Definitely should bring back the lunch menu. Cheese plate should have more accoutrements and lobster sliders are now lobster salad and nowhere near as good. Servers were great as always.
A fabulous evening with my family! Great food, great conversation in a great locations!
Great meal and service. When we arrived at 6 pm we could actually have a conversation without shouting but by the time we left around 8 pm every table was filled and we could not even hear each other. Always the same but we keep going because the food is so good.
Great decor and vibe inside the restaurant, service was very fast almost like they were rushing us, food was tasty but nothing special
Excellent food. Service was good even for a crowded Saturday night. Noise level is high so it was difficult to have a conversation. Perhaps sitting on the 2nd floor would alleviate that if it’s of concern to you.
Great food and service. Fantastic overall experience.
Great food and good service!
We dined at Nectar for my wife’s birthday and it was sensational. I’ve been once before, and it was as good - or perhaps better - than I remember. Our server, Wills, was thoughtful and appropriately attentive. He helped us navigate the menu and offered great recommendations. It was a wonderful experience overall and we can’t wait to return.
Nectar is our go to area restaurant - we are so happy to be back inside with lots of good food, good servers and lots of noise! Love the pad Thai.
Very good service and food. Drinks , wine , appetizers and entree all very good.
It was mobbed, so very noisy, but festive. They did well for post-civid crowded.
Staff was very friendly.
Love Nectar. Food and service were excellent.
Fantastic! Best meal ever!
Our meal was DELICIOUS. We always enjoy Nector.
Great food and service as always!!! Love Nectar! I did notice that some of the upscale or refined aspect of the restaurant decor had diminished slightly. The area around the sushi bar abs stairwell look like it needed a bit of tidying up. There was also an off odor near the kitchen doors and bathroom doors that would benefit from room freshener, like a musty funky odor. Those little issues aside, I’d say Nectar is one of if not the best restaurants on the main line!
Everything was absolutely wonderful. I believe it is the covid backlash that is probably affecting the level of service - it was acceptable, but I did expect better.
Went back to Nectar after several years and discovered that they have improved the variety of menu offerings. Our party of four ordered different items, all very well prepared and presented.
We have been to Nectar several times in the past and had great experiences. This time, however, the service was absolutely terrible. The only redeeming aspect of the dinner was the food which was very good. Other than that, we were very disappointed.
Have dined here a few times before and has always been 5star however this time not so much. Service was a bit slow but I understand that coming out of the pandemic. Appetizers and drinks were all very good. Things went down hill when the entrees arrived. Two persons in our party ordered the wok lobster. First hint something was not right is the smell when it was brought to the table. It smelled like dirty feet. The lobster meat inside was mushy and the rank taste and smell permeated throughout the dish. When we made the waitress aware, it took awhile but the manager eventually came over. She said the lobster was fresh and was delivered today she ate the lobster heads and proceeded to say it was the fish sauce in the dish and if you don’t like fish sauce then don’t order that dish again What??? My husband and son have eaten fish sauce before and it never smelled or tasted like that. We have eaten all over the world and eat out frequently. I think we know when food is bad! Very condescending. She did take 1 lobster dish off the bill but would not take the 2nd because it was half eaten…whatever..will not be patronizing this establishment again.
Nectar is one of my favorite restaurants. In all the years I've been going there, I've never had a bad meal. The food is always delicious and the service is always great.
Really good dinner with family. Start to finish it was perfectly prepared and tasted amazing. Started with pork dumplings, burrata, and veg spring rolls, followed by wonderful sushi and chili wok scallops shrimp and tenderloin. Wouldn’t have been complete without the donuts to finish. We’ll be back soon!
Celebrated our daughter’s birthday. Great ambience, good food and excellent service. Great vegetarian options. Delicious sushi rolls- spicy tuna rolls. Appetizers were awesome. Will definitely go back.
It has been a long time since my last visit. It was even better than I remember. The service was spectacular, attentive and helpful, but t not intrusive. Plates were timed perfectly. The sushi was fresh and well made. The curry chicken dumplings were wonderful. The mushroom soup and the goat cheese salad were big hits. The foie gras was perfect. Mango ginger martinis for the win!!! Dessert was worth the calories. The coffee was even great. We were the last table at the lunch service, and were not rushed to finish. We will be back!
Very disappointing, given its one of our best restaurants.
The service was terrible and the food was even worst.
Please get your act together....
Loved our visit here. We had the dumpling bento box, the sushi bento box, desserts and amazing cocktails! It was way more crowded than I expected on a Wednesday night but that could just be my post covid feels 😂
Amazing food. Excellent service. Spectacular evening.
Server kept forgetting about us. Drinks took forever, cant blame it on the crowd, wasnt crazy busy
Nectar was great! It was clearly busy and it took a long time for us to get water and have our drink order taken but once we got over that hurdle everything was fantastic. The edamame dumplings and tuna tartare to start followed by a ton of sushi and some great drinks.
I would say this place is trying to portray it self as nicer tha
Nectar is always great! Their food and service is one of the most consistent!
The food was incredible once we got it. Took 40 minutes after sitting down for someone to come to our table to get our drink order and then another 20 to get the drinks, at which point we ordered our meals for fear of how long it would take to get. We were there for over two hours and had two adult beverages, not because that’s all we wanted but because of how infrequent we saw our server and the time it took to get the drinks. The quickest thing that got handled was the dropping and processing of our check. I understand COVID and the inability to get people to work, but if your restaurant is incapable of handling 100% capacity at this time, don’t open at 100% capacity. Every single table around us felt the exact same way and there were multiple tables who went up to the hostess to ask for their check because of the length of time it took to get anything done. It’s unfortunate because the food was delicious and if it weren’t for the incredibly slow service, it would’ve been a great experience. Unfortunately, we probably wouldn’t come back again.
It came highly recommended by a friend and it lived up to every expectation - we’d call it a home run!
I get that everyone is bouncing back and restaurants were HARD hit by COVID safety protocols. The valet service was excellent. The outdoor area they built was “quaint” but not the standard they have for the inside - and that’s fine, things are difficult to get period. They were fully staffed, but the service was not good. Table next to us was seated for 20 minutes before greeted and they had the same waiter as us who had been to our table 2 times in that period. The mixed drink I ordered seemed watered down to be honest and the glasses smaller than I remember (though $ the same). And 2 of our entrees came out 15 to 20 minutes after the other 2 of us had been served. And the sushi wasn’t as impressive as pre-pandemic. And they said the sushi bar had “shut down” during the meal prep which is what took so long for those dishes to come out. And oddly - 2 of us ordered sushi and rather than putting each of our individual orders on individual plates - they just put it all on one plate which was kind of bizarre. But, we’ll go back again, but not for a few months when they’ve gotten back on track. It was just ‘awkward’ for people like us who have been dining there for years.
Very nice luncheon......thanks for an enjoyable time.......service, hospitality, food.
As always just a fantastic meal! Everything was prepared perfectly and arrived so quickly! The fish in the sushi is always so fresh!
They must’ve known from my Open Table account that it was my birthday and surprised me with a delicious chocolate creation with a dark chocolate happy birthday decoration and a candle on it!
I have heard that they are shortstaffed but you would never know it because there is always somebody passing by to ask if we need any refills or assistance.
I really appreciate the barriers they put up around the center booths even though I am fully vaccinated. It just makes me feel more comfortable and it’s also more private.
This is really the only restaurant I’ve been going to since being vaccinated as I am guaranteed a delicious meal, excellent service, great wine and cocktails and a lovely environment.
Definitely come to Nectar! I came here for an anniversary dinner and the food and ambiance were amazing. (I recommend the edamame dumplings) Nectar was kind enough to surprise us with a small discount for the occasion. Very much worth the visit.
Late Father's Day Dinner...perfect as always. Started with the bento box for two and had a mouth watering risotto with scallops!
We have been here before and enjoyed the dinner experience with out of town friends.
Nectar has excellent service staff, they are very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, I ordered the rack of lamp, it was perfectly grilled; my wife ordered the Sea Salt Crushed Shirmp, Scallop beef tenderloin, it was delicious; and my son ordered the Wok Lobster, it was very tender and juicy. The lemon meringue was very good too. We had a wonderful time there, will definitely come back.
Great service at lunch. We had one of everything and it all tasted great.
