The Derby
Price: Expensive•Steakhouse•4.8(4,389)The Derby is more than a restaurant. Established in 1922, it has been family owned and operated since 1951. It is a grand museum showcasing some of horse racing’s greatest moments. Diners are invited to take a break from the rush of modern life and travel back to the time of George Woolf, Seabiscuit, and relive the excitement of “The Race of the Century”. We excel in offering the best meat and fresh seafood hand selected by our longtime executive chef that would delight even the most discriminating of taste. Some of the menu highlights include the Bacon Wrapped Filet, Delmonico New York, Prime Rib and Shrimp Scampi. We offer a wide selection of wines by the bottle and by the glass. Relax and enjoy a delicious meal in one of our iconic red leather booths, take in a beautiful evening on our terrace, or watch a sporting event in our bar and lounge. Dining at The Derby can only be compared to the feeling of holding the winning ticket when you smile and know that you made the right choice!Tokyo Wako - Arcadia - Teppanyaki Dining
Price: Expensive•Teppanyaki•4.7(121)Tokyo Wako in Arcadia has presented customers with traditional Japanese table cooking for well over 20 years. If you want a show with your meal, the teppanyaki style used to prepare your food will fit the bill.
Fortunately, Tokyo Wako also has a fantastic menu that won't disappoint. This includes the sauces used for the teppanyaki and sushi, which are all handmade. Try the shrimp tempura, beef sashimi, garlic edamame or the truffle butter edamame. If you like seafood, Tokyo Wako has an amazing deep-friend squid and deep-fried soft shell crab that you'll love. There is even a tempura ice cream here; you can choose between vanilla and green tea.

- KKatherineOrange County •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoA lovely tea! We really enjoyed our tea choices, I had the seasonal peach tea with a brown sugar cube that hit the spot! The scones were delicious, one savory and one sweet. Then, all of the tea sandwiches were delicious, even though 2 or 3 really stood out to us. The desserts were very good too, although we missed having a chocolate treat! We will definitely be back for more!More infoThe Huntington's Rose Garden Tea RoomPrice: Very Expensive• Afternoon Tea• South Pasadena•4.7

- AAnitaLos Angeles •3 reviews5.0Dined on Apr 13, 2025I took my mom and abuela to this High Tea and had the most beautiful experience! First off, the ambiance of the hotel was very nice, quiet, and relaxed. I picked this location over other tea houses because it had the elegant look I wanted for my abuelas birthday. We all dressed up in cute dresses with tea hats and didn’t feel out of place being dressed up here! When we arrived, they had our table sectioned off with privacy screens, it was a nice touch to make the experience more intimate! Our server was very polite and helpful! Most of all, the chef Layla came out to tell us what was on the menu for our tasting! Everything was absolutely perfect! The food is served in small bites, but don’t be fooled, all 4 of us were so full we couldn’t finish everything! Every bite was delicious, I was especially happy with the yuzu egg salad bites, so creative and perfect bright flavor! I’m 100% coming back for more, thank you so much to the staff for making it a memorable experience for me and my family!! Love it here 🥰🫖🍰More infoHigh Tea Lounge at Le Meridien ArcadiaPrice: Very Expensive• Afternoon Tea• Arcadia•3.5

Discover Arcadia
Arcadia's craftsman-style homes nestled at the foot of the San Gabriel foothills provide a glimpse of gracious early 20th century California living. The city's restaurants reflect today's diverse, vibrant blend of tastes and cultures. Taiwanese food is an Arcadia specialty with Formosa-inspired restaurants serving Chinese sausage, oyster pancakes and stinky tofu. Shanghai-style food palaces also serve Xiao Long Bao (a wonton/dumpling combination), hotpot, and dim sum. Some of Arcadia's Chinese restaurants offer live fish and crustaceans you can select from tanks, and in minutes, they are delivered steaming hot to your table. Order deep-dish, thin crust, and cornmeal crust pizzas with gourmet toppings or traditional tomato sauce and cheese pizza from take-out and sit-down Italian restaurants.
