   Food is phenomenal. My only issue is that they rush you. A lot. If there’s food on your plate, they’ll ask if it can be taken away. So then I’m thinking I need to hurry up and finish. Not quite the fine dining experience you’re hoping for then.

   Ambience is nice, but it is very expensive for only okay food. (Our appetizer also came with a hair on the side 🤢) This place takes itself way too seriously for a suburban restaurant. No plans to visit again.

   Nectar was my favorite place, a true 5 star equal to Nobu in NY & Umi in Pittsburgh. When we arrived for a party of 3 we could not be seated even though we said we wanted to have a drink and await our other guest. Very stupid policy, congested the entire entrance with others as well. Cheap looking sign in entrance with names of employees ruins the atmosphere of the place. Greeter, poorly dressed, arrogant, and awful. Menu not a good, menu itself is cheap looking in plastic, no good items, no specials Selection poor no specials. Quality of Bento Box not as good, Sushi was not at all good, Wegmans has better. Sashimi was terrible, not fresh and cold and poor quality. I loved this place, but it is now a disaster and will not stay in business if it continues like this. It is sad the executive chef died, a tremendous loss, but you do not change to cheapen everything. Never go back, when I used to go at least once a week before Covid.

   It was not busy when we arrived at dinner. Very few people were seated as we purposely chose that time for that reason. A very lousy dinner from start to finish. The medium well filet arrived medium (too rare) and had to be sent back. That should have only taken a few minutes. It was well over 10 minutes when it came back, dry and overcooked. Of course, by the time that overcooked filet came back I was finished my dinner, which was luke warm when it was served to me. The side dish we ordered (one of our favorites) arrived and it was spicy (as in hot). My mouth was burning. The manager came out to argue about it. She said “the chef doesn’t put anything spicy in it”. How awesome. Tell that to my burning throat. The dessert was donuts which we have had before . They were hard and chewy. Won’t be back. Too many other great restaurants to go to that actually care about the food they serve.

   We love Nectar but this visit was a little painful. The first order of Edmame dumplings were amazing. We decided to order one more as my guests loved it, but the second order came out looking different - it was as if we had ordered an entirely new dish or prepared by a different chef. With 2 hungry kids, and a graduation celebration, we ignored it. The quantity we ordered for the entree to share seemed less. 3 share servings (2 shrimp padthai and 1 lobster fried rice was not enough for all. I was in Nectar and ordered the Shrimp padthai less than a month ago - Mother's day. And the boat-shaped serving dish was definitely fuller. This seemed like the chef was trying to optimize the noodle for the dish. We asked for the hot sauce and chilli sauce and waited patiently but the person who served the dish did not bring it to us. Finally when our server came to us, we told him that we were waiting on the sauces. He did bring it but in 2 small bowls as if it was being rationed out for 3 entrees on the table. I had 3 guests with me and I was paying for this dinner and I had picked this place because me and my daughter love Nectar. Never been disappointed before. Do not assume that everyone on the table being served are the same family... I had specifically called the previous evening to inform the hostess that I was having 3 guests for my daughter's graduation dinner. Will I go back to Nectar - Yes, I will but will think twice before I go with a guest.

    We had 5:45 reservations, not super busy at that point, waitress was excellent, menu diverse, didn’t order alcohol, but 4 bottled waters were consumed. I judge bathrooms(sorry) and there was a bit too much dna on the walls, lacking toilet paper and obvious smoking going on in the bathroom.Valet parking is nice.

    Excellent as always. One of the most consistent restaurants on the Main Line for food and service. The edamame dumplings and Nectar lo mein are the best! Bob our server is the best. The only negative comment is that it seems they added tables in the back room near the patio. The tables are a bit too close and the staff had trouble getting through as well.

    I used to go to nectar frequently. This experience was pretty poor. Food was cold on arrivals me someone in my party found a hair in their meal. Must have been an off night. Not sure that I will return after this

    Food is always great here and I'd highly recommend. It is loud, although by the end of our 7:15 dinner it had thinned out and the noise level was fine.

    Our server,Will was the best, he described the items we planned to order and he was spot on . I chose the f Halibut, it was light , flaky and very tasty. Nectar has become my new favorite dining spot.

    We had not been to Nectar in a few years, but it is just as wonderful as we remember it from a few years ago! We enjoyed the bao buns, spicy tuna roll, lobster pad thai, braised beef, ice cream & smores dessert. The service was wonderful as well.

    Have driven past this restaurant for years, so we thought for our anniversary we would finally try it. Have to say was disappointed. It was really overpriced Chinese food. Had the Braised short rib and was not that great. It should melt in your mouth and it did not. The ends were dry and it had a little to much fat on it for the price you were paying. My partner had the chicken and shrimp and said that it could have had a little bit more chicken in it.

    An all round great experience, Decor and vibe was great, service was friendly and professional at the same time. Food was delicious! Pork buns are not your traditional, they were better. All the sushi was really fresh fish and some fun rolls. Something for everyone.

    We began dinner with the chicken curry dumplings, which were advertised with a chili pepper on the menu and came with a "spicy" sauce. I detected no heat and more generally, the sauce was bland. The dumplings themselves were simply fine. For mains we ordered the wok chili tenderloin of beef and the filet mignon. The tenderloin was cooked excellently but unfortunately lacked flavor. Other than the few pieces of sliced jalapeno, it again lacked heat. The filet was cooked properly, but similarly to the tenderloin lacked serious flavor. The croquettes the steak was served with was actually quite good, but I didn't pay $45 for dressed up tater tots. Likewise, the blue cheese and spinach dumplings were a unique take that I had not seen before, but did not justify the price of admission. Surprisingly the hot fresh mini doughnuts ended the meal on a positive note. Essentially just fried dough balls, the caramel coffee and "spiced" (with cinnamon, not chili) chocolate sauces were generic. The raspberry vanilla sauce was excellent, and I would literally purchase this for use at home. Dessert saved the meal, but it feels like something I could have gotten anywhere else. I also ordered a jalapeno infused tequila and pineapple drink; it lacked heat (a common theme) and surprisingly lacked sweetness as well. It was simply fine. The experience feels like it was reduced to be palatable to the rich and tasteless; I simply mean to say that at this price point something should be exceptional, maybe I ordered the wrong things, although I was told the tenderloin was the most popular item, but the food was missing any kind of "wow" factor. Put another way: it feels like Nectar was curated to feel adventurous or exotic to those that dislike leaving their comfort zone. Overall, Nectar was entirely inoffensive but nothing was incredible; $120 for two before alcohol could simply be spent at many other establishments, and at that price I simply cannot recommend Nectar.
