Upper Sapey Restaurants

Took my dad for a birthday lunch. The carvery looked great so we decided on that. The meats were delicious but unfortunately the rest was warm at best. Whilst we were eating the Christmas music was turned up and wasn’t pleasant. Thankfully it was turned down again when it sounded like someone was being murdered. Sticky toffee pudding was good but the Christmas pudding Eton mess not so. It was basically a bowl of cream with 3 chunks of Christmas pudding amongst it and some broken up meringue and a couple of bits of fruit on the top. The carpet was dirty with what I can only think food from the previous day as we were there just after 12. Radiators were in but it was still chilly.

Excellent until we came to pay. Bar staff made paying in cash awkward

Our Sunday Lunch visit was classy without being arsey! Staff were superb from the 1st drink in the bar until we said goodbye. Our food was on point, beef and pork outstanding! Thank you, you clever, clever lot!

Excellent food and service from Mark we will be back

Great country pub, excellent food and choice of beverages. The staff are so friendly and welcoming will definitely be back soon.
