   Met up with friends before going to a museum. Perfect location, great brunch menu, wonderful day to sit on the patio. Everyone enjoyed their meal and excellent Bloody Mary! Looking forward to my next visit.

   Fantastic food and service! Our server was called Chris and he was extremely accommodating and pleasant when we asked to change to a different table. The atmosphere inside was very relaxing, we would definitely eat here again :)

   Reunion brunch with out of town friends in this lovely and lively restaurant. It’s in a beautiful hotel located in the Museum District of Houston. Great food! Excellent professional service. Validated Valet parking.

    The seared ahi tostadas and lamb lollipops are a must. They have a nice “by the glass” wine selection, too. Great ambiance.

    My friends and I arrived at Monarch at 1:00 on a Wednesday. We were promptly given our menus and setups by a waitress and then didn't see her ever again. After over 30 minutes of waiting (and seeing others a tables near us being served) a woman employee (not dressed as a waitress or server) finally took our order. Another 20 minutes of waiting and we were finally served. A similar wait ensued for our check. I have had excellent service at Monarch in the past, but I will rethink returning.

    Greeter seated us sway from the noisier section, our waitperson, Jasmine, could not have been better, and the food was wonderful.

    Great ambience, especially their "outside" patio which was heated comfortably. Would be a great date place. Good appetizers but my main was a little underwhelming. Good not great. Service was a little pokey -- it seemed like they were maybe missing a waitstaff member, as one waiter was covering lots of tables.

    Nice atmosphere especially for a hotel restaurant. Slow service. Breakfast was decent but the most shocking was a Bloody Mary ($16) is more expensive than an entire Breakfast entree (eggs, meat, potatoes and toady $14)!! Unbelievable! And, it was probably one of the worst Bloody Mary's we've ever had!!

    Poor menu, but the food is good. I ordered cream tomato basil bisque with grilled chicken and shrimp, and salad, really good. The coffee was cold.

    We really liked the brussels sprouts, it was a good portion too. Drink and wine was really good. My fiancé really liked the rib, my pasta was fine, good portions as well. Our server was nice, the manager was very good in customer service. We did go to the museum before that and it was a really nice ending to Thursday date night.

    The food has improved since my last visit here. The salmon and Brussels sprouts were very good. The server, however, was pretty clueless about the food and hard to find when we order more drinks.

    Amazing place. Zaza club sandwich it’s tasty and in general all dishes in the menu are delicious. Great hot tea selection. Taylor the server and the stuff was really attentive. Great food and ambiance.

    My husband and I stayed at hotel ZaZa for a one night anniversary stay away from our kids and decided rather than leave for dinner we would eat at Monarch in the hotel, that was a huge mistake! We made reservations on open table letting them know we were celebrating our anniversary. The hostess seated us on the outside patio with no mention of “happy anniversary or welcome back” it was very rushed and awkward. There were 2 servers for the whole patio and it was fairly busy. Drinks took forever and the food was very so so and made our stomach very upset for 2 days! Waiter was rushed (not his fault he was overworked) and never said happy anniversary, the whole night felt very i special!! Not how you want to feel on your anniversary. We let the manager know and he did comp our bill (wasn’t much bc we didn’t order a whole lot) which we appreciated, us both being in the hospitality industry for years and years. I just think the food and service are lacking from what it used to and don’t want anyone else to waste their time going for a special occasion. Aioli and salad dressings def not made in house and nothing was special! Just sad bc we really used to enjoy monarch. We did have a great breakfast at the other hotel ZaZa in memorial a few months ago.
