Monacillo Urbano Restaurants

We arrived and the weather was shifting, windy and rain headed our way. We sat at the bar and put our order in. The food came quickly and so did the rain. They were watching the forecast and just as the rain headed our way they immediately moved us inside. The servers were very friendly and moved quickly. We finished eating inside. The food was delicious. I had a mofongo with shrimp and my husband had the ribs with rice. So delicious! Must visit

Weekend trip to PR. This was a MUST. So glad we did. I have zero complaints. Every person who works here is beautiful. Shout out to the best server JONATHAN!!! Super knowledgeable about all things LALA and super personable. It’s just a great vibe. If you’re in the San Juan area, make sure to check out LALA!!!

I loved everything. Every single thing. Our table took 40 minutes but I wasn’t in a rush so didn’t bother me too much but enough to note. Aside from that; I couldn’t ask for anything better besides a different table. The air was blowing on me pretty hard in the corner. I wanted to sit by the garden wall. Food and service was perfect. Alcapurrias, pastellon, camarrones and the salted caramel were all perfect. Couldn’t believe how authentic yet elevated everything was. I’m emotional thinking about it lol I miss it.

We ordered drinks and they did not arrive until after we got our food. They might have lost track of our order. The manager came and personally apologized. Other than that service was excellent . Beautiful space with really fantastic ambiance. Food was incredible.

This was easily the best meal we had in Puerto Rico. They did a great job of enhancing local dishes to eat like fine dining but also being approachable. The ceviche, beef tenderloin and chicken appetizers were exceptional. The fried whole fish and pork shank were also delicious. The bar service was extremely complementary to the food as well. It was also the best and most knowledgeable service we had on the island. I would come back here any time we come back to the island.
