I asked ChatGPT for a James Beard-level restaurant in Tyler, and Heritage East was the answer. I went in with high expectations, and Heritage East exceeded them. Excellent service. Exceptional food. Every item was flawless.

There are not appropriate words this side of Heaven to describe this place in Tyler but we will try. The Prime 102 is as unique and has such a special atmosphere as the People’s National Bank was in 1932! We were actually treated as The Bank President’s VIP’s. This is our “go to” place for very special occasion. We had just been remarried that afternoon and celebrated here afterwards. We cannot tell you how special it is, you just have to go and see for yourself. My husband had the house Chardonnay, the 12 ounce filet mignon cooked to perfection, wedge salad and scrumptious loaded baked potato casserole. Just too good for words. I had the superb Tyler Market Salad, and Devine Ahi Tuna Tartare. All fit for a king and queen! We were awestruck with every bite we took in. Usually you get full as you eat and lose your appetite before finishing your meal. NOT HERE! We did not want the food to end because each bite was as good as the first! It is just as elegant from the front door to the back! Each staff is so professional in person and in their attire. Our waitress was the epitome’ of what a waitress should be. She even honored us with the fabulous butter cake with Mexican ice cream and a lit candle that was out of this world and offered to take pictures for us. It was such a blessing and memorable evening we will never forget! How nice to have such a fine dining experience here in Tyler. It is beyond a 5 star! I certainly give it a TEN.

They did a very good job, especially on a busy day like Mother’s Day. Food was excellent. They even gave all the moms an embossed wine glass! Nice little touch :)

This was our first visit and we loved it. We each had the filet and it was cooked perfectly. We sat on the patio and watched the sunset. Our service was great and can't wait to visit again.

My wife and I especially enjoyed the fried mushrooms. My grilled salmon was a little bit salty, but otherwise well cooked with a nice outer crust. My wife thought the chicken alfredo was ok. Not the best she's had, not the worst. However, it was served almost boiling hot. We both enjoyed the New York cheesecake. The service was very good, and the atmosphere is warm with lots of rich wood finishes.
