The food did not disappoint! Everything we ordered was delicious. A little disappointed that one of the dishes we wanted was sold out but we understand that as we were one of the last bookings on Sunday evening. Where we sat was close to the kitchen so it was noisy and a bit of a throughway. Would ask to not sit there again. The best thing about our experience was the incredible warmth and attentive service we received from Tammi. She made us feel so comfortable and went the extra mile to make sure we were happy. We’d visit again for the food but mostly because Tammi did such a good job. The rest of the team were friendly and helpful too.

This was one of the best out of at least ten meals we’ve savoured every morsel of at the Pythouse over the years. Staggeringly good food, sparkly and attentive and personal service, friendly and lovely. Atmosphere terrific, cosy and classy and country in an unpretentious but serious-contender-type-way. This restaurant gets better with time, which is no mean feat as it started nigh on perfect. I found the Pythouse through Giles Coren’s review in The Times which pretty much suggested it was pretty much perfect. The manager is extraordinary, the other staff are also natural and professional and warm. The chef is proper talent. The price is beyond good value: I’ve eaten better here than for twice the price elsewhere. Nothing but nothing to improve upon here.

A lovely, warm and friendly pub. We enjoyed a delicious lunch which was chosen from an excellent menu - spoilt for choice! Loved the play on words referring to cricket. I'm very much looking forward to my next visit.
