Olmstedville Restaurants

This restaurant owned by the Butters is located in a gorgeous old, well-kept house with a ton of character. The food is sort of French-style (lots of butter!) but they have different dishes from different cultures with creative recipes, making meals you won't find elsewhere. The Moroccan bowls are a staple of the changeable menu and a favorite of mine. The cocktails are righteous and typically generous with the liquor. Dress a bit nicer than you would to go somewhere else, to match the beauty of the space. The owners and chefs are lovely people who support the community and are food to their staff - give them your business!

Very special spot, you feel as though you are in a home vs public space. Warm inviting space with exceptional food wine and service.

Kanu at Whiteface Lodge was outstanding. The service was great, food prepared to perfection, and ambience totally fitting for the Adirondacks. We celebrated our son’s college graduation and couldn’t have been more pleased with our decision to go to Kanu.

Food was great at right price and the view not only can't be beat, I think it's the best view of any restaurant on the lake.

Beautiful plates. Excellent flavor ! Short ribs were so tender and delicious! Calamari had quite a kick with the jalapenos! Fig flatbread was melt-in-your mouth delicious! Desserts was rich ! The setting was beautiful! Service was excellent. Server was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions! We had a wonderful evening and we’ll be back to try out The Tavern!
