Muse is a favorite that does not fail to deliver delicious food to the table.
Wonderful restaurant tucked away from main area of downtown . John our waiter was super attentive to all. Great Veal Saltimbo!
This place is a must when Charleston. Our server, Donny, couldn’t have been better. He was personable and witty and attentive to our every need. We ate mainly starters. the duck breast was superb. The beat and bib salad was crisp and fresh. The bruschetta was perfectly toasted with a soft center. Not to mention the flourless chocolate cake at the end
We travel and eat out a lot. This place was a treat and a nice change of pace!
The best part of the dinner was the wine we chose. The pasta was over cooked and the sauce had no taste. I had to ask the waitress for Parmesan cheese and nothing was added to the olive oil to dip your bread. It was very disappointing.
We had high hopes based on the reviews, but Muse just missed the Mark. The sausage appetizer was delicious but the entrees (chicken parm and veal scalloping) missed the mark. I would say that there are much better options in Charleston and Mount Pleasant for authentic Italian and Mediterranean quinine.
Such a nice vibe to hang out with friends. It’s a little off the street and very cozy.
I had the veal which was fine although skimpy on meat with lots of spinach my husband had the braised beef and found it very wanting with very little meat; our guest had seafood which was good. Overall rather pricey for small mains & no sides.
Beautiful ambiance! Our server; Donnie gave us personal attention. The food was delicious but the portions were small. Highly recommend fir ambiance and service.
We are raving fans of Muae. Our reservation this time was for New Years Day .
The experience with the waitress was preasured almost as though we were eating in a a diner.
The Manager took out menus and surprised us for every course. Everything was outstanding. The array of flavors in every dish were amazing. We will be regulars for sure!
The service was excellent from first waking in the door through paying the check. Has a first date and the table, cuisine, service, quality and ambiance was ideal. New to town and found a gem!
We had a New Year's diner here. Food was great! Service was slow but maybe because of a lot people having dinner at the same time. Anyway, I would come back there again!
The entire staff was most professional, welcoming and fun.
Great spot ! Awesome food. Best veal I’ve had in many years !
My wife and I decided this would be our special New Years Eve destination. From the moment we entered we could tell it was going to be a special evening. The building is so old town and authentic. It definitely felt like a genuine Charlestonian experience. The service was polite and attentive. Our table was for two but almost large enough for four. There seems to be several unique vignettes separated into Different rooms, and an open air outdoor dining area. The place is really cool, but the food is absolutely amazing. My wife had a Shrimp dish in a dark sauce over polenta, with tomatoes. I had the sea scallops, with wild mushrooms over a smooth rich cream sauce and risotto. This was one of the best meals we have ever had.
New Year’s Eve
We enjoyed everything and plan on dining at Muse again!
Grazed on several appetizers...they sere all delicious! I will be back.
Great service, food was good, both of us had fish dishes that were well prepared. Great bar also!
Excellent food and very cool
Old building. Cozy and quiet.
Food okay... atmosphere okay...service not very good... overpriced for the experience.
Checked in for dinner reservation and stepped into the bar as suggested since table wasn’t quite ready. This was among the most uncomfortable experiences we’ve ever had in a restaurant . Bartender never acknowledged our presence for over 15 minutes we waited beyond our reservation. - he actively checked in with the 10 patrons seated at the bar and NEVER even made eye contact or asked what we would like.
The meal itself was awesome…. The Albariño was delicious and the vibe was relaxed and comfy. Had to mention what a miss the bar was - would never recommend that aspect of Muse and there are plenty of other restaurants who understand what true hospitality is. I’d skip Muse and choose another.
Excellent food and service! Would definitely recommend!
The entrees were not served in an hour and a half, so we left.
Great for date night. Our server John was a little over stretched but not his fault and others stepped in to cover. We'll definitely go back as food was wonderful!
Everything was ok. Not great.
Donnie was great!! Made our Christmas Eve dinner so special
Our meal was wonderful. We loved the wine selection and the bruschetta, ravioli, and tagliatelle. We definitely would recommend Muse!
Took over two hours for food to get to table. Un acceptable. Ordered short ribs expecting a cut of meat, what came out was more of a stew with with 6 dice sized cubes of meat. Rest was vegetables.
We are regulars at Muse, and they always exceed expectations. Wonderful.
Great Food, Wine and Service. Top notch atmosphere that's classy without being pretentious. Very comfortable and romantic dinner spot!
This was a fantastic restaurant with great food, superb service and friendly staff. The price was in line with similar restaurants. We really enjoyed our meal. My only criticism is the noise level. It was hard to hear. Work on acoustics.
We really enjoyed Muse! Will definitely go back.
Donnie was the man! This was our first time in Charleston and we were celebrating our anniversary. We often get stuck in choosing stuff we normally eat at new restaurants, but Donnie took care of that. He choose our appetizers, our entrees, and desserts. The duck was an incredible appetizer and the veal was out of this world. 10/10 through and through. Will definitely be coming back to Muse every time we come to Charleston, SC!
The food was amazing. The portions were good and the staff were absolutely wonderful! Definitely will go here again next visit to Charleston!
Way over priced
The food was excellent, the ambience superior and service perfect. Kaitie expertly guided us through the menu and greatly contributed to a lovely evening. The duck appetizer was WONDERFUL!!! Would love to have it in a full entre form.
Incredible dining experience! No idea how this gem stayed hidden so long but will be back soon for more!
