The food is always excellent at Nectar.
As parents of 2 children under the age of 2 it’s hard for my husband and I to get out for date nights. It is important when we do get the chance that the restaurant is worth it and Nectar did not disappoint. The sushi was delicious, the wine was perfect, and our waiter was wonderful. We can’t wait to go back again!
Overall, Nectar was decent. I’d go again but am in no rush to do so. Thanks to this meal, as well as others had in the suburbs recently, I’m now convinced that I must go into the city if I want a really great meal.
We have frequented nectar for many years and were utterly embarased due to the manager named Nicole.
My fiancee and I sat next to one another at our table opposed to across from one another. We had already been eating or appetizer and the manager was going to seat parties next to us and said we were making it uncomfortable for other customers and my fiancee needed to move. The other party felt awful for us and said there was plenty of room.
We told the manager she did not make us comfortable and was rude and she was very arrogant and our server agreed.
We never experienced the unprofessional manner of a manager in Nectar or any restaurant ever and we eat out often. Our second round of drinks took so long we had finished dinner and were not happy with the overall feel and we cancelled the drinks and left.
If management changes we will try it again.

A bit pricey with average service. We will not be returning.
I expected a better selection of sushi considering the focus seems to be on sushi. There was a lack of other items to choose from also. The decor was ok, but as more people sat down I felt like we were in the food court at king of Prussia mall, not in an upscale restaurant. I don’t think my experience was anything special.
I asked for a quiet table and we got one which was relatively quiet
Service and food were excellent
We’ll be back
My husband and I recently had a “date night” dinner at Nectar. The ambiance is very cool with beautiful decor and a modern vibe. Craft cocktails were great- I had the mango ginger martini and he had an old fashioned that was garnished with house-marinated cherries. After he complimented the drink, our excellent server brought a small container of the cherries to take home. The food was very well prepared and presented on modern white plates. We felt so welcome and cared for and highly recommend this restaurant. We will definitely return to Nectar again soon.
Trible valet parking
We will not dine there anymore
The service was great, the food was excellent, and we loved sharing all the different types of delicacies that we ordered.
Nectar never ceases to plaese. The food and service are outstanding with a great selection of wines by both the bottle or the glass. My wife and I went to celebrate our anniversary and our desert was comped by our waiter. Nice!
Good was not up to par. Service and quality has slipped.
What a waste. The reviews made me think this place would be worth the high prices, but I was very disappointed. The sushi was not bad, but I've had far better at a fraction of the price. My girlfriend's main was also underwhelming. I see no reason I'd ever go back and pay a bill of almost $100 for food that is no better than average. For that cost, I demand to be amazed.
This was my first time dining at this very posh style Asian restaurant. From the very first minute in the door the service was outstanding. Our waiter Bob is a seasoned professional and was helpful in selecting great dishes. The stir fry steak and Chinese broccoli was perfect. The fried pork dumplings were amazing and had just the right tang. Our sushi dishes were also good but the star menu selections were on the Chinese side of the menu. We will definitely return to this restaurant!
Excellent on all fronts
Birthday celebration, food was very good, but typical. Dessert was amazing. Friendly staff, but wait staff did not come around very often to check on beverages and it took awhile to pay the bill. Noise level is loud and it is hard to hear people across the table unless they are speaking very loud. Over all good experience and would come back for the food if in the area.
All was well as we enjoyed our meals as usual. Just wish it weren't so loud. Otherwise, good place to go.
The food and service was wonderful. Drinks were fun and they were able to help with even gluten free soy sauce. The only small thing was when we first got there it was quite and it was so nice. As the night went on it got crowed and naturally louder. Not awful but then they added loud music on top of it and we could barely hear each other. Like I said not a big deal, just preference.
Love Nectar! Everything as perfect except for our server. Thankfully, a very nice male server realized we were “neglected” and came to our rescue.
Very good. Cool place with great fusion atmosphere.
This place was awesome! Food was exceptional! I highly recommend the friend banana roll as well as lobster fried rice. It was one of those nights where every bite was worth it.
Would give the food a negative if I could. Worst I have had in the area. Food use to be very good, not sure what happen.
Always great at Nectar. Sat at the bar on date night and a wonderful time.
The food was amazing and I recommend getting seated upstairs if possible, however the service was less than desirable. Our side dishes to pair with our sushi were not brought out and when they were there was not apology for the 15 minute delay. We had to ask to have our drinks refilled. Compliments to the chef, the food was delicious and the decorum was perfect. We appreciated being seated on the second floor and looking down into the restaurant. For the price, we would have expected better service.
My wife and I had a Great overall experience during our first visit to Nectar! My colleague recommended we try here so I suggested it for a post business meeting dinner. I have a birthday coming up in a few days...Nectar may be the spot of choice! fantastic food, and quality service.
My father’s birthday
DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE ALLERGY ISSUES & bad customer service !
I called in advance to see if a Seafood Allergy would be an issue before making a reservation. They said no, and they are very careful.
A group of 5 ladies dined here to celebrate a College Graduation. One individual when ordering let the waiter know she had a seafood allergy, he said he would notate it they would make sure no cross contamination happened.
She ended up taking a few Benadryl quickly when breathing and itching became and issue. The waiter came over and asked if there was an issue and then went to talk to the Chef. Came back and explained he didn't know how it happened. A wee bit later the waiter brought over the Mgr / I believe owner and he asked if she ate anything before coming here, he didn't know how it would happen here. Offered no assistance or offer to remove her meal from the Bill.
Let me add, this was not a cheap meal at $375.00 for 5 with 2 splitting a meal.
We will never return due to the owners reaction and response.
Bob was a terrific waiter; extremely accommodating concerning special dietary considerations.
Lovely meal. Nectar is a long time favorite but we hadn’t been in a while, and our meal was wonderful. Our service was outstanding and everything we ordered was very, very good. I hope the short ribs never leave the menu, we love that dish so much!
Great evening: food was fresh and very tasty, sushi was wonderful and creative. My daughters love the atmosphere. The wait staff are friendly and helpful with suggestions. Love it!
Great for special occasions, attentive wait staff, creative menu. The lobster fried rice was remarkable as was their steak dish. One minor suggestions: The donut dessert needs to be improved or removed - not fluffy/buttery enough!
Made a reservation for 6:45. They told us that it would be about 10-15 minutes longer. 40 minutes later we were begrudgingly sat "at a different table". Once seated we waited 10 minutes for a glass of water and another 15 for other beverages. To top it off the power went out. Obviously out of the restaurants control but the neither the servers nor the managers thought it necessary to inform the tables of the status and that no food was being prepared at that time. While some factors were out of the restaurants control, they certainly didn't do anything to accommodate their guests. For being such a highly rated and pricey restaurant I would have expected much more. Needless to say I will not be returning.
Our server was unprofessional. She disappeared through most of the meal. Put in the incorrect sushi with zero apology. We waited over 10 minutes for her to take our check. She was at the bar chatting. I finally had to go to the host desk for assistance. Unacceptable.
Daddy daughter night! Was lovely to have a nice place with good vibe to catch up and share very delicious dishes.
When we ate here before and thought everything was very good. This time we thought the service was a little slow. Our appetizers were good but our main courses needed a little kick, we thought both were on the bland side.
Stopped in for dinner after the Radnor Hunt Races. We've always had a good experience here and this visit was no different. Some interesting martinis, the butterfly was a big hit. The foie gras and tuna tartare were both excellent starters and the wok lobster was a very unique entrees. The striped bass was also good but lacked pizzazz. For dessert, the ice cream sandwich was a little overwhelming with the cake but the macarons with the dried fruit was delightful. We sat upstairs for the first time, overlooking the sushi chefs, which was a cool vantage point.
Nectar did a wonderful job handling Mother's Day!! Great food and service. A delightful evening.
We wanted to have a great Mother’s Day meal at this beautiful place. The ambiance was just perfect and so was the service. We ate upstairs which was nice. My son ordered an orange martini and he said it was weak. He later ordered a grapefruit cocktail and he couldn’t even finish it. We ordered the bento appetizer which was a disappoint and my husband ordered the tuna tartare. It was just ok. The sea bass was excellent though. I had the pork dish and my son had the shrimp and vegetables. They were just ok. The desserts were delicious. I would say that for the value it wasn’t worth it at all. I would rather go to Sang Kee in town and get the same meal for half the price and better quality food. We are glad we tried it, but We won’t be back.
5-stars, as always!
