pork schnitzel braised in a mushroom cream sauce with spätzle, garlic confit and broccolini
Apple strudel with vanilla bean ice cream and whipped cream
The cocktails were yummy! The food was delicious! The service was awesome! Can't wait to go back.
Food is beyond expectations. Service is impeccable.
Excellent food. Appetizers, main course, dessert, drinks, everything was exceptional. The waiters, though, were a bit impatient as if in a hurry to wind up probably because they wanted to be with their loved ones before midnight on New Year’s eve.
Amazing — would go there again. Food was great, service was impeccable. Lovely way to ring in the new year and was the best meal of 2021 (I had a Duck Pot Pie).
Food was delicious and fulfilling. The outdoor dining accommodations were comfortable.
Food was absolutely extraordinary. The chefs here really know how to compliment the flavors on their dishes. Duck pot pie was savory, sweet and decadent whilst filled with a wide mix of tuber vegetables. The Jager Schnitzel was amazing. A mushroom cream sauce with a garlic confit served alongside some broccolini. The earthiness of their mushrooms really penetrated and shined in the sauce which paired amazingly with their roasted garlic confit. Sauce wasn’t overly rich, but just rich enough....only critique for this dish would be that the sauce was slightly more ‘runny’ than it was the last time I had it. Sausage trio was great, and also a very very generous portion. The sauerkraut served with it was amazing and probably my favorite part. Spatzle egg noodles were simple, but delicious...as they should be. The wine list here isn’t at all extensive by any means, but what selections they do offer here are amazing wines. And while you’re here, don’t forget how much Germans and Austrians love their beer. You’ll find great options to enjoy and to pair with your food here.
Always great to have dinner at Naschmarkt. We started with cocktails (a dirty martini and a craft cocktail that was mezcal and citrus based) and for appetizers we had the hazelnut soup, and one of the evenings specials, mussels. For the main course we had the duck pot pie and the halibut. Everything was delicious and the service by Juan was perfect.
Celebrating a birthday. Everything e ordered was wonderful as always. Our waiter was excellent and we were made to feel welcomed.
Amazing food. Highly recommended. I live 45 minutes away but it was well worth the drive and I look forward to going back soon as there are still other dishes that I want to try still.
The food is divine. The beer selection is amazing. The service is stellar.
We had the Hungarian Beef Goulash and Jager Schnitzel. Both were great. The Schnitzel came with lots of mushrooms. The beef in the goulash was very tender. Our desserts were excellent. We enjoyed the Salzburger Nockerl, Apful Strudel and trio of sorbets (raspberry, mango and passion fruit). The service was attentive. We sat outside and were warmed by the overhead gas heaters. It was great for a special night out.
The food was cooked to perfection. Everything tasted great. Delicious bratwurst, Wiener schnitzel, goat cheese salad with wilted leaves, apple strudel. We had a very nice time. Thank you Natschmarkt.
Excellent food and service! Only complaint is we wish there were a few healthier options but the food and drinks we did order was very good. We look forward to returning again and would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Great service, the goulash and double-cooked pork belly were both delicious! Would happily visit again.
I enjoy this restaurant, the people, and the food. It is always an outstanding experience
Really interesting menu and wonderful service. Appetizer (scallops) and entree (schnitzel) delicious and well presented. Wine selection quite interesting and cocktails quite good. scallops portion seemed a little small, but otherwise definitely understand why this place has good ratings. Would be nice to have lower priced wine options. parking is a real challenge in the area so plan accordingly.
Naschmarkt never disappoints regardless of which entrée one chooses. It's always worth a visit and on the weekend the atmosphere is really nice as they stay busy until later in the evening.
It feels a little tight inside, but of course that would make it a perfect spot for a cozy date night. Great beer selection and hearty dishes. Start off with the pretzel and sausage trio. If you have room for dessert, try the apfel strudel!
Very good customer service. Out res was for 2030hrs and we got there really early and was able to be seated around 1830hrs. They asked if the bar seating was okay and of course we accepted.
Ambience is nice but not upscale where you feel like you have to dress up dress up. Some folks were casual some a littleore dressy, but either way it was comfortable. Someone was even wearing a big bubble jacket and hat and it felt okay. We dressed semi nice for the night out.
Food was perfect. Portions were spot on. We left so full we barely had room for the souffle dessert.
Definitely would recommend.
We began the evening with a glass of wine and a cocktail that resembled a Zazorac. I had the special soup with the Trffel oil which was delightful. My wife had a large dinner salad which was uneventful. I had the Grouper which was not
light and flaky like Groupers I've had in the past. The fish was mushy and very little flavor. Very disappointing. We have eaten here many times over the years and had great experiences. What happened? No reason to return with all of them fine eateries in the area.
The food is always delicious here. I love their soups and the goulash is my favorite entree, but whatever you order you’re in for a treat!
Overall, the food was wonderful and the wait staff was very attentive and friendly. If you’re concerned about Covid, go early or late or request a table outside as the space inside is cramped and tables are certainly not separated by 6ft. Couldn’t believe that the $25 scallop appetizer was served with only 2 scallops (inflation is real!) but the two of us each enjoyed our scallop very much. Next time we’ll stick to one of the more traditional appetizers instead. Fine selection of German/Austrian beers and wines. The Kruger Riesling and the Andechs dunkel weissbier were our favs. Would definitely order the Jager (pork) schnitzel again as an entree. The sauce on the schnitzel was well balanced and the mushrooms were a nice complement and not too earthy or overpowering, all of it pairing well with the spaetzle and even the crusty bread they bring to the table. The soufflé dessert was heavenly but the molten chocolate cake (kuchen) was unbalanced. The uber rich, slightly bitter dark chocolate plowed right through the subtle flavors of the caramel and banana and seemed to clash with the espresso gelato (a simple vanilla gelato would’ve done wonders for this dish). In the end though, this was a lovely place that we can’t wait to try again albeit with some different selections to start and end the meal.
Nice small restaurant. Early reservation but after an hour tables all filled up and it was very noisy and very, very crowded. There was no spacing of tables likely because the restaurant is small. Two entres, Hungarian Goulash with spatzel and Wienerschnitzel. with German Potato Salad. Goulash and spatzel was good but the schnitzel was just a fried piece of meet with lingenberry sauce. Sadly, too little sauce left a dry piece of meet. Potato salad was good. All-in-all just a average meal at an above average restaurant.
We have been here before. We went with friends to celebrate Christmas together. It was a perfect evening with excellent food and outstanding service. Thank you for all you provided. We will be back for sure.
Amazing food and attentive service
What a great all-around restaurant! Wine and beer list was great, we had 3 different entrees that were all excellent, and dessert- wow. We will definitely be back.
Fabulous food and service! Very inviting
Food tasted wonderful: scallops appetizer, pork schnitzel, duck pot pie and souffle. Wish had more scallops, pork and souffle. Liked pork dish more than duck, but both good.
Everything was beautiful and delightfully tasty! The staff was knowledgeable and provided great recommendations. This is a favorite location.
Friendly service. Food was delicious!
Glad we got a reservation! This restaurant is SO GOOD. Every bite was delicious. We had the classic Weiner Schnitzel with the best potato salad. The pretzel appetizer was so delicious — served with a warm cheese dip that our friend referred to as the “cheese butter”. But the best part of the meal for me was the warm apple streudel with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and a cafe Frangelico that. I am still dreaming of that streudel and would eat it every day if I could.
Wonderful warm atmosphere and the food is exceptional. The duck pot pie is delicious with a wonderful puff pastry crust. Every dish is expertly prepared. The service is friendly and efficient. Great cocktails and a nice wine and beer list.
Everything was delicious! We had the Jaegerschnitzel and the Rouladen, and both were the best of their kind that we'd ever enjoyed. The service was polite, attentive, and quick, and our cocktails were thoughtfully composed. We'll be back for our next special occasion!
Absolutely a fine dining experience in every way.
We experienced it for the first time and definitely will be back on special occasions.
It’s a bit pricey for our financial situation, but completely enjoyable and worth every penny.
Great service, food, cocktails/wine. Warm, welcoming environment too. Love sitting up at the bar - Sal is great!
Went in looking for a "fine dining" experience prior to a show at the Heritage Theatre. This place totally delivered. Go give them your business; you won't be disappointed.
Pork Belly, spaetzle, Jager schnitzel were all so good!
Our first time at the restaurant. Wonderful ambiance, great food, and friendly staff. Juan was exceptionally helpful and made the experience much more enjoyable. It was great chatting with him.
Delectable flavors of food and drink. Attentive staff. Will definitely return
Absolutely wonderful dinner. Lauren took great care of us and the food was more than excellent. We can't wait to return.
