Montalcino Ristorante Italiano
We believe authentic Italiano food and wine are a way of life. All dishes are prepared with passion and tradition using only the freshest, highest quality, real Italian ingredients. Montalcino is a perfect location for a romantic date night, elegant birthday or anniversary celebration, a relaxed family dinner, or any special occasion.
With authentic Italian singer, Tony La Stella performing every week, it truly feels like you have traveled all the way to beautiful Italy.
A quality menu with a top unique wine selection including wines produced in Montalcino, Italy.
Buon Appetito and Salute!
Lobster Ravioli alla Mia
filled in a parmigiano cream sauce
This place was great. Our service was wonderful. Food was all delicious. We will be back again. Thanks for a great experience!
Phenomenal Italian restaurant tucked in downtown Issaquah. Food is amazing, staff, owners and ambiance are also amazing. Highly recommend going.
Celebrating my daughters birthday from previous Monday p.
Mya and Lucy were fantastic and then to join in song with Tony always adds something a little extra. As Tony says the more you drink the better he sounds. This was for my daughters 31st birthday and could not have been more happy with the food the ambiance and even getting to wear the traditional birthday fedora.
We have been loyal patrons for 7 years and we see that continuing.
Thank you to everyone including the kitchen team, Luis, and again Mya, Lucy and Tony.
This is our absolute favorite restaurant in the area for many reasons, and as such, we save it for occasions so that it stays special for us.
The staff is courteous and attentive. Our server explained the evening specials and spent lots of time with us. Her appreciation of the dishes was wonderful.
The fact that an evening here is never hurried is important to us. According to Open Table, the restaurant allows at least 2 hours per booking, plenty of time to savor a meal.
We also love the intimate atmosphere.
As always the food was exceptionally prepared, and the little extras of artisanal cheese between courses and the lovely port to complete the meal, really highlight how they are committed to the art of hospitality.
Amazing food, staff, ambiance great location for that special occasion or just to treat yourself!
This charming little italian restaurant is such a special place tucked away in downtown Issaquah. The food is superb and the interior is just like your in a little italian town.
We have been long-time loyal customers, but recently, the service has not been like it use to be. Last time, the server was not very knowledgeable. This time the server seemed more interested in hanging out in the back than serving us. She seemed rushed with every interaction. They overlooked my husband's birthday. I had to ask if we could order drinks, she did not even offer. We often could see her behind the curtain chilling, but then would rush around to see if we were okay, only to return to the back room. The food is overpriced, but in the past, the exquisite service made up for it. This will definitely have us rethinking our dining decision next time.
We try our best to avoid the guitar player. It was fun the first time we went, but to have him come to our table, each and every time we dine there, is annoying, and almost has us avoiding dining here.
We hope that the service improves and maybe cut the guitar player a few nights a week? Please?
What a fantastic little restaurant. Reminds me of my favorite NYC Italian spots
Intimate, romantic and friendly, this is the perfect location for a night out with a loved one. The staff is great at making you feel like a dear friend who hasn't dropped by in a while -- they are attentive without being bothersome, and incredibly welcoming. A five-star dining experience in an area of the Eastside not known for it, this is the hidden gem of downtown Issaquah.
Please note the restaurant is very small, so always a good idea to book ahead! We've found they're highly responsive to reservations, and have always had a table ready for us, no waits.
My kids ask to go to Montalcino for their birthday dinner. The food is great and the service is wonderful.
Best restaurant on the East side! Delicious and staff and owner bend over backwards making it an outstanding experience.
Excellent restaurant with exquisite food! I only wish the reservation could be longer than 90 minutes. Felt a little rushed getting in and out. Also, almost all the sauces were cream based. It would be great if they had a few more light tomato or olive oil options! Will definitely return.
The food is superb. It is a bit too dark even with the flashlight.
Food is fantastic, as always! However, our only complaint is the restaurant staff tends to rush you to make decisions on menu choices, so it’s not quite as relaxing an experience as it should be given the price.
Great as always.
Highly recommend for a celebration. You must enjoy the Italian singer in the background at minimum. Only complaint is a lack of healthier vegetable options, but you won’t be disappointed with the taste of any choice you make.
They are simply the best. If I could go every day...I would!
Not only is this restaurant outstanding but we live in Seattle and would travel here to just eat dinner.
One of the best in the Seattle area especially if you care more about the food than the view!!!
Intimate setting, book in advance as it fills up fast with reservations, food and service over the top.
Food was excellent; atmosphere was quiet and enjoyable - easy to have conversation; service was efficient and timely, but impersonal and rushed.
We have been going here for years and today was just as amazing!! You will not be disappointed. ❤
Loved everything about our evening here. The ambiance, the food, the service was superb.
Amazing on all levels. More than a meal, dining at Montalcino is an experience!
One of my favorite places to go for dinner! The food is excellent, the service is top-notch, and the overall environment is great. Highly recommend!
Montalcino is one of our favorite go-to spots for a romantic dinner. We're never disappointed by the experience- from the owner checking-in to the incredible food and complimentary treats, it's always an absolute delight.
Absolutely the most fabulous meal and experience at a restaurant that I have had in quite awhile.
The wine suggestion, the burrata appetizer, the cesar salad and the unbelievably delicious Lobster Ravioli exceeded my expectations. Thank you for a great night!
Our first dining experience at Montalcino won't be our last. We enjoyed lobster ravioli (with a lobster tail on top) followed by a delicious lamb shank, and couldn't resist the tiramisu for dessert. Chef Rick Ragan even came out and greeted his customers personally.
My wife and I decided to try out Montalcino over the weekend, given we had heard so much about it. Suffice it to say, our expectations were high going in, and they were exceeded on every front. The owner greeted us at the host station, and offered us our choice of seating as we had reservations. Lucy, our server was enthusiastic, friendly and attentive. We started out with the house wines (Sangiovese and Merlot respectively) served with bread drizzled with olive oil, and the Mozzarella di Bufala appetizer. For mains, my wife went for the Homemade Pasta Jumbo Lobster Saffron, while I chose the Ravioli all Juventus, featuring market-fresh mushrooms. Dinner was polished off with canoli, complimentary dessert wine and espresso. Every single item was exquisite in taste and texture, and portions were on the generous side. The meal was well-paced, and even the busing (by the ever-smiling Luiz) reflected a level of attention seldom provided in even the finest restaurants. The owner graciously stopped by every table and conversed with the diners, as things worked like clockwork around him. Overall, this was a fine dining experience in every sense of the word. My only regret is not having discovered this gem sooner!
Wonderful atmosphere, great food, friendly staff. Was greeted by the owner/manager (not sure?), and checked-in conversationally in a non-annoying "I'm trying to eat"-type way. Great lamb.
For a small place it was extremely comfortable and the food was excellent. We saw many dishes go by that we'd like to try in the future. The recommendations were spot on. We'll definitely be back!
As always excellent authentic cuisine, attentive friendly service and just a wonderful dining experience.
We’ve been many times and each time the food is outstanding, the service is good and the overall experience is excellent
Montalcino is always a delight! Their house made pasta is delicious, ambiance is cozy, and service is friendly and attentive. It’s always a special occasion to dine here.
Nice restaurant, but the music was a little over powering. Great menu, but I found the food to be a little heavy.
I cannot stop telling people about the wonderful time we had eating here for my husband's birthday. Lovely and helpful staff, amazing food and wine, and the coziest of atmospheres. If you want to walk you feeling like you just ate the best meal of your life, go here and get whatever is on special. You will not be disappointed. The seafood pasta and lamb shank were earth shatteringly amazing. I've been eating scallops my whole life and never had one as perfectly cooked. 100/100 will be back again and again.
Delicious as always!
Montalcino’s never disappoints!
Husbands 51at birthday
Expensive as expected. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent.
