Way too expensive for the food quality served.
The quality of our meal was mediocre at best.
The lamb was over cooked, the chicken was over cooked - really tough and dry, the Italian sausage was EXTREMELY greasy, the calamari was not fresh..., tasted fishy, the pasta was over cooked, the extremely small lobster tail consisted of three bites, and we only received one prawn with each meal.
In our case, paying $150+ for an appetizer, two meals, and only water..., for myself and my wife, was extremely excessive for the quality/quantity of food served.
Oh, and the waitresses were beautiful, polite and good at their jobs..., but they were inappropriately dressed for what was supposed to be a quality family Italian restaurant.
Several of us felt they were dressed to work in a local bar, and our wives were shocked when they could actually see through their dresses...., it made them uncomfortable.
Some men might like this, but not when they go out for a nice meal with their girlfriend, wife, children and/or family.
Superb food and atmosphere, as always. We did, however, feel like we were being rushed.
One of my favorite dining experiences in the Seattle area.. in house musician is always s a nice touch!
An excellent meal nicely served. Made for an outstanding anniversary experience.
Might be one of the best meals we ever enjoyed. Pricey, yes. But you get what you pay for. Amazing service. Good size portions. Save room for cannolis!
Excellent service. Restaurant is cozy and the food is good. Nice bottle of Sangiovese for $35!
I have been to Montalcinos for several dinners and have ALWAYS had an amazing experience - delicious food - wonderful service - This is one of my favorite restaurants.
Great as always!
Birthday dinner for my wife with friends and family.....excellent!
Hands down, the best Northwesty Italian around...a fantastic experience. Yes, it's top dollar, but they make it worth it. We enjoyed the lobster and prawn linguini in saffron, and the Montalcino salad with appetizers...there is plenty to split, but you can go hungry...but classiest place to go, with that private feel you don't get at the overly commercial fancy places.
Excellent service, excellent wine at reasonable prices and great Italian food.
As usual this restaurant does not disappoint! We love it here and continues to be our favorite. We will be back for sure
The only downside was the guitar player. The music played was a little loud and music choice didn’t fit the atmosphere at all.
This place is amazing. The food is outrageously good and the service is fantastic. Prices are more than reasonable, especially when you consider what you'd pay in downtown Seattle for the same meal. Will definitely be back to Montalcino Ristorante Italiano!
Small and intimate setting that is just delightful, excellent food, great service. We love it here.
Excellent food. Everything we have tried is amazing.
We had a great meal and great service. No more no less
Have had the good fortune to dine all over Europe, Asia, the US, some in Central and South America. It doesn't get any better than this...
Montalcino never disappoints. I was dreaming about the tortellini and peas for weeks and was happy to have my fill.
This restaurant continues to amaze us. An authentic Italian restaurant tucked into an Issaquah old downtown side street which is packed at 5:00 for dinner because everyone knows they're going to get a fabulous meal, great service, all in an intimate setting. It's the kind of place you continue to talk about the next several days...it's that good.
V ery nice ambiance and good service, and wonderful food.
We have found home again. It appears that we have found home again. It's been too long since we've had our nearby, authentic, down home, wonderful Italian food respite. Thank you for the food. Thank you for the feeling.

Had a wonderful evening. Classy place. Would definitely go again on special occasions.
Good food, we enjoy it; intimate atmosphere amplified by voice and guitar instrument played by a live singer;
Very considerate wait staff. Enjoyed the menu options, interesting choices but a bit spendy for the specials. Maybe upgrade the flash lights. LOL Had a good time. Thanks Richard
Best filet I’ve had in my entire life! Love love love this restaurant. 5 stars hands down
Montalcino has become my favorite restaurant. They take care of you, help celebrate special occasions and have AMAZING food.
Lovely dinner for celebration dinner. Food excellent and service was impeccable!
Service and food was outstanding!!! Loved our server . This was a birthday event. We came here for restaurant week and plan to return many times due to our experience.
We went during Restaurant Week and will definitely be returning to try the normal menu. Two of our party ordered the calamari in saffron sauce for their appetizers--they both loved it. I had the cheese/meats plate and it was generous and beautifully served. The gnocchi with gran parma sauce was quickly devoured and the paparadelle with roasted red pepper cream sauce was over-the-top good. We had one of each of the three desserts; they were all delicious. Service was impeccable and the little extras, such as fresh baked bread drizzled with balsamic vinegar and the house-made cheese with truffles made it a special evening.
As always, excellent food and service. If you enjoy delicious Italian food I would highly recommend Montalcinos.
The food was great and the service was outstanding. We came here for Seattle Restaurant week and we will definitely be back to try some of the regular entrees. The homemade salami was wonderful!
Authentic, Italian cuisine, properly prepared with fresh, fresh ingredients. The leftovers still tasted great the next day. Service was attentive and accommodating. Wine pairing advice was spot-on. The moderate sized room kept the volume low enough to have good conversation with dinner. Others dining appeared to be a wide variety of backgrounds and interests. The menu is broad and ambitious - so many offerings - it's hard to believe they are all as well prepared as our dinners were. We will be back to try more entrees from the menu.
The dinner and ambiance was perfect for our Bday Celebration. it was definitely worth the drive! I have already recommended to many friends. Thanks Tony for your beautiful music.
Great food, great service!
Best Italian food I have had in the US. Comparable to a restaurant I went to in Venice, Italy. Great service and reminded me of a quaint restaurant in Italy. Amazing food and good wine. I plan on coming back soon.
Magnificent! If you go anywhere else to eat when you are in or around Issaquah you’ve made a mistake. This is a great find for an incredible meal. Try the short rib stuffed raviolis....you won’t be disappointed! I’ll be back for sure.
Dined at Montalcino as part of Seattle Restaurant week. Everything was delicious and perfectly prepared--Italian comfort food. Not for fitness buffs. The housemade truffle cheese was a delightful surprise. The pesto sauce is the best we've ever had. Our server was cheerful and thoughtful. A great night!
Awesome as always!
