There were two special groups that competed with us for waiter’s attention. Otherwise, great
The food was delicious and beautiful ambiance. Our server was superbly attentive and welcoming. Thank you! I had a wonderful Bday brunch!
The food was phenomenal, when it finally arrived… it was a long 30 minute wait
The salmon was the best ever…
Buttery melt in your mouth to perfection
The food was average the price way overrated the portion was small atmosphere was good service was good would not recommend this place to anyone
I feel that they're not getting it. Service very slow and not what I'd expect for such an expensive meal. Weak ambiance and inattentive wait staff. Wine list ridiculously overpriced. It's a bummer when you read a 100 page wine list and each page only has wines between 200-1000. Pretty disappointed and won't be making this a stop again.
Server was best part. Had some difficulties with the reservation, and the host handled them diplomatic efficiency. Food very mediocre, and certainly not worth the cost. If "used, rustic and a bit tattered" is the decor look they are going for, then they hit the mark. Glad we experienced it, but we won't be back.
everything was excellent
Had a great time enjoying a nice lunch with a lovely view. Staff was very friendly and food was great! I will return❤
Our server did his best but first dish (halibut) was over cooked and replaced with salmon that was raw in the center (not rare as would have been acceptable). Drinks before hand in Farley Bar were prepared by an amateur bartender who did not know how to mix a simple old fashioned, which we sent back. Ambiance outdated and very worn. Disappointed! Left early.
The outside seating was strange—tight quarters and sitting side by side. They moved us inside, which was better. But then the food was just ok. I’ve been here for brunch and it’s a totally different experience and food quality. I highly recommend brunch, but would not go back for dinner.
Wonderful experience - fantastic food and exceptional service. Can’t wait to go back!
Post surgery celebration
My favorite part of Murray Circle is the wonderful menu choices, the excellent food, and the lovely locatin and views. Almost everything on the menus, both for lunch and dinner, seems appealing. I had a salmon BLT with salad for lunch, and it was absolutely delish. Soft foccacio roll, excellent wild salmon, ripe tomato, ripe avo, and a good spread, Tastily-dressed spring mix accompanied it perfectly. My friend's porcini papardelle was excellent as well with deep flavor. Molten chocolate cake with fresh berries and vanilla gelato was the perfect ending served with 3 spoons! Cocktails were tasty too, but both the cocktails and dessert seem high in price compared to the relative value of the food. Otherwise, nothing to fault. I am already looking forward to our next visit.
We had breakfast on the porch. Great views of the bay and bridge. Breakfast was delicious and my kids enjoyed the food and scenery. Walked down to the water for fantastic views of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Fran. There is also a lot of history with the Inn. Pricy but worth it.
Love this place. Get an outside table. It's a great place.
Loved it my friend and I celebrated our birthdays together! Great lunch the poke was amazing
Murry Circle is a great place to enjoy cocktails on the porches. It could be a fantastic
restaurant with an expanded menu over the current offerings. Quality and quantities are good. Ambience is lacking inside the restaurant which has excellent unexplored potential for being a top choice. Overall in Richard Alexander's book Murray Circle is missing an opportunity.
Wonderful brunch and spectacular views!
Dinner for a friends birthday and overall everyone enjoyed their evening. The one stand out was the overall lack-luster service. The support staff was excellent, but the waiter was not engaging and just made us feel as though he couldn't care a less if we were there or not. Experiences are based upon relationships and interactions, and many times that can make or break what you take away from something. Looking forward to returning as the deserts in particular were fantastic and the ambiance is quite nice. So close to the city, yet so far away.
So wonderful to be back inside! Fantastic service and great food.
The hostess was rude - she wanted to shut down the outside patio and therefore expressed obvious frustration with us when we insisted on keeping our reservation for patio seating - it has a view of the Golden Gate Bridge, come on! But after that hiccup the service was good and the food was delicious. And the view is unbeatable!!
Had a delicious dinner for two, with 3 appetizers and 1 main, the 3 appetizers were outstanding (roast carrots, asparagus and one with short ribs). The main was a pasta with braised duck that was OK not great. Dessert was a fruit cobbler, also excellent.
We had two cocktails that were well made (a Manhattan and a Vesper). The first try at the Vesper had a problem (all water), but they fixed it nicely and I was a happy camper
The sole negative is the somewhat dark and dreary look to the place, really could use new carpeting and less funereal paint. But we had a very nice experience overall, and recommend it gladly
Murray Circle provides a pleasant atmosphere for business as well as pleasure. The menu is interesting and the wine list extensive.
Incredible setting with pretty good food. My recollection was that it was supposed to be great many years ago, but now is quite good, but not great.
Food, ambiance and service were top notch! The staff did a great job taking care of us,
A lovely venue, with delicious food and excellent service.
Thank you for making our son's engagement so special. Some food comments- ahi tuna salad not seasoned well enough and would have liked some greens rather than only frisee. Also some tomatoes or other vegetables would have been nice. Steak sandwich had quite a bit of grisal and fat. Drinks were great! Desserts were great too! Service was wonderful!
The food was cold indicating it was not picked up and delivered on time. The bread for the Avacado toast was stale.
The server seemed constantly irritated and inpatient.
Overall we were very disappointed as the menu looked to be good. We expected the restaurant to be up to the level of the property and related spa, but unfortunately this was not the case
🤩 awesome experience with epic view of Golden Gate Bridge
Great service. Inside dining room is a little dowdy, and chairs are comfortable and table spacing is good. Wide variety of menu choices, wine list is quite decent and intelligently priced “right.”
What a special place. The views, food and the staff were all wonderful!!
We enjoyed the evening very much. We did however feel as if the room was a bit like a waiting room or a parlor rather than a restaurant, and thus it did not feel cozy. The food was delicious.
I was not aware of this lodge until I came to stay nearby with friends. I made a reservation at the last minute and it was an excellent dinner with great service by Tim.
I have loved the food at Murray Circle but my ahi tuna salad was poorly executed. Very disappointed.
Dinner was great! We ordered a last drink after dinner and wanted to take it next-door to Murray bar. They were very sensitive about allowing someone to bring a drink in from the dining room. Understandable given the limited capacity of the bar and recent Covid restrictions going back over a year. We ended up enjoying our drink and tipping again to make sure the wait staff was happy.
Gréât Sunday brunch in the terrace. Love the server! The food and drinks were delicious.
Had lunch in dining room. Nicely spaced tables, attentive service and delicious food.
Super windy, wish they would build out more of the solid plastic fixtures to block the wind
We were seated on time and were lucky enough to get a table inside! The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and engaging. Michael the bartender made great drinks & the food was outstanding!
All pleasant meals during our stay, including an "in-the-room" breakfast.
