Sunset Park Restaurants

We had a great lunch today. The lentil soup and special eggplant part sandwich was excellent. Our reservation was at 1 pm and it was full up and noisy when we first sat down. By the time we were finished the place had cleared out. Declan and Maddie, our servers, were on top of it - polite, timely and friendly. Great meal in a busy place - be sure to make reservations.

Perhaps some of the very best Italian cuisine in NYC, Cecconi's Dumbo never disappoints. Thoughtful, solid pastas (the cacio e pepe is outstanding); stand-out gnocchi fritto; stellar brick chicken; and the fiorentina steak is always cooked to perfection (perfect for sharing). The waterside setting is an extra bonus. Even in winter, the spacious windows permit sweeping views. We like sitting at the bar -- service is friendly and fast, and you have a birds-eye view of expert cocktail creation.

Returned for lunch for the first time. SO SO good. My husband had the Caesar and I had the brussel sprouts salad. Excellent. We both ordered sandwiches. Mine was the fennel sausage with broccoli rabe and hostess the meatball parm. Both were 10/10. That bread is to die for!

The food was extraordinary. The decor and ambiance were beautiful. The staff was kind and very accommodating. I will return again and again.

The staff was extremely on point with everything not a drop of food or a crumb was left on the table. They were super helpful in providing recommendations for drinks and other things to have and they were just so nice.
