Monello Cucina is the contemporary expression of coastal Italian fare. Our restaurant celebrates the cuisine of the Campania region, one that weaves the charm of rustic simplicity with the inherent elegance of fresh ingredients. An extensive wine list and exceptional cocktail program—complete with a house made limoncello—complements a menu that pushes boundaries even as it seeks to preserve tradition. The warm, inviting dining room showcases the graceful style of the region while the approachable staff works to anticipate the diner’s every need.

Executive Chef Mike “YC” DeCamp has created a menu for Monello that features cuisine from the Campania region of Italy. Our menu celebrates the abundance of the farmer’s field and the fisherman’s boat. Standards like fresh pasta and panzanella are offered alongside more adventurous choices, including a razor clam crudo and whole fish for sharing.

The food was pretty good, just not up to what I would expect for the cost. Serving sizes were on the small side, and I eat pretty light. Tasty, small, expensive dishes.

It’s always nice to surprised with the quality of service and good. All of the dishes were memorable. I hadn’t been to this location since it was Porter & Frye. I would highly recommend it for special occasions.

Excellent service, not annoying at all between conversations, well informed server with good knowledge of wine pairing with food, attentive but not over then top. The food is always creative and delicious.

Unfortunately we were seated between a small child and a busy kitchen. The rabbit pasta was excellent, but the veggie tart left something to be desired. The chocolate dessert had a fairly tough crust. I was sick later that night. Our experience was good but not outstanding.

The food wasn't terrible, but for the price I was expecting a lot more. The tables are on top of each other in the area that we sat. I had a hard time talking to my wife across the table over the conversations being had by the tables on each side of us. The servers and staff were all very nice, but the food and tight seating arrangement kind of ruined our experience.

When I made reservations I was asked about my time restriction which I provided. We sat down at 12:10 and didn’t get our food until 1:09. During this 59 minutes the waiter never came and told us when the food was coming not was he apologetic for the wait. At 12:49 is asked when the food would be ready because we had to be back at our event at 1:30, he said it’s coming and walked away. When our food came two peppers sandwiches were cold, and the fries were over cooked and they forgot the fries for the kid at our table. For such a beautiful restaurant I was beyond disappointed in the service. The food was mediocre. Will not go back.

It was a good experience. The food however is not authentic Italian. I was a little disappointed when they told me that they precook the pasta and cannot serve it al dente
