Bone-In Ribeye Steak
Every dish delish. Especially the escargot.
This was our first time back since Musso reopened, and it was better than ever. We're regulars and all ordered our favorites--steak tartare, scallops, schnitzel, chicken parmigiana, and potatoes Lyonnaise--but they were especially good last night. The service was the best we've had since the pandemic began; just like old times. It seems to have gotten more expensive but that's hardly a surprise, given the lengthy shutdowns. We'll be back soon!
Awesome Experience would definitely come back! I loved everything!
It was just as I expected. A nice birthday dinner for a dear friend. Food tasted great and so were the service. The ambiance of the place was great as well.
Our visit to Musso & Frank was perfect. The combination of ambience service and food in a timeless Hollywood vibe.
Most people valet and enter through the rear of the restaurant and make their way forward to the maître d’, at this point you are already ensconced in the warm feel of the restaurant. You’re hoping it’s going to be great, and it will be. The menu is straightforward and offers up delicious food. Their cocktails are phenomenal as well. And the wine list covers from $ to $$$$$ — something for everyone.
I highly recommend starting off immediately with a cup of warm consommé for the table. It’s something you don’t see another restaurants, and it’s just delightful. I think that really sets the stage for your evening.
Congratulations on 100 years, Musso & Frank!!
Decent meal. Steak was not as good as I remember...
Service was decent but not up to snuff.
Always a classic but felt a little tired...
outstanding service. chicken parm was delicious. shrimp dish was not. lobster ravioli was really good. i was impressed with the portion sizes. bathroom needs to be remodeled.
The food and the service was excellent, however there were many flying insects at our table and we had to be moved. It was hard to continue with our meals after that experience. They offered us a few complimentary desserts, but I think that they should have discounted our meal for the inconvenience. I would not hurry back there.
Iconic, worth every penny. The food is not cutting edge or extremely fancy, and thats kinda half the charm. Regardless, it’s an absolute joy to dine here every time. The service is outstanding, and people watching is the best in the city, this evening we dined near Dita Von Teese. Treat yourself to a romantic evening here, you deserve it!
Musso is part of LA history and continues to thrive for good reason. My family has come to Musso & Frank for four generations. The food continues to be exceptional. Service always classically good. Building and interior are historic. Bustling with staff and patrons, there is an electric energy to the place. The menu is large and daily updated. Offered are delicacies long forgotten, like Duck Confit, Grilled Lamb Kidneys (said to be Charlie Chaplin's favorite), Lobster Thermidor, Celery stuffed with Roquefort Mousse, Jellied Consomme (think rich beef stock Jello) classic Steak Tartare, Calf's Sweetbreads and Oyster Stew. Famous for their old school bar and their classic M&F martini. The best quality steaks are charred perfectly over the historic open wood grill. Ask for the prime rib, a large 18 oz cut, "finished on the grill" for the most delicious "rib steak" you'll ever have. Musso is not an inexpensive restaurant, but unlike many other "high-end" places, here you get what you pay for.
This was my first time here. We ordered the steak tartar and it was yummy. Filet mignon was tender and tasty. Scallops were delicious. Asparagus and broccolini was cooked perfect. The prime rib was too chewy for me. For dessert we had apple cobbler and cheesecake. Both were delicious but the cobbler was my favorite. We got seated in the big dining area with the pretty chandeliers. I liked this room. We had a very relaxing birthday dinner with my son. I will definitely come back.
The service was exceptional! The food was good, the only thing I didn’t care for was the truffle Mac n cheese. The ribeye was cooked perfectly. My wife’s swordfish, ceaser salad and onion soup were also very good, not to mention the sourdough bread(which is complimentary). Overall, a nice night out at M&F.
Musso and Frank’s have maintained their excellence in their food, service and ambience! This historic landmark is still living up to it’s fame.
As usual every aspect was superb. We return to dine at Musso & Frank each time we visit.
Wonderful as always!
Great service, great cocktails, great food.
Impeccable service, great table, fantastic filet mignon and wine. Musso and Frank was on point yet again
The hours may currently be reduced by the current circumstances, but the quality of the service, the food, the pacing, and the overall experience continue to be excellent in all regards.
Great food. Fantastic service. Nice atmosphere. Would definitely eat there again and would highly recommend. A+ + +
Service was excellent and the cheesecake was the best I've Ever had.
Very poor service. 30 mins to get seated (after confirming reservation) Had to ask for server twice after being seated. Mediocre drinks. Very disappointed.
Celebrating a birthday. The host staff were well aware of our celebration, provided us with an excellent table, and had a special birthday card. Food and drinks were excellent and the old-school decor was absolutely cool and fun. Can’t wait to go back.
Absolutely excellent in every way.
The resturant is great for anytime ❤️
A very classy setting where they serve excellent food. Interest me u options
Classic Hollywood like nowhere else with a menu harkening back to that golden age.
It was our first time there. It was a beautiful time. Dinner was delicious. The ambiance was amazing. Thank you to our waiter Brian! And all staff were awesome. I want to go back as soon as I can. 😊
Wonderful place still... after all these years keeps getting better.
See you soon
A wonderful ambience, large and fun menu and unlike the days of yore, a staff with permanent smiles and not an ounce of condescension.
And still the best martini in town
What an amazing place. We loved everything!!!! Drinks, food and dessert!!!! The service was exceptional!!!!
The food was terrific. Daniel, our waiter was informed polite and amusing. The ambiance was good, it felt NORMAL!
This was a bucket list visit for us. The Musso & Frank Grill is one happening place. We went for an early dinner at 5:30 p.m. and the place was abuzz, though there were only 6 vehicles in the Valet Parking. So far as the food goes, it may have been the best dinner I have ever had away from home as everything was prepared to perfection...and I am not exaggerating. The ambience was great...old, but great. The service was good, but pretty casual...I've had better in New York and Chicago. The neighborhood is not that great these days, though there is plenty to see all around you if you are the adventurous type. For the best experience, I would drive and valet park or uber/lyft it there. Make sure your credit card will work...I wouldn't carry a lot of cash in this area...and you will need a fair amount of it here. All that said, my wife and I enjoyed Musso & Frank's as much as anywhere we have ever been. Don't miss it. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
Wonderful dinner with the kids at a historic Hollywood staple!
Musso and Frank Grill, as everyone knows, is a historic treasure, an icon, and an institution, and anyone who has been here more than once starts to feel a part of it. But it's not a 102 year old relic. It's a great restaurant run by great people who recognize how much this place means to the regulars.
Get Sonny to make you a Musso Martini at the old bar (ask him were Chandler used to sit) and then move to the old room and ask for the Faulkner, or the Chaplin, or the Welles table (a little wider) in the "Old Room" and hope you have Ryan O'Neill as a server. The wine list is pricey, (though the 2014 Petrus at $5,750 is a steal) but everything else is worth it. No one goes just once.
Always the Best. In Every Way. Never Bad. My Favorite Restaurant of All-Time.
If you want to dine in classic, old Hollywood glamour, with the the best steaks on the planet washed down by a generous martini, served by the most professional staff from the moment you walk in the door until the moment you walk out, then quite simply you should be at Musso's.
Great to be back after a five year break. Same wonderful old Hollywood vibe. Valet parking was $$$.
Everything is always fantastic in the dining room and in the bar. Best drinks and service in LA
