Great food but the service was the best and really stood out.
We stumbled upon this hidden gem on Saturday night and I am so glad we did. We just moved to Charleston about 2 months ago and it’s the best experience/food we’ve had since we moved here. Quiet, quaint, and located in a old Charleston home where you could feel the history. We will absolutely be returning regularly. I would recommend this to anyone who’s wanting a romantic date night spot.
Service was lousy. Too high prices for service to act like they are doing you a favor delivering food. Cause that’s how it felt. They were just delivery people. Food was not that great. I had the branzino...loaded with the bones. And I get all the time so I get how it should be prepared. Cocktails were good. Calimari was half of a plate Decor was cool tho and that’s prolly the only reason they are still in business I go out a lot in Charleston. Lots of competition for the food and service to be subpar
They put us on a private balcony for two. It was perfect.
Awesome food and service. Loved it.
Donnie is the best!!!!
Overall lackluster service. Food was enjoyable but not worth the wait we had after being seated (we did not receive our starter for 30 min, and the entree took an hour and a half.)
The beat food and service! Thank you Donnie for always making us feel welcome! We love Muse!!
The food and service was outstanding! Will return.
It was a lovely evening and Donnie made it a lot of fun!
Donny & Sam were a great service team that was both friendly and knowledgeable making it a great dining experience. The food and atmosphere was outstanding as we did al fresco dining in the courtyard. We had the Chicken Parmigiana and Veal Scaloppine topped off with a slice of their carrot cake, all of which i would highly recommend. Definitely will return next time were in the city. Also a shout-out to Roman who made sure our water glasses were always full and we had everything we needed
Most excellent evening at Muse. Food was excellent! Our server (Donnie) was very friendly and welcoming. Loved the atmosphere, wine, meal, and dessert. Another couple was visiting Charleston and said they had been there several nights in a row. I understand why! Will definitely be back soon!
Very nice restaurant with an intimate setting. I had the strip steak and my wife had the grouper. Both were very good. Service was exceptional. They do take COVID-19 very seriously here and you have to tap on the glass by the bar so that they can see if you are wearing a mask before they will open the door to let you in.
Great spot for date night. Went to dinner with two other couples and had a wonderful time as always! Competent servers that are well versed in the dinner and cocktail menus, fantastic ambiance, and of course delicious food. Never disappoints and will continue to be a go-to spot for me!
Shout out to Donnie....wonderful experience..never disappointed
Fabulous on all levels. Donny was our server and he is terrific! We will go back many times!
Great service. Lovely atmosphere. Restaurant located in good area (off side street).
really cool atomosphere, and terrific food! seasonal , and
really hard to choose an entree there were so many good
service was great too. a great evening, not rushed
so you could enjoy everything.
Really like this place. Outstanding food, service and atmosphere. Pricey but in line with other downtown restaurants.
We had an excellent evening at Muse. The food was excellent and our server, Caroline, was the best! Donny, the bartender, served up some superb Bloody Marys and some great conversation. We will definitely dine there again next time we are town!!
We celebrated our 31st anniversary here. Our server was wonderful and the food was amazing! I have a gluten intolerance and had pumpkin goat cheese ravioli ... gluten free!!! So delicious! I can’t wait to go back!
Beautiful space, good service, but just average food.
A bridal party was making a great deal of noise. Our table couldn’t hear our conversation. Guess it goes with the territory.
Had a nice time - we left our credit card - someone called us and mailed it - very nice it them...
Excellent evening. Our compliments to Donnie.
Amazing service and amazing food! This is a must!
Excellent food & service. Very eclectic, inside definitely could use a refresh!
If you are looking for a truly special experience in Charleston, then MUSE is a must! Even if only to be served by Sam, the best waiter we have ever had!!!
The ambiance is so cozy, in a gorgeous old building and the wine list is varied and contains selections from France, Italy, Spain, California, New York....many favorites to be had!
Can't wait til our next visit to Charleston to come back!
Had an amazing experience, the food was phenomenal and our waiter was so friendly and attentive. Definitely going to go back again soon.
It was the best food ever! So great!
Muse was pretty good, but not great. The tuna tartare was bland, probably frozen pieces. I expected more. The waiter was not as classy as the restaurant tries to be. All of the food was just average. We put in an appetizer order, but they seemed to hold it hostage until we ordered our entrees. My shrimp was overcooked. The crowd seemed to be all locals, so it must be consistently decent. Not a lot of attention to detail. Not 5 star. Sorry.
An absolute wonder experience and meal. Sam was our waiter and provided excellent service. I couldn't get to the bottom of my water glass. We were able to get a seat outside in their wonder courtyard. My wife and I split the arugula salad with the most delicious manchego cheese. I had the seared bass that was perfectly de-boned with caramelized opinions and red peppers. The highlight of the dish was a cauliflower purée that I wanted to take a bath in. It was creamy and over the top delicious. My wife had the local fresh shrimp and polenta. She said is was a steps above a shrimp and grits dish. If in Charleston, you want to be sure to dine here.
Perfect! Great service and food
Great experience, superior service. Inconsistent entrees, some were great, some were ok. Enjoyed the meal.
Bad customer service , bland food , not worth the money.
Highly recommend! The food was out of this world as was the service. We were visiting Charleston to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and the folks at Muse went out of their way to be sure we had a fantastic experience.
There are places you go to eat, some where you go to be get fed and those where you go to dine. Despite being extraordinarily busy due to the day and inclement weather, Muse made sure we were comfortable and provided exquisite food for our 28th Wedding Anniversary celebration.
A bottle of El Arino from Spain as a thoughtful pairing to their Snapper special and my fried whole Sea bass created a great meal.
We recommend anyone dine here for a good epicurean experience...especially when celebrating!
Service was outstanding, food was great was great. Last minute pick for a late dinner - couldn’t have been better.
Food and service was excellent!
