Always excellent both for service and value,one of my favourite places for coffee

We really enjoyed the food. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and chips were delicious. Every member of staff was polite, courteous and engaging. This is really important to my husband and. I. Really liked the ambience of Hawksmoor, calming and we could hear each other. It’s architecturaly beautiful inside and it’s great to see it used as a restaurant. Food was excellent value, coukd highly recommend the strawberry pavlova, declicious and beautifuly presented.

Booked a table in desperation as all other choices couldnt take us. Upon arrival the place was deserted and I had the dread id made a mistake. Couldn't have been more wrong. Warm welcome and shown to a lovely table in the window. My friend chose the set dinner menu of 3 courses which she said was delicious. My other friend and I both had fish and chips which was very nice indeed. Then we asked if we could also have the Lemon Posset desert from the set menu and it was fabulous. Will definitely go back. Can't understand why it was so quiet, can't recommend highly enough.

Very tasty food served by really friendly and efficient staff in a wonderful setting.
