Great wait staff, unbelievable view of Tetons. Prime rib left much to be desired. Not cooked to specifications and tough.
Was not the table we hope for but was still Grandview
The stunning views of the Teton Mountains make this a real dining experience. The food was delicious and the service attentive. Will definitely eat here again when I'm in the Teton National Park.
It certainly met our expectations. I feel like it’s a little pricey but to be expected within a National park. Our experience was fantastic.
Appetizer excellent portobellos. Also shrimp was good.
Main course Elk. Absolutely awful. Dry and tough. And it was the most expensive entree.
Others in our party had and liked the risotto.
Bison steak was also awful.
Air conditioning was not working and dining room was VERY hot. Was surprised the management didn't bring this to our attention when we arrived or offer any discount as it was very uncomfortable.
Restaurant was extremely hot and uncomfortable. Service was great. Food was good, but not worth the price.
We’ve been here in the past the food has always been much better The last time we were there was two years ago. We ordered the prime rib two different sizes but they came as the same size there was no difference so we paid for a bigger cut but didn’t feel like we got a bigger cut. The potatoes that came with it were terrible they had horse radish all over them and no one ate them, We had to send our sprite back it tasted terrible we got a replacement but still was terrible our waitress said their soda gun/machine wasn’t working which seems crazy in a place that’s so expensive you would think they could get it fixed they had to go next-door to get our sprite.
We usually dine here every time we go to Yellowstone which is about every other year but after this last experience don’t think will go back. Very disappointed!
Great views of the Tetons. The elk tenderloin was tuff and sent back. The replacement beef tenderloin was very good. The lake trout was very good. The waitress was very helpful returning the steak.
Fabulous service, delicious food -salads,salmon, prime rib. Salmon not over cooked. Accommodated food sensitivities so professionally and politely. Gorgeous view of Tetons. A+.
Charles was the best server! He was very knowledgeable about the menu as well as the area!
The setting is spectacular and the food is unusual and tasty! The staff was very pleasant.
Excellent service and food - one of the best park lodge meals i have ever had!
Beautiful setting. Friendly service. Great food
Family birthday and father’s day celebration for lunch with five adults (4 vegetarian) and two kids. Had to request view of the mountains vs the murals TWICE despite request in the reservation and at check-in. Vegetarian dishes were bland or over salted. Chicken breast was ok. Huckleberry desserts were sour and soggy. Ice cream was good. Not worth the premium for the view.
We had a very nice anniversary dinner, sitting next to the window with a spectacular view of the Grand Tetons mountain range as well as Jackson Lake. Our main server was pleasant, friendly and accommodating. Bus person was very efficient keeping water glasses filled with ice cold water (didn't drink, as we hit happy hour prior to dinner).
Desert was good but pretty small portion (cheesecake).
Overall, it was a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience.
This place not only looks amazing but food and servers excellent. Came for lunch and dinner and had a wonderful time. Chicken delicious and portobello appetizer was mouth watering. Charles was an attentive and friendly server. Went above and beyond our expectations.
For a very pricy meal in a room with history and a “to die for” view, the food was awful. Over cooked, dry, no sauces, mushier risotto, were just some of the low points. Topping it off was a huckleberry shortcake that was so dry, you couldn’t eat it. How can you ruin huckleberries?
A beautiful dining room with a spectacular view of the Tetons. A nice, if somewhat limited menu, with a pretty good wine list. But somebody needs to supervise the cook. (Note that I didn’t say ‘chef’). My not- inexpensive pork tommyhawk hop was not only cut unevenly, but the ‘down’ side was black—burned, and my medium-well was very, very well—burnt, actually. Circumstances prohibited me from sending it back. Next time, I will!
But, I allowed for the fact that I was dining in a national park!
Overall it was just okay... We were seated 40 min after our reservation time and next to a waiter/waitress service area where it was hard for them to do much without being on top of us. Food, after so much rave, was just okay. My bison was dry and the salad came out at the same time...
Lived up to its reputation of having one of the most beautiful views of any restaurant I have been to. Friendly staff, large wild game selection on menu.
Amazing views. Fantastic wait staff!
The views here are absolutely incredible. The food and service, on the other hand, are not. We had to wait 20 minutes for bread and wine to come out (and the room was only about 20% full). My elk steak was way overcooked, and my partner's mussels had hair in it (the short curly kind). But again, the view is stunning, particularly at sunset.
Always the best! My favorite restaurant in the world.
Our dinner was good. We both had wild salmon which came with wild rice and Brussels sprouts. The sprouts were undercooked and blah. It the salmon and rice were very good. Our waiter was knowledgeable, particularly about wine.
Once again we came for dinner to this excellent restaurant in the heart of the beautiful Grand Teton National Park. Our recommendation is to time your reservation to the time of year, and to the setting sun for this location. We aim to sit down about 30 min prior to the official sunset, and then we sit and watch the show: Often a beautiful sunset as the sun drops low on the western horizon and then behind the magnificent mountains. There really is no better more romantic scene than this - all in the comfort indoors behind 30 foot floor to ceiling windows eating a fabulous meal.
If you can arrive a bit before your reservation (and DO MAKE reservations!) the lounge is very good - get a drink and then sit at the outdoor tables to take in the scene. Be sure to tell the hostess where you are so they can come and find you when your table is ready. If bad weather, sit inside the lounge - or better yet in the grand lobby in from of the fire place.
We have lived here for the better part of 25 years. We love Jackson as well - but the consistency of restaurants in town is problematic. One year the food can be great, and when you return a year later, only marginal. Not so here in the Mural Room at JLL. Always consistent and always excellent. It is a bit expensive, but we find the experience worth the cost and feel the value of an occasional special night out with "dinner and a sunset" to be excellent.
Decor and view were wonderful. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Trout was only OK, and pork tomahawk was a bit overcooked.
Awful. Great environment, but the service was so bad it was laughable.
Not only is the view of The Tetons outstanding so is the staff and the food!
Having a son with multiple allergies dining out can be a challenge, but the serves and the chef all handled everything just beautifully!
A wonderful wine selection as well!
Great staff, great good, great atmosphere!
Nice experience. Food and service were better this, the second night of our visit.
Beautiful table, special anniversary meal. Window beside table dirty with food debris, both water glasses sent back, dirty, waiter "sniffed" at our concerns. Inexperienced waiter, had to ask about wine list, person she asked did not bother to speak to us yet could see he was not overly busy. Meal arrived within 5 minutes, did not even get bread which comes with meal so speedy was meal delivered. Waiter barely spoke to us and meal served by different staff. Water glass not replenished. Sense that they wanted to clean up and go home. (8 pm booking). All in all very disappointing. Would not recommend despite it being described as fine dining by reception. Meal further disturbed by argument between next door table and staff over plates being removed too quickly, staff handled this well and table behind us noisily sending their food back. Not sure why.
Food and service were superb and you can't beat the view. Celebrated a birthday and they were very accomomodating
Everything was fine but not exceptional. I had higher expectations.
The food is decent and the view is outstanding . The wait staff was great.
Nice and enjoyable
Restaurant is in Jackson lodge at grand Teton National park. View of mountains and willow flats is famous and for a good reason. Service is nice, everyone is friendly, food is a lot local and very nice. A bit expensive. If you’re at Jackson lodge you’re already spending g a lot of money, so it’s worth one night’s dinner
If the view was not the mountains it would not be worth the money. Waiter was ok the guy that filled the water glasses needs to be acwaiter much more responsive and observant
All greeting and service were excellent. The food was a bit pricey, but that is expected. I don’t think it was the best food in the park for the price, but overall a 4/5 experience.
It was a nice touch for the staff to know it was a birthday dinner, and the waiter knew our names.
Attentive service, fresh delicious food with a unique view of the awesome Teton mountains. Enjoy a leisurely meal.
The Mural Room gets such a low rating primarily because if you can't cook Steaks at the preferred medium then you've failed. Had to send back two steaks that were served well done instead of medium and then we next ones served one was still over done and the second one verged on bloody rare. By now we just said screw it and proceeded. They were taken of the bill, which is the right thing to do, but you expect a dining facility that is to be fine dining to at least know how to cook steaks. Remember it is always about the food. Additionally, the server after this failure was not attentive as she spent way to much time chatting with another table. Also be advised that if you are party of three or more have no tables by the window, as requested.
