Edemame dumplings were so good! We have several courses but that one stood out to me. Our server was very nice and attentive. We loved that desserts were made in house. The lemon dessert was the best one, we ordered them all 😂
The food was beyond amazing!
Food always consistently great! First time dining out after getting fully vaccinated and it felt good inside the restaurant, with wait staff still wearing masks. Glad to see South African wines one the list
Great food, great waiter. Sat outside because the weather was so nice.
Dinner was delicious and everyone enjoyed the evening. Always a treat at Nectar.
Great place for a special occasion meal...a bit pricey for every day.
We went for a Mother's Day dinner, and understandably it was very crowded. However, we were seated close to our reservation time, which was great. The cocktails are fantastic, especially the grapefruit lychee martini! The food was very good. Our only disappointment with the food is that two people at our table ordered a spicy dish, but asked that the spice level be reduced somewhat. I'm not sure if there was a miscommunication between the waiter and our table, or between the waiter and the kitchen, but the food came out with absolutely no spice at all. While it was still delicious, it was disappointing that the flavor was compromised somewhat.
First time back since they reopened indoor seating. I think they were a bit short staffed as service (especially drink service) was slower than in the past. The food was delicious as always and it was a great way to celebrate Mother's day.
Mothers Day brunch/lunch was the usual menu with one addition in each course. I miss the all out brunch from several years back - please bring that menu back.
That being said: Nectar is our favorite local restaurant. We always enjoy our experience there. It’s good to be inside again😊
Excellent staff and food. The lobster stew and deconstructed lemon meringue pie were delicious and memorable.
Mother day weekend
Nectar has been our go-to special occasion restaurant for 15 years and they continue to give us many reasons to come back again. The owner personally greeted us when we arrived. The main dining room is expansive and impressive. The staff move with a purpose. We were seated upstairs at a very private table for two, overlooking the sushi bar below. It was perfect for a romantic meal. As always, the food was incredible. From the lobster starter and mushroom soup to the sushi rolls and wok chili tenderloin entree we loved every bite. However, the primary difference-making factor continues to be our favorite server Bob. What a nice man. He always stops to say hello, briefly engaging in interesting conversation before continuing with his work. On 5/8 he teamed with James to deliver a Mother's Day celebration dining experience that far exceeded our expectations...again. We so enjoyed Saturday night's experience that we will be bringing our son here for his birthday dinner when he comes home from college. All around kudos to Nectar for remaining consistently good at a time when too many higher-end restaurants have started to fall off. And kudos to Bob. Nectar is very very lucky to have him.
This is a great place to celebrate any special event or just dinner with family or friends. Great atmosphere, consistent high quality food and great service. The sushi is outstanding, so fresh and delicious. My husband likes the fact that you can get such great quality food in the burbs rather than driving into center city! My family and I have been coming here for years and are never disappointed.
Wonderful food and service….
We a a wonderful meal. Our waiter who’s name oi believe was Andrew was excellent. He made some suggestions that were excellent. We will definitely return
Very nice experience. The only negative was they declined my opentable gift card that was from my points.
Chose Nectar for my first post-vaccination lunch. I was not disappointed. I had a wonderful grapefruit lychee martini that was just delicious. Would have loved to have another, but it packed a punch!
Menu has changed so there is no longer the lunch menu of before. Most of my favorite items are still on the menu and some new ones that look good. I was a bit surprised by main courses priced at $36 and above. I suspect this is a dinner menu repurposed for lunch but, even then, it was a little expensive. I had a yellowtail scallion hand roll and the fish was SO fresh. Just melted in my mouth. The shrimp pad Thai was very satisfying and there was some left over for lunch the next day.
Very accommodating service as my friend has a restricted diet and they did everything they could to adjust a dish to her needs. Great lunch!
We have missed the edamame dumplings - it was delightful to return!
Delicious food, awesome service. Well worth the price.
Wonderful to be back! Amazing food as always.
Nectar is perfect for any event. My friend of 30+ years and I had a lot of catching up to do and the wait staff was totally accommodating. Had it been crowded or they needed the table, we would definitely have left, but they seemed to have available seating on a Wednesday so we could linger. The food never disappoints and there is a choice for any appetite and budget.
We sat outside on the back porch which was lovely. The food was delicious as always. The service was very slow as they seemed to be overwhelmed with both inside close to capacity and outside. Our company was delightful so we didnt mind- but we were there for awhile
Wonderful setting- indoors or outside- coupled with a unique and well executed cocktail menu, high quality ingredients and culinary skill.
It was our first visit. Won't be 9ur last. Mo,the waiter, made our night extra special
Food was excellent. Service was great! We sat outside in the heated patio section, which was perfect!
Nectar is the perfect place for an upscale dinner in a beautiful atmosphere. Both the food and service live up to the expectations that one has for a restaurant of this caliber. Although quite busy, it was a peaceful atmosphere with excellent acoustics, Also, portions are hearty as well. We both had beef dishes and it was excellent.
Excellent food and the atmosphere of lace is beautifully decorated.
The Food was phenomenal!!!
Nectar has always been one of our favorites and after our last time there I probably still will return. However I was a bit disappointed in a few things and the whole experience was kind of flat. I know Covid has essentially sucked the life out of dining around here, so that affects the mood, but the main flaws were food related.
The tuna tartare, while still very good, seemed a bit skimpy on the portion. I don't believe it was my imagination.
Also the Wok Chili Beef, again, still tasty, seemed lacking the usual bok choy "allotment". Maybe they had used a lot on previous dishes and didn't have much left.
I know they are trying to do their best but I'm not sure tampering with the dishes is warranted or a good idea.
Server was excellent! They changed my appetizer as I didn’t like the one I ordered.
Shame the bar area isn’t open for dining. That would make all the difference to the ambience.
We sat outside on the back patio and it was lovely. Dinner was superb as usual. We’ll be back soon for another family birthday!
Probably the best "fushion cuisine" type restaurant in Greater Philadelphia. Fresh fish and shell fish delicately prepared. Vary good sushi/shashimi. A good wine list that compliments the food. The wine list was somewhat pricey, however. I have been Nectar many times and have never been disappointed.
As always, Nectar was outstanding! It was so nice to be back inside and the tables were nicely spaced. It was the same high quality of food I had come to expect.
Absolutely delicious - we will certainly be back!
This was my 3rd time at Nectar. The food is always amazing as well as the drinks. Service was great!!
Outstanding service! Food was very good. Outside dining area nosy
Bizarrely poor experience from the start. No server at our table for 10 minutes - had to flag someone down who quickly said “may I take your order?” I hadn’t even been given a drink menu yet. Yellowtail special was elementary, bento box was cold, basmati fried rice flavorless. Dessert was only redeeming dish. Safe to say that Nectar may have run its course after all these years.
Always super fresh and high quality sushi! Best on the mainline.
