Juárez/Cuauhtémoc Restaurants

We were visiting Mexico City for a special occasion from San Miguel de Allende. There is a beautiful Prime Steak Club in San Miguel so we anticipated the same, or better yet, experience in Mexico City. That was a terrible mistake. The location was on the 2nd floor of an office complex and not particularly attractive. It was very large and on this Tuesday evening it was mostly vacant. The ambiance was terrible! They had the baseball game playing on a big screen TV close to our table. It would have been suitable for a sports bar but totally inappropriate for a fine dining restaurant. The waiter was pushy and rude, we wanted to enjoy our cocktail before ordering but were interrupted 4 times, their asking if we were ready to order. The waiter seemed agitated that we weren’t in as big a hurry as he was. My partner commented that he didn’t like me! The evening was a huge disappointment but if you want to watch a game during dinner you might like this place. I will never be back as there are so many better restaurants and experiences in Mexico City. We dined at Rosa Negra on Monday night and the service, atmosphere and food was far superior….

Incredible experience, the team is very welcoming and the drinks are amazing - the Oaxaca one is out of this world and everybody should have the chance to try it.

The Sparkling Nights at Cityzen Rooftop Bar is a must experience if you visit the CDMX, I had the best view of the “Angel de la Independencia” and likely the best view of the city, the drinks are really good and the food is ok according to the occasion. All the staff were very kind making me feel comfortable and specially our waiter who was very friendly and provided us the best menu recommendations. I cannot forget to mention that the facilities are very cool.

Beautiful dining space with great views of the Angel statue. Food and service were top notch. We were a party of 8 and pretty much tried everything. Victor and Chema took great care of us.

Seasonal choices. Aubergine bread and butter is wonderful. The Julieta beer is very nice. Main courses are good portions and tasty.
