Can't wait to return! A fantastic experience from start to finish. Incredible service, delicious food. The staff is wonderful!
The restaurant is tired and appears dirty, floors walls etc. The entrance to the restaurant outside has random chairs and tables. Could be more
Presentable. The entrance was passing by the bar which was piled high with bagged napkins and other miscellaneous items. Emprove these items and you will get repeat customers.
Excellent food and service...definitely recommend.
Nice place with nice atmosphere. Short staffed and they admitted that. It all was fine until dessert which took forever.
The Muse is a European/ French inspired restaurant in downtown Charleston. The setting is inside of a historic house that used to be an old dentist office. We ordered a bottle of a Portuguese white wine to pair with our seafood dishes. I ordered a shrimp and grits dish with a tomato based broth and my wife ordered the pan seared sea bass. Both dishes were excellent, full of flavor, and beautifully plated. For dessert we shared a pomegranate trifle. It was extremely moist, light and fluffy. Our service was exceptional, the waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and was prompt with all of our requests without being a burden. I highly recommend the Muse as a place to dine in the beautiful city of Charleston.
Fantastic service, amazing food, delightful atmosphere. A wonderful dining experience!
This place is completely over rated. Although in a historic house which is an attraction, it is completely run down, no upkeep and the service was awful. Severely understaffed. Don't waste your money.
Our waiter was Sam and he was spectacular. We were in town visiting from Savannah so we have some high standards for when we go out to eat. Muse met every single expectation. Sam was funny, knowledgeable, friendly, and his service was perfect. It is hard to find a place that offers good food and good service, but Muse hit both marks. The food was amazing and you can tell the pasta is all homemade. Delicious. We will absolutely be back!
We had a fabulous dinner tonight at Muse! The local shrimp were perfectly cooked and particularly delicious. Our server Sam was friendly, helpful, and attentive. We were seated upstairs and felt like we had plenty of space between tables. Overall, a wonderful dining experience.
Sensational restaurant. Food was over the top amazing and the service stellar!!! Lovely outside seating area!!!
Love the atmosphere. Great Italian food. Highly recommend. It is one of our “go to” restaurant when we visit Charleston.
The restaurant is very cute, definitely gives you the old world Italy vibe in downtown Charleston. The service was very good but I think they are short staffed because it took about 40 minutes to get our drinks, however once that was brought to their attention they were very attentive from there on our. Food was excellent! We will go back.
The restaurant is pretty, an old house in Downtown Charleston. There is some outdoor seating, as well as in individual rooms over 2 or 3 floors.
Service was very good.
The food was fine. Not outstanding. The catch of the day was better than the fish on the menu, flounder I think. Pretty bland. Mussels were good.
This was our 6th or 7th time at Muse, and as always, it did not disappoint! The ambiance in the old converted house is so charming and welcoming. Every dish was incredible - the tomato soup (HEAVENLY), the grouper special, sea bass, chicken park, mereguez sausage, all phenomenal! Our server Sam was a delight and made the experience extra fun. Would highly recommend this restaurant! Cannot wait to return.
The food was spectacular!! Donnie went out of his way to make sure our evening was perfect!!
Muse was outstanding! We visit Charleston every couple of years and always try something new.
The food was exceptional. Highly recommend the scallops! Our server, Sam, was exceptional.
Request the Romeo and Juliet balcony. A great dining and date night experience.
Great Fish! Not overcooked, just right. We enjoyed it.
The staff was vert helpful and knowledgeable regarding food allergies. Staff was friendly and it was a great date night spot. Not too noisy or crowded for a nice dinner out.
The tagliatelle bolognese was superb. The fried calamari was perfect. The scalloping was delicious as was the sea bass. The wines and desserts were excellent as well. The service was impeccable.
Fantastic atmosphere and service. They reserved a private balcony for us and the waiter had some great recommendations
I don't think I have ever had such amazing service. The server took the time to learn our names and comped my drink because we were there celebrating my birthday. The food was absolutely phenomenal. I HIGHLY recommend this place to everyone. I cannot wait to go back.
We are new to Charleston found the Muse restaurant and Wine bar were greeted by Joe later Donnie.
We were there for 8 o’clock dinner reservations it started to rain thunder and lightning.
Donnie made sure to get us a table so that we wouldn’t get wet.
We ended up eating out at a small intimate balcony for two. The food was great cream of cauliflower soup. The Cod special was excellent.
My husband had the pork chop.
Caroline our waitress was very accommodating and Enjoyed her.
Would definitely go back again.
Seemed a little understaffed but the food was good.
Had a wonderful meal with my visiting mother and sister. Great space, delicious food and our server, Donnie, was a lovely guy. I’ll definitely be back.
Fantastic experience, excellent food. Donny made great suggestions on the wine and food. Will definitely come back!
Wonderful flavorful dishes and very friendly service. Our first impression of the restaurant was hard to get past due to confusion with our reservation, being sat at a table too large for our party and looking into a storage room.
Great drinks and service. They have house drink specials that very good but a little pricey. We had an appetizer and dinner. The food was also good. The service we received made the night very enjoyable
The staff was exceptional as was the food. Went out for f their way to make our daughter’s 17th birthday wonderful!
Very comfortable experience in outdoor seating area, Old World vibe, casual atmosphere but attentive, personalized service, nicely varied menu.
Such a cool eclectic space! Food was fabulous, love the
Ambience and the frenetic service (based on the flurry of customers).
Sam was the best ever!!!
We were seated promptly, but maybe because we were seated behind a screen, it took a bit to get our orders in. From there, the food and service were excellent. Would highly recommend the mezze and chicken parm. The whole sea bass was also great.
Wonderful dinner and great staff! Everyone was so kind and the food was absolutely delicious, would definitely go back.
We were in Charleston so our granddaughter could look at the College of Charlestown. I was looking for a nice local spot with reasonable prices in comparison to some of the other restaurants that I had visited over the years.
Muse fits that bill quiet well. The restaurant is a block off the busy streets in a traditional Charleston home. There is no large dining room but the smaller rooms you would expect in a house. We basically had our own room but it was not like we were in a closet. We could still see most of the restaurant.
Our server was a senior at the college and was able to give our granddaughter some valuable advice. She was also very professional and efficient.
Cocktails were well prepared. I drink bourbon on the rocks and was pleased with the pour.
The menu is not large but has something for everyone. There is a featured fish and steak that changes nightly. I had the sous vide Ribeye. It was super tender and flavorful. We shared the carrot cake and found it excellent.
An evening well spent
Our servers were very attentive without being over intrusive
Great restaurant tucked away and super charming. The service was outstanding!!! Everyone is so personable. Wonderful food!! Highly recommend!
The host/bar guy greeted me by name when I arrived, and was great with suggestions. I was dining alone, but he helped me feel at home. The food was good, but truly the reason to return was the atmosphere and the good vibes.
Fantastic service and delicious meal . Cozy atmosphere. Loved it !
Sam was excellent. Tomato bisque soup was excellent as was the crab crusted flounder.
