Bonn-Castell Restaurants

Service was great despite being very busy. The original beer was outstanding as well as the others. Food came in big portions and was outstanding. 10/10 My German is not very good, but they were still able to help me. They had an English menu. Definitely worth a visit!

We sat on the patio and our server took nearly 30 minutes to take our beverage order. We weren't in a hurry, but we were thirsty. The view of the Rhine was the highlight. The food was generally ok, but for the price, I was expecting something a little more memorable. The restaurant was busy (most tables inside and out were full) and generally had good energy to it. The restaurant was also clean (including the bathrooms) and seemed to be well run so I'm guessing our experience may have been unusual and our server was simply overloaded at the time. In any event, I would recommend it for the location, especially the patio, but I don't think its a destination location for the food and I'm not sure I'll be rushing back the next time I'm in Bonn.

Good options also for vegetarians. My guests were very happy to communicate in English with the service staff.

The chicken dish with truffle was outstanding 😋 Excellent wines and service. Will come again!
