my boyfriend there for his birthday so that he could try the elk steak. He really enjoyed it and my meal was delicious (the filet) as well. If you are looking for authentic Telluride fine dining this is the place! Super service and atmosphere. Highly recommend!
Birthday dinner. Great
The service was excellent, but the food wasn’t that great. I ordered a filet. It was decent, but no better than any chain restaurant such as Outback. It was certainly not on par with other high end steakhouses. We ordered crab legs and they seemed dry. The ambiance was nice. The prices were high, and the food quality did not justify the price. You can get a better meal elsewhere in town for half the price.
We had a lovely time. It was a splurge to celebrate my husbands birthday and only disappointment is that, even though I marked that it was a birthday celebration when I made the reservation, this did not come through so The Chop House didn't give us the usual birthday treatment. They felt bad and we were a bit disappointed...though they then made amends; which was unfortunate for them. Great place and we'll return again.
Great creme brule!
Fabulous venue, service and food, a must for the complete Telluride experience, best NY strip we've ever had.
Awesome as usual!!! Food, scene, service, drinks all fantastic.
This was a very nice experience. Excellent food and service. Make your reservations in advance if you are here for a festival.
Delicious as always. I had a pasta dish that was loaded with olives and garlic. Definitely recommend!
We had a wonderful meal, fabulous staff and fun in this Telluride gem!
Our biggest disappointment in Telluride this season. The fois gras was brought to the table over cooked and well done. I mean, seriously. It's supposed to be like butter, and it was like a meat ball, only harder. We had to ask our waiter for bread... twice, and the second time was after he brought appetizers.
We ordered steaks and salmon. Usually the salmon at their local's restaurant "Phoenix Bean" is good, properly prepared and 30% less money. Here it was well done and we ordered it rare! I'm not in the habit of sending food back because I know better. We sucked it up and ate it, but it was a disappointment. The bison ribeye was ordered medium rare and it came medium well. They should not be putting out food like this. It's way too expensive to not be perfect, and steak... let's face it. If it's good meat and cooked properly, you can't screw it up but that's exactly what they did.
Can't recommend this place any more. Nothing they are doing out of the kitchen is excellent except for the desserts, and we skipped them this time because we ran out of time so we can't be sure of that anymore. To be honest, the whole experience ruined it even for the wine, which we gobbled down because it was so expensive. Not going back for a long while. Very sad. Hopefully this will correct before next year. We can't do it again this year. Too much of a disappointment. Pizza would have been better.
Never disappointed ! They deliver every time we come to Telluride. It is definitely one of our favorites places to come for drinks and have dinner.
Wonderful service as usual. They honored my request for a specific table. Nice wine list.
Very nice diner and good food. Would recommend to have more Local Colorado wine on menu.
Lovely meal. Great waiter, Steve, who made perfect recommendations for sauces that would complement the dishes we chose. Steve was attentive and awesome!
Awesome Mountain menu. A tad pricey, but best location in town. We like it better for brunch-daily until 2pm.
Food was of high quality, but the service was very disappointing. It was very overpriced for that kind of service. I will not go back.
I can sum this place up with one word, Pretentious (with a capital “P”).
Nothing to critique. Every thing was perfect from Jeremy at the bar to our waiter, Traverse. To the wonderful Gazpacho to the Bison steak...melt in your mouth. Loved this place. Run...don’t walk.
Everything about it was great
Super friendly staff, the best bone in ribeye ever!
Definitely the best restaurant in Telluride. Great service, great wine list, fantastic steaks, seafood tower, desserts. Clearly the best in town.
Great location, classic decor and a nice, small menu of mixed local fair and classic 'white tablecloth' type food.
Outstanding wine list to begin your evening. All the way through to dessert it was great. Service, especially, was perfect and the kitchen turns out magnificent dishes. As a result, pricey but well worth it.
We were on our honeymoon in Telluride. The food was fantastic, the best we had the whole time we were in Telluride. The steaks were delicious and cooked perfectly. We dined outside for the mountain views. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.
We ran over to Telluride to have dinner, and the Sheridan came up as one of the must do resteraunts. Ironically, my husband had been there 32 yrs ago when it was a hostel. He paid $10 to share a room and a bath. He said it was wonderful to see it in its glory. The food was fabulous, we had the Elk Tenderloin and it was exquisite. The Wedge Salad was wonderful with a Buttermilk blue cheese dressing that was fresh and delicious. The flourless chocolate tart with fresh berries finished the meal nicely. It was definitely a memorable meal, with great staff and wonderful ambience!
The food was good but the service was bad. We sat in the bar area and it took a really long time for our food to arrive. The waiter also told us that we couldn’t do any substitutions because it would mess up the Chef’s numbers.
I LOVE THE NEW SHERIDAN! THIS IS A MUST FOR DINING IN THE TOWN OF TELLURIDE. WE HAD THE LAMB CHOPS. GREAT ATMOSPHERE GREAT SERVICE AND GREA FOOD.
The Chop House was a last minute decision. We had an awesome table by the window., great people watching for both of us. We ordered a bottle of wine they did not have, they made up for it by offering us an very nice upgrade for the same price. We wanted a nice leisurely meal and they gave it to us. They did not rush us. The food was excellent, as usual. We will return.
Great food, ambiance and service... a great experience.
One of the best dining experiences my wife and I have enjoyed in a long time. Wonderful setting in a historic building, attentive but not intrusive service, and food that was absolutely delicious. The Gazpacho was the best my wife and I had ever tasted, and both the Colorado Lamb and the Sea Bass were superb. If you're looking for a top-notch dining experience in Telluride, you won't go wrong here. After your meal, adjourn to the rooftop bar to enjoy an after dinner drink and watch the sunset on the mountains. What's not to like?
