Another great meal. The crispy pork is outstanding.
We absolutely loved Morcilla. The food, service and ambiance were awesome!
Our favorite place in Pittsburgh. You can easily design your own experience and leave feeling completely satisfied but not "overly" full. Also fun and inventive cocktail menu
We were there early (5:15 reservation) on a Saturday, so it wasn't packed. Food was great. Really love the uniqueness of the dishes. Service was perfect.
We specifically went for the roast pig dish and they were out. It was disappointing.
This was our first visit to Morcilla, but won't be our last! With such an array of choices on the menus from snacks through entrees, we chose the fixed menu (Family Feast), which is also a fabulous value and changes seasonally. The charcuterie, featuring a sampling of sausages cured in-house, and the fresh bread, started us off. Each new dish was a delight, and we never could choose a favorite. Our main server, Stephanie, and the other servers who delivered dishes, fresh plates, silverware and drinks, were knowledgeable and helpful. The entire experience was a delight.
Just outstanding in every way
Some hits and some misses. The northern African influence, while interesting, left me missing a more traditional take on Spanish food. I will say the Pulpo was excellent.
Amazing food and excellent gin selection!
loved the salad with little gem lettuce, goat cheese, fresh dill and garlic croutons. Also had a very nice cocktail
Amazing service! Wonderful meal! Excellent Gin and tonic.
Outstanding! Nate and his team are always surprising us with new dishes. Our favorites are the SETAS A LA PLANCHA (mushrooms with an egg yolk) and COSTILLAS DE LA MATANZA (baby back ribs). Morcilla raised the bar for fantastic food in Pittsburgh!
Always a great meal/experience. Thank you!
Our server was fantastic! She provided great food and drink recommendations. Everything was delicious.
We had been to Morcilla and tried various tapas from the menu. This time we decided to try the Family Feast selected by the chef. It was a perfect sampling of apps, a generous charcuterie board, a large seafood entree for two, and desert. Thoroughly enjoyable. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the food preparation, as we had many questions about the delicious combination of ingredients. Highly recommended.
Delicious Spanish tapas, portions are small for the price charged.
Hands down best restaurant in Pittsburgh.
An absolute must in Pittsburgh! Everything reminded me of our visit to San Sebastián. Went with a small group and ordered the tasting menu. It was fantastic. The cocktails were equally creative and fun to drink. Would come back to Pittsburgh just for La Morcilla!
We dine at Morcilla often and it is always wonderful! It’s our favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh and would highly recommend it. Can’t wait until our next visit. Don’t miss the olives and bread appetizers... yum.
A bit expensive for the quantity but the quality was worth the experience!
Great food. Waitress was okay but because all the servers seem to work together overall service was good. A little loud for conversation.
This. Was. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The Oxtail Montadito was literally life changing.
Food was outstanding but wait person lessened the experience. As a customer I am there for a pleasant meal and to enjoy myself. I don't know why some young wait staff feel they have license to talk down to and otherwise degrade customers, but I don't return when I am treated this way. There are many choices, and I am not restricted. Owners should put their employees on notice.
Food was incredible but made even better by our service! We did the food tasting & experienced wonderful flavors. Don’t miss this restaurant!
We ate family style. The presentation was interesting. Everyone enjoyed the food - except for the steak - that was so tough it was difficult to cut. Disappointing for a $55 NY strip steak. Dessert was the frozen Crema Catalana, the best part of the meal.
The variety of offerings was a welcome aspect of the menu.
The food was excellent & our server Samantha was knowledgeable,
witty & helpful.
We'll be back ....soon!
We’ve been to Morcilla’s twice now. It has been amazing both times and we will continue to come back! Food is amazing, service was perfect. Very intimate feeling, couldn’t have asked for a better date night!
We went for our anniversary. The $115 wine was worth it and the food... we ordered so so so much. It was all fabulous
We tried to pick our favorite dishes but it is really hard. The food is so good, so well prepared and presented. We thought it might be easier to try to pick our "least favorite" out of the array of 4 snacks, 3 small plates and one large plate that we tried. But least favorite doesn't mean didn't like it, or it didn't taste great. This is just a great restaurant -- one that we plan to keep coming back to, to keep trying new things and being awed by the creativity. But let me just say -- the trout large plate -- OMG.
The only cons for our group: It is a little too dimly lit for our older eyes, and the noise level can get "energetic."
Love this place. Staff and kitchen are phenomenal.
Exceptional wait staff. Well versed in everything on the menu. She watched to make sure we had everything we needed but did not ask us every few minutes if we were okay. Love this! We ordered the beet/goat cheese small plate. Really good. We also ordered beef for 2. Also really good. For dessert we ordered what we thought was going to be a type of flan. It was creme brulee dressed up to be something else. Somewhat disappointing. Overall, a great place for dinner.
Great food and great service. There were five of us and we tried just about every small plate on the menu. I’ll go back for sure!
Fabulous food! Loved the olives, setas a la plancha, beet salad, salt cod fritters, and dessert of churros with chocolate sauce and grapefruit sorbet. Service and recommendations were stellar.
Food was stunning and redeemed my thoughts on octopus. The ribs were too spicy for us, but still delicious. We had the olives, cheese, charcuteria, mackerel, asparagus, and ribs. All amazing. We shared our friends snacks of beets and octopus, as well as the trout. Quite delicious! Churros to end <3
Morcilla had some of the most fantastic food! Very unique dishes which I have not had before such as ox tail and marinated cheese. Knowledgeable staff and great atmosphere made the experience even more enjoyable. I can't wait to go back.
We had another wonderful dining experience this afternoon. We were greeted with a smile, Nick (our waiter) was very attentive and knowledgeable about the entire menu, the drinks were great, the atmosphere was vibrant and the food....amazingly sublime. We’ve never been disappointed. Muchísimas gracias por todo.
One of our favorite restaurants in Pittsburgh! Food is always amazing! Service is very good in general! Always a wonderful culinary experience!
