We were traveling through SD and looked for a local place to eat. My husband likes Guinness beer so we selected Murphy’s Pub and Grill. We made a reservation for 7 pm and arrived a little early. There were empty tables so we were seated right away. Our server greeted us quickly, took our drink order, and gave us time to review the menu. We decided to share fried pickles - not the pickle chips so often served, but a wedge of dill pickle wrapped in thin ham and mozzarella cheese, and fried in batter like fish and chips. They were excellent! We then shared an order of Buffalo Meatloaf, served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Also excellent! The meatloaf was a little more expensive than some of the other entrees but was worth it. The noise level was a little loud, but it is, after all, a pub. All in all we had an excellent time and would certainly make it a go-to restaurant if we were local. As an aside, we did not see a parking lot for the pub, but there were lots of metered spots on the road, and on the holiday weekend there was no charge. I am not sure what the daily policy is.

Visiting the area and went here twice for dinner. Very casual nice place. Try the chisel for an appetizer. Really good and a local thing. Had the prime dip and dads potato salad one night. Pass on the potato salad if you don’t like tartness. Replace it with cranberry Coleslaw…yum! Second night I tried the portobello wrap which was very good as well. Two members of my party had the Matt Melt and said it was very good. One other party member had the steak and potato salad both nights and said it was really good. Get a reservation this place fills up fast. Would definitely go back if I lived closer.

I waited over 30 minutes to receive my first drink, and our food did not arrives until we had been there over 90 minutes. Luckily we were with good company. The server was polite, but did not check on us very often.

We were able to get seated right away, the fried pickles are a must-have, the food was delicious. Only thing I would criticize is we got our sides and about 1 minute later they brought our food out so waiting a few minutes would've been helpful.

Great environment - great menu - salmon was lacking - weird flavor - didn't finish it because it just tasted like frozen, weirdly sauced product. On the other hand, the fish and chips were great - all other items seemed to be fantastic.

This was a spur of the moment dinner while traveling and it was excellent. Good menu including gluten free and lots of bar food Our server, Cory was terrific. He sings, he dances, tells jokes, and serves food too!! A nice dinner on the road

Had a great meal while in town for parents weekend. Had a table in the corner so it was quiet there. Other parts of the pub are more “lively”. Portions are large and food and drinks we well like all around.

Good as usual. I tried the Buffalo Meatloaf and it was OK but it isn’t my favorite Murphy’s meal. My husband’s fish and chips were wonderful and dessert was delicious. Great selection of adult beverages too

We were on trip with friends. We went there for late dinner. The menu changed to appetizer food after we arrived. It took awhile for server to come to table and they wouldn’t let us order from full menu even though we were there before menu changed which wasn’t accommodating. The food was ok not great.

We had reservations and were seated right away. The food was not as expected. Two of us had grilled cheese and there was a very small amount of cheese on both of them. Friend had the mushroom wrap and it had again a very small amount of mushroom much anything else in it. Almost uneatable. Very disappointed

Food was very good. We started with the fried pickle appetizer. The spears were wrapped in prosciutto and cheese and batter coated then deep fried. Very good! Entrees were a hamburger for him and a 1/2 salad topped with salmon for me. Service was attentive and we never felt rushed.

Started with chicken wings in the watermelon/ jalapeno sauce, very good. Wife had the hamburger which was overcooked, with good fries. I had the bacon wrapped bison meatloaf which was dried out. Had to ask for a side of bbq sauce to make it palatable. Service was uneven as we believe our server was a newbie.

Amazing food and our server was fantastic!! Water came out before we even asked for it. Beers were cold and my salmon salad was amazing. The Moms deviled eggs were also very good!!
