Lucky is our favorite spot in Roanoke for a cozy, comforting dinner or craft cocktail at the lovely bar. The service is warm and homey but also efficient and attentive. There are so many wonderful dishes to choose from, but we love the insanely great fried chicken, low-country shrimp and grits, African peanut stew, sweet potatoes bathed in a kimchi-miso glaze and Brussels sprouts--you see? It's impossible to pick a single favorite. The one dish that didn't wow us was the smoked meatloaf, which had the taste and texture of something like kielbasa. Not bad, but not what I was expecting. The bar can make almost anything you want but it's worth trying the specials. One of my faves, occasionally on the special cocktail menu, is their pitch-perfect Vieux Carré. One other tip: the wine-by-the-glass selections are a little sparse, so we like going with a group that is open to sharing food and ordering a bottle of wine or two.

We went to the Thanksgiving buffet for about the 3rd or 4th time. This was the first time we went to the late 5 PM seating. The food was very good and the Cajun turkey very unique (quite good as well). They were out of the pumpkin spice drinks and seemed to be out of some of the earlier served food items on the buffet. Some of the dishes such as the shaved brussel spouts were dry from sitting on the steam table for a while. Service was excellent. We had a very pleasant evening and all the guests enjoyed the food. I will return and would recommend but may try to go to an earlier seating next time.

Great place for special occasions or anytime you want some great food. Service was impeccable. If you get Matt as your server, you will be more than pleased. Very professional and friendly!

My wife and I dine here for date nights here and there, and we have decided that we are going to make Well Hung our anniversary dinner each year going forward. We ate here for our 2nd anniversary last year and again for our 3rd tonight. We haven't had a meal that we have not enjoyed yet! The food is delicious! We tried the apple cobbler tonight, and it was divine! We can't wait to eat at Welll Hung again! Highly recommended!
