An award winning restaurant set in busy downtown overlooking the Inner Harbour. With patio views, steps away from seaplanes and ferries, it’s a great place to dine!

The cozy interior, featuring local artwork, sets the tone for the food and wine. At the centre of this rustic charm is a bountiful oyster bar, Victoria’s only true oyster bar. Nautical Nellies offers a large selection of fresh, local, OceanWise sustainable seafood and well aged, hand cut Certified Angus Beef steaks. The menu is a mix of classic and modern styles with distinct West Coast influences. Start your meal with Jonah Crab Cakes. (Rumoured to be the best in the city!) or the succulent albacore tuna tataki. For lunch choose one of their handcrafted sandwiches featuring Dungeness crab or Atlantic lobster. At dinner, the Hunter Sirloin or a more traditional surf and turf.

The wine list has won several Playhouse International Wine Festival Awards and Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for 2008- 2012

The food and service were great. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed watching the passers by while we ate. The mixed berry mule was quite refreshing!

Service very long, cocktail tasteless, halibut fish wellcooked but trio means little mushroom on one piece half one strawberry on an other one, sides very ordinary (baked potatoes and 3 asparagus..) doesnt value the price asked. Pacific Hot pot overcooked and tasteless.
I was there 2 years ago and it seems that quality has dropped. But still full. A kind of tourist trap as you can find on any harbor..

Definitely fishy. The appetizer were tasty but I found the house salad difficult to eat with so much carrot hash sticks and very little dressing made it rather dry. Lobster bisque was creamy in texture but flat in lobster taste. The steak and mushroom puff pastry dish was rich in flavour, but the mash lacked all flavour. California cut steak was cooked properly but not a nice cut of meat as it was very grizzled. Large wine selection...but they have no Lillet Blanc for those of us who like a Vesper martini.

Great location next to the harbor. Quiet atmosphere and excellent staff. We had the west coast platter for two. Great variety of local fresh fish.

A very nice dinner in a relaxed atmosphere with good food and wine and friendly service. We shared scallops and prawns wrapped in bacon and on forks for dipping to start followed by a seafood pasta and an excellent mixed fish and lobster for mains. A very pleasant experience

Extremely disappointing service. Food took 45 minutes to come out. Not sure if our server forgot to put it in or what but tables around us got their food quickly. Not worth the price at all. Such a disappointment.

Good, not great. Service was wonderful. Food was good and flavored well. But standard fare, nothing spectacular.

Like the other review the food was outstanding and the service was over the top. Ambiance is more old world style, lots of mirrors and a fish tank. Food definitely makes up for it. We will definitely go again!

Nautical Nellie's was a nice find located along the wharf. We sat outside and while a good location, it's not exactly picturesque. We started with the fried oysters (excellent and an unusual sauce - although there were only 3), then a seafood linguine and crab cakes. In a rarity for someone who doesn't like Italian food, the volume of seafood far outstipped the available noodles. It had a light red sauce and was really tasty. The wife enjoyed the crab cakes, and we both gorged on the flourless chocolate espresso torte. The wine list was lengthy and I found a number of items I would like to try, but settled on the Lucien Crochet Sancerre - my newest favorite region for Sauvignon Blanc's.

We enjoyed Nellies, my scallops were excellent. The decor was fun, maybe a smidge dated. Overall we enjoyed it!

Outstanding quality Lobster. Unfortunately, Management seems to place less value on it. Variety is down to one size (1 1/2 lb). Cracking it open with one additional cut would help. But this being said, the lobster is fameously good!

First dinner on vacation in Victoria- good wine, the halibut 3 ways was amazing, and the salmon was very good, but our server was just going through the motions... not much eye contact, and not friendly or seemingly knowledgeable about the menu items.

Dinner with friends I hadn’t seen in 25 years. They’re vegan/vegetarian now. While not a huge selection for them, the food was superb. My Caesar Salad could have fed 3 people, but was very fresh, and amusingly loaded with bacon. Take that, veggies! Bang Bang Cauliflower was on point, the beer and prosecco was ice cold, the table on the patio was warm, protected from the wind, and the view was amazing for my Albertan friends.
This is maybe my favourite place to take out of town guests. I might suggest partnering with a local spot like The Very Good Butchers to increase the vegan options. As for me, I’m dreaming of the Tomahawk Ribeye...
Loved the place, will absolutely be back!

Overall was okay - very long to receive food, when others who came in after us received theirs first. No explanation - told a couple of times the food was being plated and then another wait.

We made a reservation while our ship was in port. We all loved the meal!! Really great. Plus it was my daughters bday and she is dairy free and they didn’t have anything so they made the most beautiful fruit platter you’ve ever seen... if I lived there I’d go back!! We had salmon, halibut- all delish!!!

Excellent food, fantastic service. I didn't love where we were sitting - it was a bit dark and felt a bit cramped. The seats by the window looked nicer. It is a fancy place, so expect Surf & Turf pricing.

Highly recommend the seafood linguine. Ingredients were fresh and tasty. We also had the escargot starter, and they were the most tender and most flavourful escargot I've ever had! Definitely give it a try.

In Victoria for our 30th Wedding Anniversary and made 7:30pm dinner reservations here after arriving via the Clipper on Saturday evening. It was a nice walk from our hotel near the Clipper terminal. I had a salad and one of the salmon entres. My husband had beef ribs. It was all cooked perfectly. I sampled a rose' that was very good, but settled on a California Pinot Noir recommended by our waitress. She was adorable and very knowledgeable. The whole dinner was ideal, not fancy. We skipped desert.

This restaurant is a 'must go' if you are visiting Victoria. We had a wonderful dinner, steak for me and an excellent seafood dish for my wife. The restaurant is across the street from the wharf and harbor in Victoria. We strongly recommend dining here.
