Afternoon Tea

Not your average tea salon, Neverland is an amalgamation of everything we love: celebration, decadence, ritual, whimsy and creativity. We love variety, so we offer you options on which Neverland experience is right for you. Slip in for a quick indulgence at our Tea Bar Bakery, or enjoy our formal high tea service in our Neverland Room.
For those with dietary intolerances, our chef, Gordon Kuang, has also customized a complex blend of flours to create gluten-free options that are literally indistinguishable in taste and texture from our regular items. The idea is to have those with dietary restrictions not just feel included, but honoured for their differences. No dairy or gluten, and Vegan? We promise to wow you with indistinguishable variations of our high tea pastries, talk-of-the-town scones and full lunch menu.
Please respect our 1 1/2 half hour seating during busy times. Weekends and holidays are a minimum spend of $20 per person, High Teas are per person only not shareable.

The food was great! Unlimited tea was really nice. Service was also good. However, there was just too many people and you had to kind of yell in order to hear one another. Not exactly what you expect a tea place to be like.

Dear reader
I am searching for place with good quality of tea in all BC. I am seriously disappointed becouse insted of having relaxing tea time screaming baby shower gest behand my back make me run out from the" neverland salon "
ther is no excuse when I book high tea a one month prior the event to make me suffer after 20 minutes in the such noise place. the place is small and many more table are placed then the floor can handle
I can do better at the park with food from street vendors.
the reason to write the review is to let you know that the only high tea is in Victoria empress. The places in Vancouver tho including vancouver hotel are not to call high tea at all.
Mariola
ps
their try to make as much for their buck as possible leving me disappointed. I am not going to any places so called high tea after this experience That what had happened to me after this visit

My granddaughter and I went to Neverland for her birthday and were quite disappointed because it was so noisy we couldn’t hear each other to enjoy a conversation.
I also felt for $57 dollars , we could have had more tasty sandwiches and treats.

Your venue is lovely and the service was really good.

Lovely place to have tea. I really enjoyed the whole service. I'm an avid tea room person. Been to many tea rooms around the world. Neverland was a different twist with the Peter Pan theme. Loved the touches of Peter Pan everywhere and the tea theme throughout.

Also really loved the dedicated Vegan Menu option. Don't really find that at Tea rooms. Not only that but it was delicious.

My husband took me to Neverland for a Birthday high tea, which was lovely. Being a Saturday it was busy and the service was not very attentive. For one example, our waitress forgot to bring cream with my husband’s coffee and it took awhile to flag her down. I suspect they are short staffed like so many other places. The sandwiches were delicious, half of the pastries were also very good, the rest were disappointing in that they were a bit soggy. The decor is fun and unique. The noise level became uncomfortably loud and we couldn’t wait to leave. They really need to put up materials on the ceiling to absorb the sound. If you can go midweek it’s not as noisy, but that wasn’t an option for us.

I've had great experiences in the past.. The whole experience felt rushed and it seemed or server was new. We got our food quite late and our tea as well

I wished that due to my lactose intolerance I didn't just have gluten free options as well as they were quite dry

What saved the experience was the mimosas, tea choices and the ambiance

The hostess/server was really great. She was attentive to our teapots and had a very welcoming and hospitable attitude. As for things I'd change about the experience, the blue cushion on the wooden chair weren't fastened very tightly so I found myself wobbling while sitting at times. Overall I was very pleased with the experience. It was great to have a vegan option for high tea!

The food was excellent, and staff were amazing, though the temperature inside was too warm (non-LED bulbs in the chandeliers and two skylights let heat in) and the noise level too loud for a tea experience, IMO. It felt more like being in a nightclub, which is not why I go to tea.

Beautiful setting, chandeliers, antique teacups, and Prosecco! The food, the tea and basically everything you need for any special occasion. Wish the seating wasn’t so tight, but that’s my only tiny issue. 👍🏻

I took my mom here for Mother's Day tea. It was a great experience! The food was delicious and definitely enough (we took our desserts home). We each also had a bubbly cocktail. Overall the whole experience was awesome. We even ended up getting to use the china that my grandmother (who passed away) had.

The decor is so lovely , The food is delicious, and the service was very friendly and attentive. The one drawback is that there's an hour and a half limit which made me feel rushed whereas I would prefer to take my time and enjoy each bite. We were told three times in one sitting that we had a time limit, which takes away from the experience.

I ordered the gluten and dairy free option. Everything was good except for the mango tapioca and the bbq jackfruit. The tapioca was too bland; it could use some coconut milk and sugar. The bbq sauce was too overpowering. Love that I could try different teas in one sitting. I plan to come back to try the traditional option. Thank you!

I used to think that high tea is out for those of us on GF diet - not at Neverland as they have GF option along with vegan, DF free and vegetarian. Thank you Neveland. Really enjoyed the experience.

The servers were nice enough however the food was average compared to other tea places I’ve been too. My mother was pleased that the tea was actually boiling hot like she likes it. They also did something special for my daughter’s birthday at the end however which was a nice touch. I would rate the whole experience average due to the food and the service being not bad but average.

Lovely experience, fairly busy for a Monday afternoon but not too noisy. Food was very good...asked for more clotted cream and received it as portion given for too small for two people. Tea was excellent. Would have been nicer if teapots were ceramic as opposed to stainless steel. Would go back.

Overall, was a pleasurable experience. Very cool vibe. However, I thought the price was overpriced for what we got. 2 pots of tea and a few baked goods for $30+. Our server was decent could have been more attentive and questioned my 90 year old grandma for choosing English Breakfast tea. “That’s the one you choose, there are so many.” Like........

The only negative I would mention is that they didn't disclose at the time of booking or upon arrival that seating's are a max of 1.5 hours, don't misunderstand it is perfectly acceptable however, it isn't noted anywhere and can come as a surprise. We had enough time to get through everything and our server gave a 20mins heads up but that was when we were first made aware of this time limit.

Great service staff who were attentive despite how busy it was.
They enforce a time limit so be on time for your reservation and be prepared to leave when your time’s up.

Overall good experience, probably would be better on a less busier time.

The service could be better as one of the servers didn’t ask us to refill our teapots and instead gave us our cheque and told us that the next reservation would be here in a few minutes (even though we were well within our 1.5 max. visit time and the next guests didn’t arrive even 30 minutes later). It was a bit awkward as we felt that that we overstaying even though no one was waiting for our table and we were finishing up our tea.

It can be a bit expensive but it is well worth it.
