- TThiravatMississippi •31 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe stayed an extra night just to try fried chicken night at the Fountain Lounge. It was worth it! Mind you it is only fried chicken with sides, cole slaw, red beans and rice, & biscuits. The chicken was crispy and crunchy with a bit of a kick. We even liked the sides. The coke slaw was creamy with a nice sour tang. Good red beans and rice. That's the opinion of my wife who grew up here. Delicious honey butter biscuits. In terms of value, $26 for 4 pieces plus the sides. You can get another basket of chicken for $12. To me it was a great value and yummy fried chicken. Is there better fried chicken? Sure. Willie Mae Scotch House or Dooky Chase but, you're going to pay more. Also, you gotta like getting good fried chicken then just chilling at one of the best hotels in the city, The Roosevelt.More infoFountain LoungePrice: Moderate• Bistro• Central Business District•4.4
